It's pretty nice to see you guys haven't fallen into the crossover trap. A nice sedan is great for everyone's needs and the drivability is so much better.
Whoever expects Beth to know all the ins & outs (mechanical specs) of her car are C R A Z Y... She seems to care to participate like she likes doing these, it's just she's not seasoned... So I like that Matt was there to help her out 🥰🥰🥰
Don't get a bigger car! Take it from a dad. So many people automatically follow the herd and get an SUV or a minivan when they have their first kid. I just scratch my head and wonder why. How big are these kids? My wife and I have one car--a 2016 Cruze--and it's more than adequate for transporting our 3-year-old on trips near and far. Great review!
Beth is pure gold! I love that she doesn't seem to give a crap about cars which is such a contrast to Matt. This is the best thing since the "Odd Couple". Matt rips off the stats....Beth is like "I like the light show". Awesome!
It's funny because I just watched Beth's review of her previous 2016 C300! Ha..oh and wasn't she supposed to say "What's up everybody subbbrrrrwwrruurruxx fan here!" 😸
Awesome Beth! A seasoned, but comfortable driver, with your own catch phrase "I guess we'll see how we do here, and away we go!". Great video, and your co-host did an okay job (haha).
Amazing smile, Beth. You're a natural. Great cadence and very relatable. You guys are onto something. I think when you go through your list of things aboutbthe car, you should check in with her on each so she can comment on how it translates into her real world experience. She can provide a great perspective a lot of us don't regularly hear.
That's true, unfortunately off-camera sometimes if I ask her what her thoughts on that week's press car are, she usually doesn't have much of an opinion. Maybe for the rare instances when she has a strong opinion I can include her in a short little segment in the driving reviews in the future, we'll see.
Holy crap! That's was awsome. Impressed by everything I saw in this video. Glad that Beth got more time to talk. I'm glad they are getting in the groove of doing joint vids. The banter was great. Keep it up!
Mildly disappointed that Beth didn't the Karatechops when she said "what's up everybody" in her intro. Ooooh good for you Beth on the custom C300 order, very nice. Honestly I am a bit jelly and you did her perfect, yeah you didn't need the AMG power (stock is really good) and excellent size for what you get. Awesome options, congrats! Funny how Beth is trying her best not to say "yeah I really don't care about the power or acceleration" making her hubby a sad boy. Great Beth review as always. More please....
She's interested in electric vehicles but really likes the Mercedes brand and she's familiar with all the controls. Back at the end of 2018 when we ordered the car, the Tesla was missing key features we both wanted, like the cooled seats, heated steering wheel, etc. We would consider the Model Y next year when the lease is up on this, but the styling is a total miss for both of us.
3:10......'I can't tell you how a car will run....."I just don't get it." I thought Beth was going to follow that up with....and sometimes I don't understand Matt either....hahahahahahaha
Yeah I'm one of of those guys who thinks a Mercedes should come in one of two colors, black or silver, but that green is very nice and subtle, I like it!
It's hard to find a quiet compact car, at any price. I wish the C300 was quieter on the freeway. My 3 series is way too loud but it doesn't sound like the C300 is much better.
If a lease works for you that's great. I prefer to have a paid off car. But then you mention that the car can have problems as it ages. In that case go with the lease if this is the car you want.
My thoughts: If you do more reviews together, (i.e. driving in addition to the interior), your channel will skyrocket (sorry Matt). In the past Matt has said that the fleet vehicles don't allow for Beth to drive, though another channel does do husband/wife reviews with alternating driving (Motormouth).....it is Canadian and maybe that is the difference. That car is beautiful....I can't help but wonder if Mercedes will get a premium price for it because it was featured on this channel. I can envision a lot of people wanting that specific one...kind of like a car previously owned by movie stars. You said you might get a GLB next....... the imitation of Matt by Beth on the acceleration is a hoot. I have not seen an Emerald Green Mercedes Benz in Emerald Green on the road. Must not be common. Agree with Beth, that starry sky grille is much better than the regular chiseled grille of the non-AMG model. Only 8,000 miles.....if I were in the market for a car, I would try to buy this one after it is turned in, especially if I could buy an extended warranty from Mercedes. I think Beth will miss this vehicle, notwithstanding the family friendly advantages of the GLB that you are considering/planning for. I noticed the license plate frame says Rahal.....I wonder if Matt and Beth are treated like rock stars when they bring in the car for service.
I could go through the process of having Beth approved to drive the press cars, but as you see in this video, she doesn't really have much to comment on. This is why sometimes even in the interior reviews she doesn't talk too much, she usually just doesn't have a strong opinion about how most cars drive. I don't think we're popular enough for anyone to want the car because we owned it, but it is a very rare configuration so I'm sure someone will want it badly once the lease is up. Emerald Green is a color Mercedes does for only 1 year, I believe 2019 it was C-Class and GLE, then it vanished again. Rahal does treat us very well when we take it in for service, it's one of the reasons why we're happy to stick with the Mercedes brand for her car. Thanks for the comments Jazz!
@@MattMaranMotoring Yes, however, the two of you together has a magic to it. I realize that the pure care enthusiasts may agree with you and not with me about having Beth on the driving videos.

Snow driving! This desert dweller says "No thank you!". This also includes visiting Flagstaff during the winter. I had to drive in the snow once. Being that I was inexperienced (at that time) driving in snowy/freezing conditions; I decided to take it slow. After all, slow is smooth and smooth is fast. It's nice to get the perspective of just a regular driver who really likes their car. The nod to Matt's 0-60 cracked me up! Well done!
That emerald green color really compliments the highland green if the Benz and the Bullitt were side by side. Hard for me to decide which I like more.
