Hi Helder, good morning... A great new flight test, safe flights with responsibility that you always do... Thanks for sharing this video! I fly the Bebop 2, Anafi, Disco and other RC planes! Let's go to the next challenge...

Can you please tell me what was the version of VIRB and Flightdata Manger that you used to edit this video? Thank you!
@ Thanks for your nice words! FlightData Manager is the last version and the Garmin VIRB Edit is the 5.3.0.0

Good video Helder. Thanks for sharing. Parrot is definitely not the best range and connectivity drone but the quality and capability of it's camera make it the best value available I think, especially considering how quiet and small it is. Unfortunately for me, I have to drive miles to not be in a nfz for my dji which is unacceptable. Completely useless to me.
@@williamb3323 Thanks William. It looks pretty promising however, I sold my mavic. The whole time I had it I was always trying to figure out how/where I could fly it, always updating, dealing with app crashes, with features I wanted but that dji wanted more money and hassle to use (way points and fpv among others). They are the most expensive, they should be the easiest. Dji products are not worth the irritation.
Ummmmmm the Parrot Anafi is a great drone for range it’s maximum range I’ve seen mine go 11 thousand something feet, he is having trouble because he is flying in other Wi-Fi bubbles from houses and that is confusing the hell out of the signal.
It might help you to point the controller towards the Anafi for a better wifi connection. I saw on your video you were pointing to the opposite side. I can understand in the sun, it's difficult to see that detail on the controller screen...
Helder - thanks for pushing the limits of the Anafi here to show other users how far they can risk it - it seems FCC mode gives a little more advantage??? Seems Anafi does not like built-up areas with lots of wi-fi and routers present, but performs much better in the countryside and over the water?
Hey Mr Kent!! In European countries they have to fly by CE, which is their version of our FCC. They are allowed a shorter power allotment, of the bandwidth that the drone operates in. Here in the states we are allowed a higher wattage of power behind 2.4ghz. So in turn the range the drone will go before it loses signal is is shorter in his his country
Hey btw Mr Kent, I don’t know if you remember but I reached out to you in regards to help with getting a business off the ground.. Thanks for your inspiration!! Www.texasflytography.com
@@midnitelitecompany Thank you. That helps. I was in broadcasting and amateur radio but never had heard what it was in Europe. Good information. God bless.
mrkentdotcom well about a year ago I was wanting to start a small operation repairing drones. I had two parrot bebops. Since, I have gotten into modifying, and do the Flytography on the side. I was supposed to email you me electronics background and never got around to it, so no surprise you don’t remember lol.. I failed to email my information. Nonetheless, thank you and HelderHugo, lots of helpful videos!! Now I just need to get Mavic 2!!
Hi All, After buying an Anafi and doing some testing of range, which was only about 750m to 1 km at best in semi urban area, and then when i went to a mountain range test. Got it out to 3000 metres, before it dropped out. Only got video when it returned to home. So frustrating that it cant pick up video until it got home. Surely Parrot can improve that function
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS COMMENT! haha I just got one and like an idiot flew it close to my buddy's apt which is in a nicer part of town so allot of people had 5g wifi AND my buddy's sister took her drone out too so yeah long story short flew it like 100ft away and as I'm sure you have researched "took a mind of its own" and I panicked "wish I wouldn't have turned off record on takeoff" And it free fell ...thank goodness it survived but I'll take that and your comment as a lesson....anafi is not for the city
Just wonder, if you get better results with a standard mobile. Maybe the tablet is blocking or at least interfering the signals, as it is above the antenna. Second landing would be a hint on that, when you recovered connection by raising the controller...
@@Helderhugo 😂 Nevermind, the Anafi is and always will be more a flying camera than a drone, and zip love it for it...it's what I want and need. And let's be completely honest, I don't know for any country, allowing quads beyond VLOS. True VLOS is not given beyond 100m with a craft the size on Anafi. Still it's interesting, what's possible...😉
I almost lost my anafi in New York I think some tower cut his signal. he turned off the screen and fell into a condominium it took work to find him, and returning home didn't work.
Hi Helder, what drone you happiest with for Range , image stabilisation and overall quality, I wanted something with Zoom so I bought a Parrot Anafi off your videos Are they as good city range vs others I have used your recommendation ie saving passwords wifi and FCC mode and manage in my city to do around 800-1km is that the best you can get with interference, also are the Alientech for Anafi Range extender make much of a difference city droning? By chance
@@Helderhugo sure thanks, if you still have your Anafi is it possible to do one days a Wifi extender test, I trust yours the Alientech claims 4.6KM or more in CITY INTERFERENCE
Man I started out with Parrot drones. I didn’t know what distance was till I got a Mavic. I can gobat least a mile out no matter how bad the wifi is. 🛩💫 Parrot has got to do better, they use to be my favorite drones!
I don't want ta be that arse, but i will ask anyway: you can legally fly over areas like that without any air agency permissions etc? This drone could easily parked or fell in the middle of very condensed road traffic etc, which could lead to many bad scenarios. Please, if you're (probably non attentionally) brake some regulations etc, don't be silly enough to post that on youtube etc. This things are just what all haters and drone protestors wants, so they can ban whole thing or put some heavy restrictions on it. P.S.: i do fly drone and i do have licence. edit: sorry for that, i didn't read starting info till the end, my mistake. but do fly drone responsibly and do know your gear, before you fly over areas like that.
Boas, estou interessado em comprar um Parrot Anafi, embora tenho uma curiosidade, será possível ligar o telemóvel ao comando sem fios, com um dongle Bluetooth por exemplo.
you did not set the anafi into fcc mode. if it would be in fcc, more channels would show up in the connection menu as you can see here: ruclips.net/video/0z33kkyxTzI/видео.html

Mike, If you own any DJI drones that are crippled by their NFZs, google "no limit drones". That is the answer for folks who are in NFZs and can't fly.
