I don't have any guest suggestions, but a good spot for an interview ride would be elliot bay park to Alaskan Way (maybe even all the way down to the ferry terminal once those bike lanes are done). It's very scenic, and also very flat which is probably good for a conversation while riding, and many chunks of it are wide enough to even ride side-by-side (as I could tell you really wanted to do in this one 😂)
Haha great suggestion! 🤣 This was the route I used for our best side cycling meetup rides. It's truly a great one. Yeah, I couldn't really fully hear what Sanders was saying so I was pulling up for an actual conversation but the mics handled it very well here
@@BestSideCycling It's a major chunk of my commute and I definitely think it's one of the nicest routes in the city! The mics definitely did a good job handling the distance between you, but I could see it being hard to hear people over the wind and road noise, especially along Broadway.
@@MrHappyZorro It's super weird because I bike down alaskan along the waterfront every week and the stretch from the aquarium to to Spring has seemed finished for like a full year now but it's still blocked off for some reason? The city keeps saying it will be open this year, but I'll believe it when I see it I guess.

An interesting ride. It's good to get a glimpse of how some of the public input that promotes our groovy bike lanes works. I roll on an electric scooter when I am trying to mix up my commute to Beacon Hill.
I’ve been wondering why the city didn’t implement any bike infrastructure on Madison. I mean, they literally tore up the whole thing up and remade it! I understand the point was to set things up for the Rapid G Line, which I’m so excited for, but was it really not possible to get some bike lanes in there too? I’m largely happy with how much attention and effort is going into making Seattle truly bikeable. This just seems like a wasted opportunity.
I can understand cyclists getting annoyed but what about delivery drivers that have low paid jobs and have a time limit to deliver goods .. The city should be thinking about both not just cyclists.... And then by compromising everyone wins...
