Edgar Wright is one of the most unique and talented filmmakers working at the moment. His movies are creative, fast-paced coming-of-age stories packed with high doses of fun.
While most people on RUclips like to focus on Wright's visual style, there are also many lessons that writers should take from his screenplays.
I want to analyze some of the elements in Wright's stories to show that these techniques can not only be fun but important to effectively tell dramatic narratives. Today I want to look at how Edgar Wright handles exposition, dialog, and philosophical conflict in his movies and how you can apply these techniques in your own writing.

I have met Edgar twice so far. First time at a Boat Party with Solarstone and Ferry Corsten (I think).
I gave him a random Sparks story on the way to The Gallery Club.
The second time I met him was at his Film Festival of watching his 6 main movies of fiction in a row.
He convinced me that movies are the way forward for me.

@@corean3polar Because Edgar already made peace with Feige for what happened with Ant-Man years ago, and he's actually a big fan of Spider-Man, who the hell doesn't want him to direct Spider-Man? He's the perfect guy for the job! Yeah, Scott Pilgrim is one of his weaker movies. He should not have started making the film until the graphic novel series was finished. 1:08 Oh, God forsake it all! Bryan Lee O'Malley definitely (unintentionally) had something to do with the crap Tumblr sharts out, and the rise of the "CalArts" style(s) that have been taking over animation. There was a period where everyone was drawing their characters in his style. Not to mention that Ramona Flowers is a danger-hair.

Tyler has no references he is a newbie and tries you to sell his own course. It is a making money strategy and you will learn crap from him. It works like a placebo you think you making progress but really you only learn techniques which are not worth to learn and also brings you up from learning your own style of creating new ideas and stories. He only made 1 script, he has not won any Filmfestival/Oscar etc. It is the same for most of the courses. You do not need any paid courses to get good in writing. Do not listen to this bullshit!!!
