- रेल के इंजन की खिड़की से बाहर हरी झंडी दिखाते हुए जब एक महिला रेल चलाती है तो देखने वाले अक्सर हैरान हो जाते हैं. माथे पर लाल बिंदी, भरी हुई मांग और हाथ में लाल चूड़ी पहने हुए एक महिला रेल में सवार हज़ारों यात्रियों को सुरक्षित गंतव्य पर पहुंचाने की जिम्मेदारी उठाती है. आपने अमूमन पुरुषों को ही रेल चलाते हुए देखा होगा. लेकिन, मालगाड़ी और पैसेंजर रेल चलाने वाली उत्तर पश्चिम रेलवे की सीनियर असिस्टेंट लोको पायलट नीलम राथल की कहानी देखिए.

मेरा बचपन से सपना था लोकोपायलत बनने का पर अफसोस मैं गलत लोगो के साथ अपना कीमती समय बर्बाद कर दिया। आज सोचकर आंख से आसू निकल आता है,पर और भी लोकोपायलाटो को देखकर शुंकुन मिलता है की चलो मैं नही तो मेरे और भाई,बहन तो लोकोपायलट जॉब कर रहे है।

It's good to see women are being given the opportunity as Loco Pilot. Being a railway staff, i feel happy about it.
No one is giving them opportunity but they are capable to do it like males..
@@Old__boy.. ask them to do night shifts also. I highly doubt if any of them do. Most of them fight among each other for general shift duties. And i also highly doubt that these ladies would run long distance trains.
@@Dave_en kindly consider they have to take care of their young ones and daily household work....
@@Old__boy.. So what? we also have family to look after. Many a times we are not granted leave when our family or child needs medical attention. Working conditions must be same for all.
Due to odd hour duties many of our staffs have developed high BP and diabetes. They have been medically decategorized. Some even died due to diabetes getting out of control. Lady staffs never face this situation.
Wife of male employees are highly dissatisfied with the work culture of railways. Male employees are not even spared on gazetted holidays but ladies are given leave to celebrate festivals. This gender bias must be stopped. Those who produce babies must hire aaya or avail creche facilities which comes at a cost they must bear.

I am working in a private manufacturing sector and there is no work life balance... I am have to tackle great pressure on daily basis...
And on the other hand have two babies.. And my wife remains busy in raising them.....
Although she has a master's degree in chemistry but she is unable to work for a earning... The only fact is that life is hard for both males and females..

As an assistant loco pilot I understand how many difficulties comes in this job specially for female,you have to be alert and focused all the time during running the loco whether it's day or night, summer or winter.its very challenging job with lots of responsibility.salute to this lady LP for her courage 🙏

@@pardeepkumar4050 The train often gets late due to encroachments around railway tracks. At times,the speed of the train needs to be restricted.. Moreover, people often cross the railway tracks which they are NOT supposed to do.

@@pardeepkumar4050 Hum log signal ke according train chalate hai n ki apne marzi se aur signal dene ka kaam station master ke hath me hota hai, we follow the signal for safety of passenger and safe running of train.
I also know all these difficulties as a wife of loco pilot but I feel proud on my husband Alhamdulillah

@@VvkSingh44 Bhai, watsapp me tere ko apna competency card ki photo bhej sakta hu. Humare department me har ek ke paas train ki competency hoti hai. Loco pilot ka exam humare level se neeche hota hai. 3 maheene taiyari karoge toh exam clear ho jayega.

Woman loco pilots is a common sight in metro trains ..but now they are making their presence felt in the Indian Railways too ..
