Honstely i don't get why you came so prepared to these fights if even in your words, adventures, are one of the most enjoyable moments u had on hs. So y not discover whats the challenge all about this time and put yourself to the test, it will make for a more interesting and diverse video don't you think?

Fair enought, yet i don't see why posting the less inteesting content then, it's not like it will make for a great show or at least a better one if he was to post an actual reaction to remembering wow lore and trying to go throught the deckbuilding challenge and if the video was too long well, cut it, not like someone who has done youtube for years couldn't do... Anywho, just my 2 cents, i enjoy kripp content thus i thought he could have made it more interesting, cheers.
His first run was as boring as this one, he just played big druid against all of them and struggled to win with it. Kinda sad he didn't build decks to counter them, just playing regular decks that you go in ranked with seems so boring to me.
I mean... The bosses were so damn easy there was hardly any challange, even on first runs. I just picked one of my ladder decks at random and beat all the three bosses without any real trouble or prior knowledge.

I feel you Kripp.
My PvE career in WoW was before Cataclysm, afterwards, because of lack of time and actual interest in high level PvE races (yeah I was one of those raiders hunting for realm/world firsts), I became a casual player and is still it right now in legion - occasionally going in battlegrounds to kick some noob butt (I did quite a lot of high level pvp too back then and I still defend myself quite well).
The fact is, I've cleared all the raids since Vanilla up to now (even I have yet to even finish Nighthold or start the Tomb), but since I've only been really hardcore between AQ40 and ICC, those are the only raids for which I still remember the exacts tactics. Even more recent stuff like Hellfire Citadel I forgot.
But man. When I started doing that adventure mode. Nostalgia hit really fucking hard. The menu music. Pit of Saron/Lower ICC. Just that got me back.
Then the prologue. I felt like I did when I was leading pick-up groups in the week to clear several ICC bosses. That AFKay girl with the artwork of a raid wiping in the background on Sindragosa ? Hit me right in the feels. How many fucking times I've kicked an idiot who had pulled that drake ? Tact was to kill the smaller drakes for (Rimefang and I forgot the other), and as soon as the other went down, pull back into the previous room to prevent the boss from engaging us right away. Buffing people, feasts and such.
Yet even with that, there always was that fool who didn't know/had forgotten/was impatient that triggered the proximity pull.
When people were afk like that card. Hearing Tirion talk reminded me of me leading pick up groups in there ...
Then came the first wing. I wondered how they'd translate the boss mechanics in the game. It was basically standard tank and spank - the two main things to keep in mind were to get out of the flames and killing the bone spikes that had impaled the players asap because otherwise it would kill him. Seeing that translated so well in the encounter, and Marrowgar being so faithful to his original speech (with a bit more humor though this time) ...
Deathwhisper (don't know why they didn't put her second instead of Saurfang though). When you meet her in ICC, she's being worshiped by her cult, and the fight revolves around her cultists. There are a few different types : those that resist magic damage, those that resist physical damage, those that are timed bombs. Meanwhile you must get her mana shield down (it's essentially an extension of her life bar), while she dishes out damage and aoe and mind controls on a regular basis.
Here, they showed her another likely way we could have found her. They merged her encounter with the Dreamwalker one.
In the Dreamwalker one, you basically have to hold off endless waves of enemies while the healers work on restoring the green dragon to full health. If she dies it's a wipe. If she reaches full health, she wipes the enemy mobs. When you get to her, they are attempting to turn her into an undead drake. Which Deathwhisper could have been overseeing if we had entered the place at a different time. I mean, that just makes sense. Deathwhisper is the Lich King's second when it comes to the cult of the damned, so it would be her job to "enlist" new recruits.
Once again, the fight didn't disappoint, you get those two fights as one, and it's great.
Saurfang was a tank and spank basically, and it also is well represented here, with the blood puddles and all ... he wasn't restricted to taking physical damage only though in WoW. But it's true that usually it was the casters of the party that handled the adds, while the melee dps were dishing out as much damage as they could on him.
Sindragosa and the ice blocks. Players were regularly targeted to become imprisoned in ice. If nobody fucked up, there would only be four ice blocks when she was done. You had to dps all but one - because you needed to hide behind one to avoid the lethal damage from her air strike.
Blood Queen and her bite ... I was playing mage back then and I was always second to be bitten. This fight was a dps race. Among the many mechanics of the fight, there was the main thing : biting. The queen bit a player, who then enjoyed higher dps for the remainder of the fight. But the drawback was that he had to bite another non-bitten player after about a minute. And so forth. That boss had a tight enrage timer, and if that timer wasn't the end of you, it meant some one had fucked up with the bites. You see, if you didn't bite a player after a minute, you became mind controlled by the boss, killing your fellow raid members until put down and if you were deemed important enough, revived. The biting system with the hero power, forcing you to bite each turn, reminded me how it was to fail at 2-3% on her ^^
