What about currency strength. Though the prices variation in both countries is there but when currency conversion rate is taken into consideration i can certainly tell that the difference is minimal and purchasing power of indians have considerably increased.Also here in india people started preferring more features and became more demanding with safety irrespective of the price

India started assembling decades back and also started manufacturing all components for assembling in India and also ancillary which brought down costs heavily. It takes years to establish quality vendor system for components. Secondly our govt keeps reasonable taxes so that cars can be affordable and most importantly automobile industry can thrive and provide employment to millions of skilled and unskilled labor and thousands of qualified engineers. imagine a entire country with clusters of all components and final assembly unit. automation was given importance but that did not take away jobs. it was done ina way to speedify things and yet have formen and supervisors to inspect. ARAI the homologation body well equipped to test and pass vehicles after strict approval tests. AGreed there is a exchange diff between India and pakistani Rupee but given the difference the salaries are more or less same, instead of salaries too being higher in pakistan given the exchange rate difference to be able to buy same type cars and also maintain a life style and bear the cost of living. so even there a Indian buyer stands a better chance to buy cars.
