That interview was very mesmerising! I’m healed now and all those points resonated with me incredibly. We need to spread the word about recovery so people can actually look at the research around brain retraining and find hope. So smart you mentioned how people disregard Brain Retraining after been gaslighted by MDs as anxious and referred to psychiatrists. It’s not the same! Many many thanks to both o you🙏 ❤

Thank you Liz and Phil for this great Interview, so many helpful insights. The only thing I did not understand is how Phil on the one hand says you can not go from being doing very little to doing a lot because there is actually something wrong with your physiology, when talking about GET and Pacing, but then shares recovery stories where people would go from being in a wheelchair to walking around in the city for hours within a day ?

So excited to watch this - as the Lightning Process was my introduction to neuroplasticity work in 2014 and changed my life! Thank you Liz, for spreading the word, and thank you Phil, you're one of my heroes! 🤩🥳

Such a good introduction to brain/nervous system retraining! I especially appreciated the reminder that a healthy nervous system has a more appropriate response to infection. Since I had a viral "onset" (i.e., "last straw") the idea of being sick is pretty triggering, but between common sense precautions and nervous system retraining I am able to do more activities with less stress and fewer symptoms. I'm so relieved to have found something that is taking me in the right direction, and I thank you both for spreading the word on this approach and also for directly addressing some of the criticisms.

Thanks Liz. This was a great interview. I would love to have heard a little more about autoimmune as I hear it’s mind body by some and not by others. Of course my brain hangs onto the “it’s not mind body” but deep in my heart I know it is! Toni 😂❤

Why do some people go from being in a wheelchair to walking all over town so soon and others take months or longer??

LIZ YOU ASKED A GREAT QUESTION THAT I DID NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND THE ANSWER TO. MANY TIMES I AM TOTALLY SUPRIZED WHEN I HAVE A CRASH , AFTER BELIEVING THE ACTIVITY I DID WAS IN MY ABILITY ZONE. SO MY MINDSET WAS NOT THE CAUSE OF THE CRASH. WHAT IS BRAIN RETRAINING AND HOW IS IT DIFFERENT THAN MY GOOD EXPECTATIONS AND BELIEFS ABOUT MY HEALTH?? THAT DONT ALWAYS HELP... OR MAY EVEN BE COUSING MORE CRASHES??

I've done the lightning process 3 times and each time I've started to do more and I've always totally crashed after a week or two, it's like it gets you to live in Andrenaline and my body gives way after a while, I tried to ask for help but they won't give me any

@@liam.4454 Sadly, a friend of mine did the LP twice, and was "cured", and sadly this did not last. She got no help either and was told to "DO THE PROCESS!!!. She is no longer with us. (passed 2014 from Severe ME after 20 years).

Are you sure you did it three times? That seems very unlikely if it didn’t work and made you crash.
You would still be having follow ups with your practitioner for weeks and months after the training.
You do know the LP doesn’t ‘work’ - it’s a training. It’s a skill you apply with the ongoing help of your practitioner for months after the training.
People in my family have completely healed by applying this training. The practitioners were extremely supportive in the follow up.

Thanks for your feedback. In the low cost independent programs guide (which includes review of 27 Lifestyle, Pacing, Brain Retraining, Somatics, and Self-Discovery Programs for ME/CFS recovery) I made with Lindsay Vine, we interviewed dozens of people speaking to them each for 20 minutes to an hour about their lives, the programs they did, and got really in depth feedback and powerful insights. We found them through various recovery forums, brain retraining forums, and open calls for feedback. Note: For full transparency the one place I did not recruit is activist organization groups, as I left these when I was attacked for simply sharing my story (I wasn't offering any services or program myself). Lindsay and I also both continuously get messages from people, speak to people, and factor in first-hand accounts people make anywhere we see them regardless of the forum, and then we produce a thoughtful analysis of each program. There was no program that worked for everyone. The Lightning Process has been a game-changer for many people, but very often (like with many programs) we saw people who had significant improvement, but there were other pieces of the puzzle for them (ie like somatics etc. or lifestyle focus or group accountability). There also were people who didn't have a good experience or who it didn't come at the right time. And we clearly state who each program is for and who it isn't for in our low-cost programs guide (not to be seen as fact or medical advice) and things to keep in mind in addition with their prices and any add-ons, free, or low-cost materials they may offer.
As someone who spent over a hundred thousand on supplements, functional doctors who charged me 600 for an hour, hundreds more to sit in a room with an IV, a 225 an hour psych who didn't take insurance an experience that made me feel worse, the naturopath and functional doctor that got kickbacks for white label supplements that had almost no research, my mission in these past few years has been to save people time and money.
There are some out-of-the-box programs that do provide money back guarantees, which we state in the guide. However, you're just another line in a database. With the LP, it's someone's time working directly with you. None of my doctors that didn't help nor the ER's that didn't help (twice I had to escape from ERs) gave me my money back for no help. I really really want people to chose what's best for them. I have close Instagram friends who brain retraining wasn't even a thing for and others who it was the thing. We really try to empower people with the best thing for them to support their healing. Sorry this was long, I really care, and want to validate everyone's experience, and give them hope, knowing that we are all unique.

hi there, thanks for your reply.
I'm a bit jaded on certain treatments hahah, especially the ones which cost $1000's to do with no guarantee, just rev's me up since I have seen so many burned by them. They just take the $$. these programes are the ones to weary of. But as you say, some are helped by them.
It is a mine field when you have CFS, so I only do programes that have a guarantee or are free, after all if they work, they shouldnt have any issues with doing this. They should stand by their product right.
I have used the gupta program which helped me out years ago, has a guarantee, they stand by there product, as do a few others.
I have just found you on youtube so will watch some of your vids, I think its great that you are doing this. A sharing of information is what is needed.
CFS , chronic pain, long covid etc are definately to do with the brain, a hijacked amygdalla shall we say:)

@@HealwithLiz Good points, well said. It is important to keep things in perspective. In my own case, the money I spent on doctors, psychologists and other practitioners whose treatments didn't help or made me sicker, was not refunded. The Lightning Process was worth every cent and gave me back a hundred fold compared to the 20 years previous of things I had undertaken to regain my health!

Great reply Liz ❤️ I personally spent money on a program that did not help me BUT I don’t regret it, it was the first step in my journey and I later added and built so much on top of what was in the program and modified it to suit me. It’s so easy to just do what a program tells you and then judge it as it worked or didn’t work. But the reality is more complex and nuanced. Often we require additional info or to change the approach, but it doesn’t mean the info is bad. I hear this story from so many people who were later successful in the retraining journey. I appreciate the work you’re doing here!! ❤️

In another browser it's now showing zero. I wonder if there is a spam bot trying to hit my channel, because RUclips will raise a flag for this. This happened a long time ago with my Dr. Cat interview for some reason and I think I remember another one. It was crazy high and then went to 0. But then eventually it seemed like the algorithms figured out what was spam, so it was accurate again. Not sure why I'm showing 8 in my analytics, 0 in another browser, and you're seeing 423.