And then Putricide ... they didn't follow the original tactic here, but kept the flavor in - he drank a lot of random potions from his stall during the fight, and threw some at players, while ooze was regularly pouring out from pipes. The secrets thing, as a boss and as card, is just well thought.
If lich king is even remotely as hard as he was, or even close to the fight i've known and loved ... we're gonna enjoy a hell of a fight in the next days.
Can't wait.
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. I still play vanilla/TBC/WoTLK servers and they're 1000x more fun than the current expansion.
I don't know. I gave a shot to private servers back in the void of content of WoD.
It just isn't the same.
And I think Legion is awesome. Like my past experiences. But in the present.
And somehow fresh and entertaining. It has everything right.
Yet for some reason I can't bring myself to play it much these days. Even in this summer, I had plenty of time I didn't play it. And there's so much stuff I want to do in there ...
Like the class quest lines on my alts. The tomb. The PvP brawls ... and my personal favorite, mythic keystones. I find these so fucking awesome to do.
But when I think how awesome it is, I wonder why I don't play it much ... and have no answer. It's awesome though. But perhaps my WoW days are just behind me ^^ Maybe I just grew past playing it, who knows.
I sort of experienced the same thing with Legion for a while, and I figured out what it is. Legion is full of shiny things and it's fun for the first 50 or 60 hours but because everything is so homogenized and nerfed and it all feels kind of soulless with the community basically evaporated, you find yourself not playing even though it seems like you'd want to. It's just not the game it once was. Private servers are an investment to get into, but once you realize how much better the community is and the gameplay is you'd have a blast. It is a time investment though so it's reasonable if you don't want to go down that path, shiny Legion is easier to pick up and play even though it's so shallow.
I have my friends on live. My roleplaying guild. My old game companions. My old arena partner.
I mean, I don't even care about the community as a whole when it comes to my enjoyement of wow at this point. I just stay to enjoy the awesome content (how many times have I ran Legion Karazhan ?) with them. Because it's still as good to me as it was before. And as a casual I don't even care much about homogenization and nerfs because I don't play enough any more for it to have any impact. I am here for the fun in my guild, and the on-point blizzard storytelling. But even then when I want to play a great storyline these days I prefer leveling yet another Imperial Agent on SWTOR than playing the awesome class content in wow. Content that I am dying to play through by the way but ... somehow can't bring myself to try.
Legion reignited the hardcore raider flame in me when it came out. I was realm first for two whole months when it came to keystones, ilvl ... I was playing the new class, having the blast of my life with my old arena pal with which we ran about twice as more keystones in that time frame than the second player on my realm on wowprogress. We were just digging it. I was sick, couldn't work for 3 months. He put his holidays there to play with me - we literally tore through everything in our path.
And these memories that are about a year old now, are with my wotlk, bc, vanilla memories of having fun. That tells how much I enjoyed it. But then you could argue, so did I enjoy WoD until I hit 100 and realized there was nothing left to do. But Legion kept me busy.
My guess is that I overdosed. Like I said i've been sick three months - I literally played three months, fancying myself about 8-9 years ago, when I was able to play at this level. But I ain't the same guy I was then. I think I just played too much and I am recoiling from that.
As for private servers I invested time in some vanilla, bc, TLK, heck even MoP servers.
But it just tells me - yeah it's good, but it's the past. You can't relive the past. It was great then, this server is great, but you need to move on. And that's coming from someone who, when cataclysm 4.2 hit spend a whole year playing on a TLK server. Because I hated what that xpac was doing to that game I loved.
So I was back at it. Not even a year after my last lvl 80 clear of ICC 25 HC, I was back in the fray, farming 3D Sarthas, Immortal runs in Naxx, Hard mode Ulduars, and leading even more noob pick-up groups into ICC or ToC. Hell, on private I even dared making (and succeeding) at making a pick up group for 50 tries ToC HC, and no guardians YS.
It's good as I said, but just ... not as good to me as the real thing. I guess there's a time for everything.
No xpac can rule forever my friend :)
Vanilla, TBC and WoTLK will always rule for me, even a decade later I still get far more enjoyment out of them than the direction WoW has taken nowadays, and that's even considering the good fun I got out of legion for a month or two. But hey, everyone is different and the wildly different game experiences will appeal to people on different levels, the main thing is finding what's the best and most fun for you, and I've definitely found mine thanks to glorious private servers :)

