I would have to agree partially! I would say that Thall and Argent are the future of metal! And not to mention the 2 go perfectly together on a playlist!!
This needs a 'no-one was harmed in the making of this song' disclaimer lol. The fuck. Insane bro. Original vibes in thall are rare but this is it man, really filthy and evil man, straightup hellish stuff. Great sounds and mix. I'm obsessed with it
This song needs to be prefaced by "No humans were harmed in the making of this song," because with the whaling and screeching of the guitar on this actually unnerves me.
Vildhjarta is my favorite band of all time and thall is my favorite style of metal, I haven’t found many bands in the “genre” that I like quite as much as Vildhjarta and HLB, but this is def up there with the best thall I ever heard. I’m buying the single right now, and I need more of it. Keep up the great work, thall!!!
I could legit listen to a whole album of that ending riff and things similary. Outstanding storytelling hidden within the music. I cannot wait to here more from this band
"Another incident features his fiery little mare Lisette, who has a habit of attacking people she does not like, and whom only Marbot can handle. During the battle of Eylau, Marbot is sent on a suicide mission to reach a regiment that was encircled by Cossacks with orders for it to retreat. To save themselves proves impossible, and the officer in charge asks Marbot to bring their imperial eagle back to the emperor. Half-stunned by the aforesaid cannonball, Marbot and Lisette are surrounded by Russians, one of whom plunges a bayonet into her thigh. “Her ferocity restored by the pain, she sprang at the Russian and at one mouthful tore off his nose and all the skin of his face, making of him a living deaths head, dripping with blood.” Kicking and biting, Lisette knocks over everyone in her path. A Russian officer, who has wounded Marbot in the arm and who attempts to hold Lisette’s bridle, pays the price: The horse “seized him by his belly, and carrying him off with ease, bore him out of the crush to the foot of the hillock, where having torn out his entrails and mashed his body under her feet, she leaves him dying in the snow.” In a final burst, she brings Marbot back to the cemetery of Eylau, where both collapse with exhaustion. Here Marbot is assumed dead and stripped of his clothes, until spotted by a valet of Marshal Augereau. In turn, he is reunited with his faithful mare."
This is straight up a horror movie in metal form. Hopeless, terrifying, and bleak. This and Contraste are some of the best thall I've heard second only to the grandpappies themselves. Well done!! :)
Dude, this is absolute madness. I was already in love with that intro, but then I got around the first minute and instantly loved it even more. Truly some amazing work!
RRRRAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH THE ALGORHYTHM HAS BLESSED ME edit: aight the ending brought me to tears... u just achieved something no other thall band has done and im here since the early beginning... jesus fucking christ GOOD WORK.
Wow, this is awesome! It's like a perfect blend of Fractalize and Altarage. As someone who loves Vildhjarta and Reflections, I must say this is really unique and impressive!
I've listened to every single thall tagged release on bandcamp, and your three songs are by far the best and most distinctive non-vildhjarta thall I've heard. Thank you for making incredible music, Mirar.
I don't think a track has ever given me chills before (aside from the first time I heard the breakdown on Godkiller) but Jesus this pulled it off. Amazing track and instant subscribe.
im a massive fan of vildhjarta, HLB, catsclaw etc. And i gotta say this is fantastic, honestly better than a lot of songs from those bands. You gotta make a full album of this
2:20 its like im hearing a guitar sing about death, despair, futility, and acceptance. This song is towering and menacing. It's violent and intense, but in a way that is beautiful beyond measure.
Growing up playing guitar you always hear boomers say shit like "That boy makes the guitar sing, man!" and theyll be talking about fucking Stevie Ray Vaughn or something. This is the first time Ive ever actually heard someone make the guitar SING. This shit is so sick man. Cant wait to check out the rest of your stuff.
I've been listening to metal of all kinds, and Deathstep, as well as Minatory for the past 8 years, and I'm just now finding out this shit exist. Where the fuck have I been bro
A little but not really a surprise to find someone who listens to deathstep/minatory in this area of music. Hi :)) this kind of music also changed my life lol
@@nothng7853it's even rarer I think to find people who listen to minatory/deathstep. I've only ever met one person in my whole life that I could sit and actually jam out with, and if it wasn't for me, he wouldn't have ever known that deathstep existed. Now he has practically shunned metal itself because it's not as expensive, whereas I keep coming back to metal because I love the real instruments more than their electronic counterparts.
Keep coming back to this song. I feel like this is a vibe i've never experienced before. That part @ 2:20 is something else. Super catchy and makes me feel like hopeless & sad, but also optimistic and happy. Idk it's weird and I want to understand it better.
Shit's so heavy, it's got its own gravitational field

I recommend you look up how gravity works.

@@dualityofreality1240Guys don't be stupid. Thall isn't the future anymore. It's already happening. Surely this isn't it's final form yet.
Technical deathcore too, just not the mainstream stuff
I second this
for me it's rather melancholic, not terrifying

2:20 because it can’t be pointed out enough how hauntingly beautiful this section is.
Top tier thall, the part where the guitars are crying is my favorite ( 2:20 )
Thats how you know its quality and real thall
@@nothng7853 yes indeed
currently trying not to cry during that
For some reason I feel like this is what murdering a mermaid would sound like
how to make this sound outside from bending and sliding?
This project to me captures what thall is supposed to be. Reality crashing like waves as it pulls away and then pummels back into you.
the riffs starting at 0:50 is so underappreciated, sounds like a swarm of hornets
my favorite part

It imitates the squealing of a horse (high pitched whinny) when fighting...

Storytelling is a great way to describe it! I always wanted a word to paraphrase this kind of riff, thank man
besides the creators of thall themselves, this is the most promising thall project I've heard since Indistinct!

I guess we'll never know
it's from an article called fightin' and writin' by henrik bering which refers to marbot's memoirs
This is a masterpiece.
1:32 is probably the heaviest breakdown I've ever heard
