No replaceable covers?! That was one of the defining points of the 3310! Everybody had the same phone, but no one had the same phone. Spending £7 on a Saturday morning, and swapping either the front or back half with a friend so you had 2 different designs! NOKIA has missed a trick here.
Giving a young kid acess to the internet is like letting a child go into a room full of talking adults except the adults don't even know the child's there
and funny enough neither the old version with the 2G cell tower shutdown, or the new one lacking US 3G GSM bands will work in the US, so Nokia shot themselves in the foot big time there with the growing baby boomer market that still does not like smart phones, so the new one is useless in my book.
voongnz lol ...didnt somd Nokia phones have hardware that were essentialy like a GSM frequency scanner if you modified it a bit with some firmware hack or entering in the factory diagnostic mode or some shit ? Now that's kickass hardware right there
It is a shame but they ruined it already when they gave the rights of the Nokia name to HMD. The real Nokia is busy with products for companies and not for consumers.
An Android based Razr flip phone with dual touch screens on the inside, and a back lit e-ink screen on the outside for notifications, and time would be awesome.
The 3310 was the phone that I always wanted when I was a child but I could never have it. My father had one and it drove me crazy that the phone I wanted so much was always close to me. He let me use it for snake of course. Then I got the 3410 and all was right with the world. But the 3310 still haunted me until I bought one last year. The child inside exploded with happiness.
Goliath last time someone threw a Nokia 3310 the world turned into a black hole, then the Nokia 3310 in the center of the black hole bent and wrapped time so much that it expanded and then travelled to the 10th dimension
+Jeff Blue If you want a burner phone you can get almost the same features for half the price. Or pay 10 bucks more and get the cheapest Nokia Lumia smartphone. There is no market for this 3310.
+My Account Black magic. Alternatively, just a custom Rom. +Strand This new 3310 won't sell as much units as the worst Lumia. Honestly, its design is crap, it only supports 2G and you can get comparable Nokia phones for half the price.
CrazyClown Insane But they were nowhere near as legendary as Nokia, Nokia gave no damn about style, they gave you a tank you could make phonecalls with
Ivo I. Motorola had excellent reception in my experience and was used mostly by businessmen . Nokia was more like a toy phone , almost everyone had one :) either that or Ericsson (man I loved the T39m)
It is just the Nokia 150 with double the price tag, smart if you ask me. But it has no focus on durability whatsoever. But we will probably see enough reviews on youtube praising it about its durability lol.
I am disappointed they didn't put all the modern WCDMA (3G) network on it. Many countries are reducing GSM coverage (2G). 2 years ago I desperately had to hunt for the last few Nokia feature phone with 3G network eg( 515, 301) for my parents. They still wanted phone with buttons. They travel a lot and found their old 2G phone were not getting network or very weak signals in many places they visit, while others with modern phone works just fine.
n3xt Adam The original 3310 is a little bit bulky but very durable, but the new 3310 is not. It is unknown if the new 3310 is waterproof while the original 3310 is not waterproof.
The 3310 was my first phone. Believe it or not, the reason I got it was because it was originally my mother's phone and she switched to another of Nokia's offerings after the LCD panel broke. Yes, that's right, our 3310 actually cracked... though it was just a portion of the screen so it hardly counts. Still, it was my first ever phone, and I absolutely loved it! The quintessential handheld mobile phone, an icon for a generation indeed, the classic 3310 lives on in the hearts of many to this day.
I think it'll sell amazingly. For people who are on an extreme budget and for older people. They don't want the fancy stuff that new phones have. They want it for one purpose...to make phone calls. I think it'll do well. Great video!
3310 was my second cell phone. me and all my friends and one. I specifically remember us trying to break our phones one day. throwing them against walls, etc. mine fell in the ocean at the beach once and was still working just fine. VIVA LA 3310
sparky 1.0 They're"coming back" with a crappy phone to capitalize on the nostalgia behind the original 3310 and doesn't even work with most carriers in the US. Glorious.
Back in the day i bought a 3210 and afterwards a 6210. That last one still works.... The 3310 just came in between. My last Nokia was the 8210 that thing was so small i loved it :). Again an awesome vid man. Love your work
do u like it? it has zero similarities to the old one to call it a homage. it's just an ugly phone with a reused name. they didn't have enough money to remake the old phone.
