I wish all niam hlob would act like this. Instead, we have some that are jealous and want to compete with the younger nyab. They are only nice to their favorite people, and they treat you like an outcast. You are one lucky sister. Cherish your niam hlob till the end. 🙏

Nice story. Wish I had a mentor when I was young too. Instead I had to endured and walked around eggshells to keep the peace.

Damn sister your stepmother is wicked and a witch. You jumped from hell into the fire but thank God your boyfriend/husband cared about you and he was willingly to help saved you. You started off for the wrong reason but being you've been dating and boyfriend/girlfriend for a while. You married into a good family. Helped saved you and give you a united front and love. Just goes to show that there are still good people out there.

I wouldnt say “that life where nobody loved u” your dad held it down when your step mom tried stuff, i heard alot of stories where the dad would just not do anything and choose the new wife over their kids from the previous marriage. But im glad lofe worked out good for u!!!

As an orphan myself, I feel that in America the repeated greatest mistakes is rushing into a marriage just to get out of the unloved of a stepmother or stepfather. Lady, in America when you graduated from high school as you did, the greatest opportunity is moving to live and study in college. You didn't have to get married just to get out of the unloved home. As school graduates and 18 years old, you are adult could move out of the house easily especially going to college. You didn't know anything about married life and nothing ever to clean your own first apartment. Why moving from one unloved situation into a forced wife and mother? Why not discovering your talents and self worth in college? Without this kind niam hlob, you would face tough challenges of becoming quick wife and mother from a very unprepared childhood. You praise this niam hlob, which is good. But you lost the opportunity to be the greatest person you can be by getting college education and good career. By forcing your husband to marry, you also stopped his chances to go college as he planned.
