    Suppose you're God. What do you ... do? Can you get bored? If so, do you "distribute" yourself into what then becomes the universe(s)? Do you slowly become aware again, as you evolve with your creations and experience ... all that is ... through it and them? Do you relish "good" and "evil" equally? Do you banish your memories at the end of things ... and start all over again?

    The old problem of the churches: How personal should a God be? If it is too personal, then everyone has their own personalised God and no longer needs a church.
    If he is too impersonal, then everything can be imagined under this God, nature, the earth, the universe. Even then, there is no need for a church. So the churches seek the appropriate middle ground for maximum control over the human being.

    Pantheism brings one to certainty about God which traditional theism can't do and only using 2 premises while dropping uncertainties. The 2 premises are: you exist and you are intelligent. Everything that exists must have a primary cause except the primary cause because a primary cause can not come from nothing. Both atheist and pantheist agree that our primary cause is the universe. Is there anything that created the universe? That is the uncertainty that pantheists drop. We have no evidence that anything created the universe therefore the universe itself must be the primary cause.
    You are intelligent therefore your primary cause must be intelligent too at least to some extent because we know from observing existence that all intelligent things come from intelligent things. There is not a single instance in nature where an intelligent thing came from a non-intelligent unliving thing.
    So all we can say with certainty is that our primary source exists and is intelligent.
    There is no objective verifiable evidence that this primary source verbally communicated with anyone so all the fancy things that theologians say about God are just speculation. We call this primary source God. Is God omnicient or omnipotent? We don't know.
    As you are mind and matter our primary source has mind and matter. Could you accept that you a being with mind originated from a mindless universe?

    Referring to "God" as a person or with a gender reference points out to "belief" rather than "knowing". If the basis of knowledge is not an enterprise of knowing or knowledge itself but belief, then we start running into problems on the philosophical and logical levels and obviously beyond.

    • @abelincoln8885
      @abelincoln8885 2 года назад

      Faith is simply a firm "belief" in something or someone is true & real ... with or without evidence(knowledge) to support the belief.
      There is no problem here. Christianity is a religion that clearly "believes" in a personal God ... with or without evidence. God either exist or he doesn't. Move on.
      The real problem is the sciences being dominated by various cults of Atheism, Humanism and naturalism and controlling and manipulating the flow of knowledge to ordinary people ... who may be considering a belief in God. And because most are educated and have a great respect for the sciences & technology ... one's Faith commonly be derived from actual evidence.
      The laws of Thermodynamics & the expanding Universe data clearly shows the Universe is a ... FINITE Isolated Thermodynamic System that began & is expanding in ... an INFINITE Open system (Surroundings) that must provide the matter, energy, space, time & Laws of physics for the Universe. The Data clearly shows Earth is at the center of the expanding Universe. But most in the sciences believe the Universe has a NATURAL origin 14 billion years ago, even though there is no evidence of this, ... and all claim the Universe is INFINITE in size which means any point in the Universe can APPEAR to be the center. See the problem? Look at the increase in Evolution Theists ... who do not believe in a 6 day Creation ... but a Creation over billions of years.
      We know Christianity is a religion.
      Most don't realize Humanism & Atheism is also religions and use pseudo science to disguise their "religious" beliefs.

      @@abelincoln8885 What you said reminds me of Eric Dubay and what he believes to be true. Which is that the earth is FLAT and not a globe. I don't know whether he is right or wrong. But his RUclips channel certainly is interesting. There definitely is a God - A sentient intelligence that is the source of all that exists. Not just the source of all that exists but everything that exists is IT.
      It makes sense to me that the universe is not infinite, but I am sure that all of reality is infinite in size because God is infinite in size. And everything that exists is God. Universes are born and universes die. They expand and then when the energies driving their expansion dissipate they will contract and implode. It is a cycle. We souls/spirits never die. We live forever. It's all designed and manifested by the non-individuated ultimate reality called God.
      We are microcosmic expressions of this macrocosmic intelligence. Hence made in the image and likeness of God. The ego is not made in the image and likeness though. That's just a tool we use to experience separation so that we can then eventually experience The Unified Self, The Oneness, Samadhi, the Big Self, the non-local Self, God, The One Soul, The Spirit. Many names for the one presence and power expressing Itself as everything that exists.

      The Laws of Thermodynamics & the expanding Universe data .... clearly supports God creating the Heaven & the Earth.
      But the Theory of Universal Functions predates Theories of a Natural Origins by 150 years, but Newton didn't make the only logical H7pothesis for the Observation that the Universe is like a Watch/Machine/Function.