One interesting thing about the blood queen encounter is that if you change your hero power she will always top deck her bite card. Though since it basically does nothing it can be a good tactic to run cards that change your hero power.

I doubt anything. It more than likely works the same way it did for the wicked witch in karazhan. Once she got to eight mana she would always draw twisting nether. It wouldn't matter how many she had drawn before since they would just spawn on top of her deck.
It's added to her hand instead of drawing a card that turn, so it looks like she's topdecking it. The "remaining cards in deck" count doesn't even change.
Same thing happened with the Witch's Twisting Nethers, or that Magma Rager on the KFT Prologue.
Really looking forward to the lich king fight. The valkyr and the defile, the netherworld with the barrage of ghosts. I'm expecting pure awesomeness. And if it doesn't live up to it ... I'll be complaining about it from my comfortable armchair.

beat lanathel the first try on turn 5 by playing egg druid with garrison commander lol. one of the most underpowered adventure bosses of all time. the other two were pretty easy too, putricide took me a while because i had to wait 6 or 7 turns to draw removal for rotface, but i still got him the first time playing a hunter deck. then with sindragosa i lost the first attempt because i didn't know the mechanic and got my board full with ice blocks. but once i looked it up the fight was trivially easy with inner fire priest. hoping the lich king presents more of a challenge since there's no heroic mode. in terms of difficulty i felt it was really easy, but at least i didn't have to pay for it. other than difficulty, i enjoyed the creativity of the mechanics for sindragosa and putricide. blood queen lanathel was not just way too easy but also felt uninteresting and i didn't really understand the theme of her mechanics. it seemed like the whole point of the fight was to see if anyone would fuck up and try to use the hero power on lanathel's 0/10s? she never buffed them or did anything with them the entire fight, and they had no card text. if there was some kind of unique mechanic involving them, maybe it was just lost on me because she only had 4 turns.

WoW came out in 2004, Putricide came out together with Icecrown in 2010. I don't know if he was a thing in Warcraft lore previously, but as Futurama started in 1999 i think it is safe to say that your assumption is correct.

Do the four horsemen work against Mal'Ganis? And what happens if you have the four horsemen but not the paladin hero card? (e.g. priest using Cabal shadowpriest) Also, do cards like faceless manipulator work or do the horsemen have to be different?
{error: loading} they have to be different ones. Having the same one copied doesn't work. Coz having, e.g. 4x the same minion is not the same as having all 4...
What happens if you don't have ebon uther in play but you stole the 4 different horsemen? What if Mal'Ganis is in play?

It's about as pay to win as it's ever been and Jade Druid is in full swing, but the meta is slow and is pretty fun right now.
As much as Kripp still praises Jade Druid's power it's much more bearable than it was in Ungoro.
There is a card called Ultimate Infestation that was released with this expansion.
Druid: 10 Mana, Deal 5 Damage, Draw 5 Cards and summon a 5/5 Ghoul.
So, Jade Druid is the Deck right now if you want to hit legend.
But it's not fun to play or to play against. So everybody is like: Blizzard Why NotLikeThis.. ;-;
Elitist control jerks complained a lot about aggro when it was easy for anyone to make a good competitive deck, now they got what they deserved lol.
Kara was easy in Hearthstone because it was easy during TBC
LUL that seemed so easy. I was to stupid for Putricide until I found a suitable deck, lanathel was ez and I basically OTKed Sindragosa from 22 HP lul
