Very helpful video. I watched this video and it just filled in a couple key details that had escaped me. One takeaway was that even though it's instructed from a back take, if you change the body configuration around it really presents itself from lots of different positions. Second was how "simple" it is to finish it. So literally a couple nights after watching this video I found myself in Technical Mount. I opened the color, reached under the chin and grabbed it with the other hand. I already had one leg over the torso so it was just a matter of grabbing the pants and then stepping over the shoulder with the other leg. I'm a blue belt and have been training for a little over a year and a half. I often feel like I know a little bit about a lot of things and am overloaded with technique. I have wonderful teachers but it's so helpful to be able to do a little "homework" at night and find instructionals like this to reinforce what I'm learning at the academy. Thank you very much!
Great instructional video, thank you. One little point I would add to this, would be to turn the collar so that the blade of the collar is cutting into the neck and not the flat of the collar. The likeliness of this being much of an effect on the power of the choke is minimal but worth noting I would say.
@@roydean thanks so much Roy! that really means a lot i am sure that one day i will get back at it. it is just so amazing to watch you work, how skilled and precise you are. what an art form! one day i will come see you again and we can have some sessions! for now take care and stay safe thank you so much for replying it really means the world to me Roy!

did anybody else clap when he said "1, 2, 3..?"
Who’s here because they watched Royce do this back in ‘93. Lol
Hi sir , how to escape Khabib's double leg lock >?
Jiu jitsu is infinite
man teaches us how to murder people, gracefully. 😂
Sorry, but is looks like a lot of room under the choking arm. So the opponent can pull his head through that hole and escape the choke.

Grayson, that issue should be fixed with the latest app update. Please drop me a line at contact at roydean.tv and we will get you taken care of.