    (1:00) *RLK: **_"Why have so many philosophers, for example, moved away from that towards images of God, descriptions of God, that are non-personal?"_* ... There are many reasons, but the *#1 reason* is because there isn't a single person who hasn't experienced something so horrible during their lifetime that nobody should ever have to endure. The unimaginable levels of suffering present in human society does not correlate with an all-knowing, all-loving, omnipotent entity.
    At the same time, there is a spectacular level of beauty, structure, and compassion present within the universe that compels us to consider that something wonderful must surely be at the helm of existence.
    The truth is that there is no God (as defined by religion), but it is easy to confuse what religion calls "God" with what is actually at the helm of existence. What IS in control of existence is present and active in every single human who has ever existed. Humanity has simply chosen _not_ to "connect the dots."

      ... What child has ever "earned" being abducted, tortured, and violently assaulted?
      My argument isn't that human suffering shouldn't be a part of our existence. My argument is that you cannot have human suffering combined with an omnipotent God and have it all remain logical. That would be like having "flawed-perfection" which is a self-conflicting term.
      I know that you believe in God, and it is not my intent to challenge or marginalize your faith. I am presenting a new understanding of "Existence" in my book that better explains human suffering and why things happen as they do without involving a metaphysical being.
      You would be surprised on how this plays out.

    "Unusual form of interaction" is exactly what it is. As for theodicy: God makes evil despite not liking it because it is necessary. You can't be all powerful without actually doing all things. The existence of time is evidence that God regrets that necessity and is engaged in the greater good of creating an ever increasing preponderance of good.

    "Is God All Reality?"
    God is a fantasy concept. We can do with it what we want. If we decide that we will call All Reality God, then God is All Reality.
    Personally I already have a word for Reality, which is "Reality".

    • @1stPrinciples455
      @1stPrinciples455 2 года назад +2

      "Reality" depends on individual definition.
      To many scientists, especially physicists, the likelihood of known gods existing is little or none. But because we do not know too many things about reality, we should not conclude a yet UnKnown God or Trancendent being does not exist in unimaginable ways. So a true scientist today, given atheists and theists both cannot prove what they believe is true, then he should be Agnostic at least for now.
      Another problem clouding this topic is the fact that language which is an art is being used as humans sole way of communicating or explaining reality. This means everyone can have his own definition of Reality. Flaw or imperfection or flexibility of Language helps cults and charlatans to weasel their way out during a debate.

      The greatest man in all of "Reality" is a Jew called Yeshua ... whose life, death & resurrection ... was foretold in the Hebrew Bible written 500 - 1400 earlier.
      In the first book of the Hebrew Bible, it clearly explains Man was made in Gd's image and was perfect ... but disobeyed God ... and brought sin, death & judgement to all mankind. But it also revealed God is a Father, Son & Spirit ... and ... will send his only begotten Son to be a sin sacrifice to save eternal souls of anybody who BELIEVES.
      Hebrew Bible written 500 -1400 years before the birth of Jesus Christ on 1 Nisan 6 BC in Bethlehem ... foretold the Jews rejecting God's Messiah(Son) and being cursed by God, until they repent their sinss and embrace the Messiah(Son of God). It even predicted in the Book of Jonah that the Messiah(Son of God) will die 40 years before the Temple is destroyed because the Jews of Jerusalem ignored God's warning to repent.
      The New Testament was written 1900 years ago, as says the Jews will eventually embrace jesus as Lord & Savior, .... before Jesus returns to rule for 1000 years & then will come Judgement day. But after man has ruled the Earth for 6 x 1000 years.
      The Jews still reject jesus as the Messiah, and with the State of Israel, believe they are living in end times when their promised Messiah will come to save them. The Jewish Year since Creation is ...... 5782. Whether you like it or not, this is clear evidence ... the God is real.
      Christianity is responsible for the development & spreading of western civilization & values, human rights, democracy, eithics, law, the arts & sciences, and education.
      Missionaries where sent around the world to share the Good News .. and teach people to read the Bible for themselves and BELIEVE ... or not.
      Again. Life, death & resurrection of Jesus Christ in the Hebrew Bible written 500-1400 years earlier. The Jews repenting their sin, ending God's curse & accepted Jesus as the Messiah in the New Testament written 1900 years ago. Man will rule for 6000 years ... and then God will reign for 1000 years.
      If God does not exist, there is no harm done. You live, you die and then whatever.
      But if Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son sent to be a sin sacrifice to save the eternal souls of anybody who believes from God's just nature .... then you will lose everything.

