@@Mike_Jones68 Basically I wanted more blade surface on the ice for more output from each stride. My pro-shop technician gave me an all-round profile which suits me very well. I had a warranty…if I wasn’t satisfied I could have another profile for free. You can ask the same pal! 😉 Marc, Quebec
I want to come to your shop to get some True custom skates and have you profile the skates they are perfect. Are you really located in Ottawa ? Thats quite a hike for me.
Hey, question for yah. Are some blades softer than others? I have really nice Bauer skates but the edges only last about 3 games (just beer league) before I'm sliding sideways. I'm a big guy, 230 lbs. My older skates lasted more like 8-9 games between sharpening. Sup with that? Anything I can do about it? I've changed from 1/2 to 7/16" groove (I think that's right), and it seems a bit better, but still only 3 games.
What do you think of taller steel? I have been skating on a 9’ for several years with LS2 steel and don’t feel like changing. Tall steel like LS3 feels like being on stilts and less agile than the taller steel. Can you Do a straight 9’ profile?
I personally like taller steel because it gives a better ability to gain a higher attack angle in corners. We carry Byonic Blades, as not everyone wants the taller steel, like you, and that’s fine. Yes, we can do straight 9’ profiles
I am working for a shop that has a similar FG machine. I am looking for support from MDF on contour profiles and other equipment. Do you have a contact that you will share with me? Thanks, Greg

I’ve been using 10 ft contour which is what it came with. Would changing to 9.5 - 10.5 be noticeable. I play centre. Thanks in advance.👍🇨🇦