I must say, this phone isn't just for those who miss the good old days, this isn't just a throwback, it's the phone SO MANY people need. And I say this cause I have a grandma, my own father took years to learn enough of his now dead Galaxy S3...There are people out there who just can't stand today's tech or just won't learn how to use it
+Devonian While I've never held a new 3310, I would assume they are reasonably durable. A light "cheap feeling" plastic phone will absorb drops far better than an aluminum phone. As long as they designed it decently and used a half decent plastic, it should be relatively durable.
I agree, this is a case of when a lower mass improves durability by the sheer fact that the impact force is not as great as, say, the one that affects a heavier phone.
They should have kept the same design and monochrome screen.People miss old Nokia only because it has great battery life and it's indestructible. Nobody's going to bother writing messages or taking pictures from that phone. They could instead add water-resistance to make it truly unbreakable phone. They just slapped old name on a new phone hoping that it will attract buyers.Old name is not enough in my opinion.Nokia keeps fucking up itself.
I think is a great phone for people that can't afford the expensive phones out there, 3rd world countries, my parents... number one priority: Communication!!
Karyadi Iskandar But that is probably shit. I wouldn't want to surf the web with a 50$ smartphone. This thing may be the same price, but it's quality and does the things it's supposed and well.
Can't believe hundreds of people gave this a thumbs-down! I give *them* a thumbs-down! More superb work from the master. Thanks for a great introduction to what I hope will be a big seller this year - Nokia played it clever with this little beauty! :^)
I would rather see the moto razr. The first device that was a status symbol flip phone . Yeah, the was Nokia was reliable. But the moto razr was cool. because of how thin it was.
leoric21 Yeah, I also wish to own a flip phone like the Motorola Razr before Apple and Android change everything. In my opinion, both the original Nokia 3310 and Motorola Razr are cool looking phones.
I remember how excited I got when I got the Blackberry Flip. I was speechless from how awesome it looked. That would be a great throwback concept to revive
There's huge money in nostalgia, but this ain't the NES mini, which offers both an enjoyable and authentic experience. This has neither, so I'm guessing it will fail.
Jollo Jakar Are you joking, have you looked up for sale numbers for Nokia's new phones in India/China... They are insanely high and the global release is coming soon
Isn't durable, it's light and tacky, ugly af, mediocre battery life, spongy buttons, production quality of many other cheap and generic phones... This certainly isn't a 3310, let alone an "improved" 3310. It's just a Nokia 150 in a flimsy ugly shell.
Loved this!!! Not because I really want a 2017 Nokia 3310 but because I really enjoyed the voice that made me subscribe to PN. Even back in the day, I gravitated to the phones that had the sliders that slid out in landscape with a full QWERTY keyboard. If someone brought one of those back with a decent camera, I'd be all in.
I love it. I so had on of those phones 15 years ago. Man, I'm old. Mine was a nokia 33xx model but had LED's on the sides (most of the way up) that flashed when the phone rang. I loved that.
I just recently bought a brand new 3220 with two years of warranty. The 3220 was my first phone and released in 2004, so glad someone preserved it and sold it for only 80€
The most 'perfect' Nokia I recall owning was that small candybar 6230. I still miss that phone today. Todays smartphones do more but what was lost when the smartphone revolution took hold was the idea of being able to use your phone without having to be so visually engaged with it to use it. You could feel for the button, voice dial, assign functions to buttons. The call clarity was awesome, the battery life on standby was stellar, talk time was days worth. It was functional and ergonomic perfection that you could tuck away easily. They should do an evolutionary release on that model with the updated wireless/cellular standards. Heck, I also still have my "in near pristine condition", E90 which was kind of like the 6230 on steroids enroute to the smartphone phase. The last of non-touch screen warriors! Still fires up and works, only the modern cellular network GSM standards have moved on. . .
I was so happy to see this and nostalgic also . Yes it really is amazing how much things have changed since 1999 when I first got my Nokia 3310 . I do miss using it and I will buy one for backup and because of the good memories it brings back . I still have 3 Nokia 3310s in my collection back home and gues what ? They work just like in the first day .
Thanks for the shout out man, awesome video as always 👊😊
SuperSaf TV That's a jack pot comment to find!
Dude you rock, I love your enthusiasm when reviewing something. That's your trademark, a unique one :)
SuperSaf TV your videos is awesome
SuperSaf TV love your video also man you are also one of the few I listen too whenever there's a buzz in the tech industry (Y) kudos!

