    Just in case you guys were wondering the word you were looking for when talking about the buttons is tactility. That being said thank you for the review. I've started a gaming channel (not self plugging) and right now I only have my phone to make videos on so a good controller is just what I need.

    This to me is the real upgrade to the Kishi v1, love how compact it folds down and how snugly the rubber bands hold the phone in without adding much weight. The rigid backed controllers lose so much of their portability due to the size.

    My Kishi v1 had its left side fail on me, so now I'm in the market for a new one of these. My wife and I have different schedules so it's great to get the chance to stream my PC games to my phone.

    Strange request, but can you guys do a video testing every controller with COD Mobile? For some reason, Backbone appears to be the only one that COD Mobile will recognize without the need to map the screen. I was wondering if there are any others. I’m particularly interested in seeing if the Gamevice Flex or GamesirX2 Pro work without screen mapping if you have those two.

      Gamesir X2 Bluetooth can do COD Mobile without a janky app or screen mapping. You can set it to connect as an Xbox controller (pink light shows instead of blue) and it works great. I've played tons of games, from COD Mobile to emulators with zero issues. I've never noticed any lag, it's never lost connection, and the battery lasts 6-8 hours. I can also keep the case on my phone.
      I didn't want a controller that plugs into my phone and tried a few BT controllers but kept the Gamesir X2 BT because it works every time, is comfortable (and I have to use grips on 3ds/Switch), and packs small. Underrated controller and I don't know why more people aren't playing COD on it.

    I've been researching a new gamepad to replace my Razer Kishi V1, and seen lots of people recommending the Gamevice Flex gamepad.
    The one grip I have with my Razer Kishi V1 is the vertical placement the analog thumb stick...especially the right thumb stick.... it actually feels strenuous on my thumb and wrist when attempting to press X,Y,A,B. It even causes me to constantly have to reposition my right trigger finger.
    My preferred placement is that of the xbox controller. (Minimal movement of your thumb between stick and X,Y,A,B buttons)

      They are very different mainly because the Moga is Bluetooth only where the Gamevice is a direct usb-c (or lightning for iPhone) connection.
      As far as feel and use goes they both have their strong points. I think prefer the sticks of the Moga and I do like that it feels like a console controller but the Gamevice has great feeling buttons, triggers and sticks as well being very comfortable. Ultimately I personally prefer to use the Gamevice for everyday use simply because of the hard wired connection being secure (because Bluetooth can be picky) and also because it doesn’t require you to charge it like the Moga does.

    Just a heads up. This controller on Android doesnt support cod mobile.
    I just bought one, I play cod mobile and Diablo Immortal.
    I ordered this as it works with a case on the phone.
    As soon as i got it, I set it up, tested things like charging, buying, sticks etc..... Everything worked.
    I played Diablo Immortal and it worked flawlessly. I then started cod mobile and to my surprise, nothing worked.
    Upon further research, I found out that cod mobile for iphone is the only one supported, but for Android users they get left in the cold 😔.
    So be aware, if you want this for cod mobile on Android, your sol.
    There are work arounds but that leaves you stuck to a wifi.
    The other work around is connect a xbox controller via Bluetooth and you can then use the gamevice flex and everything works, but niether of these is an option.
    Firstly having to be around a wifi connection all the time kinda defeats the purpose and meaning of "mobile" gaming. Secondly if I have to use a xbox controller why in the hell wouldn't I just use the xbox controller to begin with, instead of lugging the gamevice flex + xbox control around, seems kinda silly and stipid way of setting up things 🤦🤦.
    Making a bt controller inside the gamevice flex would be a MUCH better solution.
    I'm pretty upset and disappointed that this thing only supports 13 mobile games max, and cod mobile is not one of them
    I'm returning mine for a refund, as I can't see using it for one game, Diablo Immortal.
    I have also emailed gamevice and asked if they every plan on supporting cod mobile in the future, still have yet to hear anything from them.
    Anyways, this post is just a heads up for Android users, to inform that this does not support cod mobile on Android

      If you are on android try and app called “Mantis Mapper” it allows you map button presses to the correct place on the screen and honestly makes it feel as though it was designed for the controller. We are actually working on a video on how to set up mantis mapper.

