I was never a fan or a follower. My world was too far away from his. But I respected his work and character, his iron will and fearlessness. I’m still in denial about his death. Still seems that they may be hiding him somewhere for who knows what kind of sick plan or torture. Hiding body means hiding the evidence or hiding the person. And no-one can do anything to get justice in that bottomless swamp of corruption, deceit and moral decay. It is not easy to be an openly decent person in modern Russia. Let along a hero. Alexei was a HERO. A man of unparalleled courage, optimism and convictions, a man able to learn and evolve, a man who put everything he had on the line for his vision of the “beautiful Russia of the future”. I hope his legend will live on for thousands of years (just like the legend of Ukrainian resistance should) and inspire new leaders who will change the tide and help save our Earth. I hope his followers will be worthy of his legacy. It is hard to see how the world just carries on after his murder. But it is, of course, most natural as well. The world carries on after any injustice. And the world is not about justice..it is about experiencing itself through all of us. Every second everywhere billions of destinies unfold and for people close to them , each of these stories are the ones that matter the most. And so the history keeps weaving its complex canvas, where each thread is a life that influences the endgame.
On several occasions already I promised myself not to write here about the horrors of the world that affect me and how I battle them. This should be a tranquil place of peace and happy memories. But I’ll make this exception. Once again.
Deepest condolences to Alexei’s family, friends and comrades.
When I am asked why do I care… well, apart from mourning a loss of an outstanding human-being.. I love puzzles and seeing a big picture in little pieces, forest behind trees, a painting through separate brush strokes. We all live under the same sky, on the same planet, where space, resources and our time here are finite. Whether I want to or not, Ukraine and Russia, Israel and Palestine, Iraq and Iran, India and China, Japan and Koreas, USA and Europe, South American countries, Africa, Middle East and Asia… they all influence the world I live in. And more importantly the world my children will live in. I want this world to be as peaceful and as prosperous as possible. Like an utopian fantasy that we all can make a reality. To all dictators of the world with huge ego's and imperial complex to compensate for a total lack in other areas: - wanna colonize and conquer something? Colonize and conquer Solar System. And educate people to be able to do so instead of stupefying them with ridiculous propaganda and denial of basic rights. Mars, Venus, Jupiter and their moons are waiting. That's a proper challenge.
I believe that children are the most precious and most valuable treasures we, people, have. Raising them happy, kind, responsible, free, capable and strong should be a priority. We have but one Earth for now. We should save it. I also believe in a theory of small changes. Change what you can for the better in your own life. No matter how small, no effort is in vain. Be kind. But NO pushover. Be stable and strong. I often think whether this world is a simulation of sorts... but if it is, let’s play this game and try to see the big picture. Protect and hone what matters most to you personally. “Don’t give up. All that is needed for evil to triumph is the inaction of good people.” Baby steps are better than stagnation. Study, learn, be better..and avoid degradation. Alexei, a hero, became a legend. And legends live forever.
