Why You Still Love Five Nights at Freddy's

As someone who had Five Nights as Freddy's be my first proper contact with horror media back when I was younger, I and many others of my age managed to grow up accompanying the development of the franchise and the unfolding of its central mysteries. Even now that FNAF is about to turn a decade old, it is still beloved both by the younger audience, as well as those who were there when it first blew up.

Fnaf is still nostalgic, even after 9 years. I remember when I was 8 watching Markipler playing Witch’s House and IB. However, soon the day came when he first upload the first fnaf video. Nice video, deserves more subs, now back to my Arknights grind.

I'm not 9 years old, so I don't like FNAF. I was a grown man when it became popular, so obviously I don't feel nostalgia for it either. That's the only way I can imagine anyone over the age of 12 still being fond of it; growing up with it.

My friends and I were talking about this a while ago. We were kids when it released. We all feel too old for the series and don’t know why every time a new game comes out we have to watch another markiplier video on it. It’s just been something really connected to the childhood of anyone that grew up near 2000 and it’s purely for the sake of nostalgia now.