NOKIA has missed a trick here.
Can't wait until flip phones come back in style.
Technogen YES!
Technogen Give me a touch screen RAZR and you can have my money!
I would prefer sliders. I would definately buy a remake of nokia N95.
Technogen I'll take a new sidekick please!
Technogen Go to Japan, some guy I saw in the subway was wielding three at the same time.
Best phone for children. Instead of giving a 7 yo kid an iphone 7 that can destroy their lives forever, this one is the perfect phone for them.
Actually got an old Nokia for my 9th B-day😅
I was so hyped
this is exactly what went through my mind when watching this video.
Ok Boomer
Giving a young kid acess to the internet is like letting a child go into a room full of talking adults except the adults don't even know the child's there
@G Hq f lol. Where did this idiot came from
As always, the sequel is not as good as the original.
and funny enough neither the old version with the 2G cell tower shutdown, or the new one lacking US 3G GSM bands will work in the US, so Nokia shot themselves in the foot big time there with the growing baby boomer market that still does not like smart phones, so the new one is useless in my book.
The Empire Strikes Back
Dark Knight
Data Grab Godfather 2
The Wrath of Khan
i dropped my original from the second story and it gained a bar of signal! no lie.
voongnz I wish modern phones could do that
voongnz lol ...didnt somd Nokia phones have hardware that were essentialy like a GSM frequency scanner if you modified it a bit with some firmware hack or entering in the factory diagnostic mode or some shit ? Now that's kickass hardware right there
voongnz sounds like a zenkai boost. Drop it a dozen times and it becomes a smartphone
My old 3310 fell on a boiling pot of soup. IT STILL WORKED!
they ruined the legacy of their most famous phone.
Asiia Phan It Nokia only in name. The phone is made and run by a Chinese company now which licensed the Nokia brand name.
It is a shame but they ruined it already when they gave the rights of the Nokia name to HMD. The real Nokia is busy with products for companies and not for consumers.
Arlind22 but HMD execs are all ex Nokia execs...
HMD is a Finnish company and all HMD execs are former Nokia execs.
...but this phone is manufactured in China.
all drug dealers are getting an upgrade :)
lol.
jb@uk new software for 2017 drug dealers has the original 3310
jb@uk except I bet it's tampered
Primarily the Pimps ("Connecting People") then the drug dealers!
Lol you're dumb if you think that drug dealers are poor
Moto needs to re release the Razr
Should've released the Moto Z under that branding with a metal back since it was so thin
thesmart1 Then people will bitch like they are doing with this one.
You're damn right!
DrGanja99 That would blow mkbhd's mind
An Android based Razr flip phone with dual touch screens on the inside, and a back lit e-ink screen on the outside for notifications, and time would be awesome.
Best 2017 flagship

