Where are funds from the sale of your current home typically held while you search for your new home? I’m talking about a large amount of money that exceeds the amount that’s insured by FDIC (i.e., checking or savings account).
Typically they are held in your personal bank account, the title company doesn’t like to hold onto funds after a deal is closed. There may be some alternatives but a personal bank account is most common.
Says people don't file taxes in texas, what do they use for proof of yearly income? A year of paystubs?
Texans pay federal taxes. Your employer should send you a 1099 form showing your total wages.
You use your yearly federal income tax statements. There are no state income taxes in Texas.
How does student loans factor in? I want to use FHA and move there next year. No debt with 747 credit score, looking for 200-300k home