    • @alpha_y2k438
      @alpha_y2k438 Год назад

      @@CompleteGeekTV correct, there are 2 work arounds to using this.
      One is enabling the bt Xbox controller via Bluetooth, once it is connected everything works on the gamevice flex just fine, but if I'm going to do that, why wouldn't I just use the Xbox controller? 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♂️
      The other way is what you mentioned. There are 2 apps I found, but..... Both require to use developer with USB debugging (I'm good with this setting as I have that enabled anyways) and wireless USB debugging. The problem with using wireless USB debugging you have to be connected to a WiFi connection all the time, otherwise it doesn't work. That kinda defeats the "mobile" gaming aspect of it.
      I can use the Xbox controller via bt and use it anywhere I have cell service without needing any other device or other connection.
      So there it is, neither of these is a viable solution or work around in my eyes.
      One way you have to lug around 3 devices, phone, Xbox controller, and gamevice flex.
      Other way needs a wireless connection at all times.
      I honestly don't know anyone that would be happy with either of these.

      We actually use to have the red magic 6 pro but don’t anymore. Unless they’ve made it drastically larger with 8 I don’t see why it wouldn’t fit just fine! There is A LOT of room for cases with the gamevice flex.

    We bought our son the Backbone for his iPhone and he loves ❤️ it. He uses it mainly for playing Call of Duty. Wish I would have seen this review before buying it. Gamevice Flex or Moga XP7-X Plus? Which one do y'all think is better?

    • @CompleteGeekTV
      @CompleteGeekTV  Год назад

      That's a pretty harder choice. I think we would probably pick the Gamevice Flex but we definitely think the XP7-X is fantastic. There are pros to both and they are two of our favorites. It comes down to fit, portability, and direct connection for us. Both have great controls. It really is a hard choice for us. We will be doing some in depth videos covering this more to help buyers.

    Regardless of whether Gamevice Flex the best mobile game controller in the market, your review is definitely the best of all in RUclips. Awesome work!!
    And I am really looking forward your detailed comparison video, it would be so cool if you can do the D-pad comparison between Kishi V1 and Flex. I actually own a Kishi V1 and I love it, I even stuffed a pcb teared from a USB dongle in to the grip to to make it capable with 3.5mm headphone jack. So the only pain point of my Kishi V1 is simply the spongy D-pad, please please do the comparison in your next video, then I can see if it's worthy for a 100 bucks upgrade.

    • @CompleteGeekTV
      @CompleteGeekTV  2 года назад +1

      Thanks so much! We will definitely compare the D-Pads in our next video. It’s hard to say whether it’s worth the price for a new mobile controller these days since they are all pretty similar. Although we do think the gamevice flex is the first one to warrant the upgrade in the past year.

      @@CompleteGeekTV I was referring to the USB-C in port. Would connecting a USBC cable from a tablet to the in port on the controller work? BTW, this would be a helpful feature to test on android controllers in the future because this feature allows people to use the controller on other android devices like tablets (or even on Windows PCs theoretically) when not using it with their phones. Can RetroArch for ps1 ?

    • @CompleteGeekTV
      @CompleteGeekTV  Год назад

      I’m not sure as we haven’t tried that. I would think that would depend more on the phone and the retroarch app. Do you know if RetroArch works with any other 3rd party mobile controllers? If so then this should work as well since all of the ones we’ve tried seem to be equally compatible with the same apps and programs.

    • @CompleteGeekTV
      @CompleteGeekTV  Год назад

      A quick search on google shows a few people using the iOS version of the gamevice working with RetroArch. So if you have an iPhone it should be fine. It may work with android as well I just didn’t see any confirmed posts about it. It also looks as though others are getting the Razer Kishi on android to work with RetroArch so I would assume this would as well. But if you want to play it safe the Kishi is still a fine controller. We think this is a little more comfortable feeling but they work the same overall.

    • @CompleteGeekTV
      @CompleteGeekTV  2 года назад +2

      That’s a tough question! I (Jordan) personally like the simplicity of the gamevice flex since it’s either USB or Lightning port powered. I’m not a fan of setting up Bluetooth if I can avoid it because anything wireless has the potential to disconnect or not connect properly. But I do think the Nacon is a little more comfortable overall. I guess I would pick the gamevice if I’m using a phone but if my plan was to use either a folding phone or a tablet then I would pick the Nacon since the gamevice won’t fit a tablet.