Glad you finally got it! It's one of those things you'll just hold on dearly to, even if you don't use it. It's special ^^
I smiled REALLY HARD watching this.... 😁
I'm gonna get this, and hopefully the original too because nostalgia demands it.
Great video Mr. Mobile!
Can I carry it into battle in a dark alley like the old one?
Tobi Ogunsanwo yes like an excalibur.
coffeeblak86 the story of Excalibur
dont forget to bring a shank.............
Goliath last time someone threw a Nokia 3310 the world turned into a black hole, then the Nokia 3310 in the center of the black hole bent and wrapped time so much that it expanded and then travelled to the 10th dimension
Why not just bring both? Bash your enemy to death with the old one while playing snake with the other xD
I'm waiting for the same thing from Motorola, the Razr was iconic.
1:59 that moment when u realized someone was taking a picture of you with a Nokia phone
But Nokia once had 41MP.
Who else wants the Motorola Razr to make a comeback?
But with Android
It did. Lol
Great News!
Yep. It became true.
He is the Messiah!
The ultimate burner phone is back!!
Jeff Blue my burner phone is my HTC Desire 530. My main driver is my HTC M8 with Android 7.0
+Jeff Blue If you want a burner phone you can get almost the same features for half the price. Or pay 10 bucks more and get the cheapest Nokia Lumia smartphone.
There is no market for this 3310.
There's more of a market for this than any Lumia *boomtish*
+My Account Black magic. Alternatively, just a custom Rom.
+Strand This new 3310 won't sell as much units as the worst Lumia. Honestly, its design is crap, it only supports 2G and you can get comparable Nokia phones for half the price.
No Snapdragon 835?
Shashank Laur Nice joke.
Snake PL saw the metal gear survive trailer ?
Notorious B.i.G Yeah, i saw it and i was very disappointed.
next is metal gear no man's sky
If it comes with USB Type-C and QUICKCHARGE it would be slaying every smartphone in battery and charging department
Arya Jonathan it doesn't need quick charge cuz its battery is only 1500mah
5000mah battery in a smartphone is nothing. It'll drain twice as fast as the 1500mah battery in the 3310
I still remembet when I wanted a new phone. My parents always told me "Nokias are the best, motorolas are the worst". 😄🤔
motorola is more cooler than nokia back then. the design is stylish. :-) i wish motorola will come up with new models.
Still true if your only considering Motorola and Nokia
i think they should have made it super durable, but they just reskin nokia 150
y
Or we could wait a torture test review of it, and make our judgement then.
ill definetly test its durability when it comes out, so if u like u can sub! xD
It is just the Nokia 150 with double the price tag, smart if you ask me. But it has no focus on durability whatsoever. But we will probably see enough reviews on youtube praising it about its durability lol.
we should fire each phone at each other and see which one survives the best.
i love NOKIA!!! i had so many Nokia phones way back 1998... it`s was the most popular phone during early 2000
The screen on the old 3310 was black and green, not black and white 😜.
Stefan JN it was monochrome display
Daniel Tsvik I was trying to be funny. That's why I added a "😜" smile.
Stefan JN Yeah. But emojis are retarded.
Stefan JN lol so true
Mr Andersson Sure bro. Have a great day. 😊👍😜😐😉😴😳☹️😎😲✌️🖖💪🔫🤓👊✌
I still have my 3310 from 2001! Thanks for the update! Have a blessed week!

He gives the best reviews he really describes what the product really is not some made up stuff read on the internet
It's not the same as the original :/
i still have the original in the box at my grandmas lol
KuntyKinte, No. But we expected an ACTUAL remake rather than just make another normal Nokia Symbian phone with a different body.
Bilal Patel what would an "ACTUAL remake" be like?
its a cute looking phone but somehow disappointed :-(
Yeah. He's not using his mind.
You sir are making videos like poems. Time flies when i watching them. Thank you for being awesome.
Do a comparison between the classic 3310 and the new one.
n3xt Adam The original 3310 is a little bit bulky but very durable, but the new 3310 is not. It is unknown if the new 3310 is waterproof while the original 3310 is not waterproof.
this looks more like a Nokia 6303 than the original

Welcome Back Nokia , this beautiful phone brings back the old memories 😔
You have the most beautiful videos on RUclips. Different than others and has a common language in all your videos. More like art.
note 7 vs nokia 3310
winner is 3310 because you wont die with it
I think it'll sell amazingly. For people who are on an extreme budget and for older people. They don't want the fancy stuff that new phones have. They want it for one purpose...to make phone calls. I think it'll do well. Great video!

I got one of these for my grandma when her old Nokia 1661 fell into a lake. She absolutely loves it!
I use Nokia X as my main phone. It's just like my old man. He's shit (sometimes) but I love him and he love me too.
This hands on touched to my heart. Great job. 👍👍👍

i am gonna buy that
who else will?
REALITY Me
REALITY me, for my secondary phone :)
do u like it? it has zero similarities to the old one to call it a homage. it's just an ugly phone with a reused name. they didn't have enough money to remake the old phone.
My flip phone is in a dire need to be replaced.
I'll buy one for my elder aunt who does not like Smartphones very well, but I could not personally see myself using it.
This channel really deserves 10 times as many subscribers as it has.
Its the upgraded version of the "Dealer's" phone😁
I must say, this phone isn't just for those who miss the good old days, this isn't just a throwback, it's the phone SO MANY people need. These phones were good because I got used to it, I was able to send texts without looking at my phone.
My grandma is gonna love this.
I finally have a great birthday gift!!
The real question is can it take a bullet
Michael Mills if it's anything like the old one it can take a heat seeking missile lol
Michael Mills The old one can't handle your mom so you shouldn't even consider buying one
Are you planning to take it with you in Afghanistan?
Jojo Estanero Mexico
MN 9 to a US school
hey man i luv the way u use rhymes and vocabulary in your videos...
Perfect execution!
its going to sell in India like crazy.....
Nokia did the homage, but you did yours.
Great video, man. Regards.
They should have made a rugged smartphone and named it Nokia 3310.
I bet the sales would've been through the roof.
It's already tough as nails, there's no need to make it rugged. ;)
Really? It doesn't feel rugged. I bet its not as durable as the old 3310. In fact I give my new 3310 a year or so before it packs it in.
+Devonian
While I've never held a new 3310, I would assume they are reasonably durable. A light "cheap feeling" plastic phone will absorb drops far better than an aluminum phone. As long as they designed it decently and used a half decent plastic, it should be relatively durable.

Disgusting design
Jiwan D that design is cool!
Gr8 job Mr. Mobile.. It's a must have item in 2017..
U r great.......Nokia is back!
Oh man, this is great. Bringing these phones back in style. Now if they can redo a Motorola Razr in 2017-2018 then I'm definitely sold!
Nice phone for grannies and grandpa.
great phone for any people who just don't need or want an expensive battery draining smartphone
....and anyone not a mindless drone.
I'm so buying this. Mr. Mobile and Supersaf, two tech guys I follow
2:48, so it doesn't support any US carriers... :/
I watched this video three times.... you should do more poetry in this kinda videos.... love your work....

Qwerty A and no one gives a fu*k
Do you do the English?
I remember how excited I got when I got the Blackberry Flip. I was speechless from how awesome it looked. That would be a great throwback concept to revive
Nobody asked for this phone. The market reaction will be harsh.
Jollo Jakar Lol, no. We did. It's only £41 I know many people who are gonna buy it just for the lols. I have the 2001 3310 so I'm fine.
There's huge money in nostalgia, but this ain't the NES mini, which offers both an enjoyable and authentic experience. This has neither, so I'm guessing it will fail.
Jollo Jakar Don't underestimate the power of marketing and the looseness of pockets.
Jollo Jakar for 49 euro ? I don't think they will feel much outrage:D
Jollo Jakar Are you joking, have you looked up for sale numbers for Nokia's new phones in India/China... They are insanely high and the global release is coming soon
THE LEGEND IS BACK !!!!

VGScreens points for the effort

It was functional and ergonomic perfection that you could tuck away easily. They should do an evolutionary release on that model with the updated wireless/cellular standards.
Heck, I also still have my "in near pristine condition", E90 which was kind of like the 6230 on steroids enroute to the smartphone phase. The last of non-touch screen warriors! Still fires up and works, only the modern cellular network GSM standards have moved on. . .
I get goosebumps when at the part when you said: "This is the Nokia 3310... again"
the legend is back
lovin your videos man, keep up the good work!
i like mrmobile's videos before watching!
3310 was the first mobile phone of mine ! Snake game & solid Nokia durability I can still remember those days ☺
your rhymes are awesome and attractive
and also all thumbnails of every video
I was so happy to see this and nostalgic also . Yes it really is amazing how much things have changed since 1999 when I first got my Nokia 3310 . I do miss using it and I will buy one for backup and because of the good memories it brings back . I still have 3 Nokia 3310s in my collection back home and gues what ? They work just like in the first day .
I'm so happy Nokia did this. This is perfect for any older generation that does not have a need for smartphones. gonna get this for my dad.
I had the 3330 and loved it. was great being able to sit in class and text under the table without looking at the phone.