      God created people. God know the future. God know everything Beforehand. God know what all humans will do in advance. God created hell and paradise. They are already there. People who do terrible abhorrent things will be thrown in hell and keep burning there forever. They will wish they die every moment in hell. But Death is no more.
      In this earthly life, people do have indeed free well. If they abuse this freedom, they only have this short earthly life to repent , otherwise they are sent to hell when they die, forever.
      On the contrary, in Paradise, people who did not abuse their God given freedom of will, believed in God "Allah", will be rewarded at the very first moment they are let in paradise, by selectively wiping off their memory of any misery they suffered during their short earthly life. And this is just the beginning of an eternal life in paradise .
      Paradise is beyond human imagination of extremely good life. No bad people are allowed. No death. No bad events. No disease or illness. No sadness. life in paradise keeps getting better every moment forever.
      Paradise is ultimate in beauty . If you get your loved ones to believe in God (Allah), as the unique sole creator of everything, who is unlike anything in creation, who has no partners , no children, no beginning or end, absolutely beautiful, powerful, merciful, just,
      then your loved ones are there for you for ever. There is no aging in paradise, you are 30 years of age. at the best state of health and beauty, forever. Paradise is much much bigger than our earthy universe.There is lot more to know.their
      Just understand that this earthy life is Not your real life. It just a test for humans so that each and everyone of them will know why his eternal destiny was decided and on what grounds. Well, Its people's deeds and intentions, since they have free will, that will lead them, individually, either to eternal life, the real life, in hell, or the non ending happiness life forever in paradise.
      None of this came from my own personal ideas or thoughts. This is what 2 billion Muslims believe, and told by Allah in his real, undistorted words of God. Nobody succeeded, or will ever do in distorting the Quran, Allah last message to All humans up to judgment day.

    Well done CTT for bringing into discussion very important issues concerning reality and truth. As for this episode; I think, first, we must recognize certain major differences between us and God. These differences, in a way, defines God with respect to our self. (1) We, as we know and observe, emerge from a “predecessor” (including a non-living one), God has no predecessor. He is God, not bound by past! (2) We die; God does not die. (3) We depend on other things, such as air, water, food, Earth, Sun, Universe, .. etc.; God does not depend on anything, He is Self-Sustaining, and Self-Sufficient. (4) We are Numerous; God is One and Unique. There is nothing similar to Him, and there is nothing which is equal (or equivalent) to Him.
    In a way, these four points may be considered as a short definition of what we, the believers, call it God, the Creator, and the Guardian, which by His Overwhelmingness over everything will be the Personal-God. >>>> see the next comment.

    Do religious folks empathize with me in that I think a belief in god is seriously totally strange. Do religious people think that of atheists? I think that supernatural beliefs like those of Christianity are so strange and imaginary. To me, it really and truly sounds like people playing-pretending a made up story like children do when they do religious activities. It is just so downright weird to me.
    I don’t mean any offense by this; I am just speaking my honest feelings. Whenever I’ve gone to church or read the Bible, there’s always been the overwhelming feeling of ridiculousness to it. It feels to me like role playing or pretending with friends, but people *ACTUALLY* believe these things? It’s just so so so strange to me that people take this seriously.
    I see absolutely no difference between religion and taking any random storybook and seriously believing that the story book is true. It’s like if people took the Lord Of The Rings books and based their whole lives and perception of reality on those stories. They are just stories!
    It seems like most people who ‘practice’ religion are really just making a focused effort to deceive themselves. It’s like they are working and using effort to deny what their senses are telling them. It’s childish imagination being taken seriously as if to be true. It’s just so incredibly weird to me, and I believe that I have a human right to not be influenced by religion if I do not want to be.

    If God is all knowing how can he be personal or have free will. Even if you limit God's knowledge to all possibilities and no knowledge of actuals with regards to free beings and thus himself. The case would be that God is all knowing and all good, so he'd know every possible outcome and the most good option, so he would inevitably take the most good choice, which if you argue is his will, its still not personal. At the very least it runs into the problem of evil and the Euthyphro dilemma.

    • @smilyle
      @smilyle 2 года назад +1

      You are presuming that every decisions comes down to only 1 good option. What about when there is more than one good option that are equally good in their final conclusion? And theoretically, if God is all powerful, and all knowing, he would know how to turn any situation, no matter how bad it seems to us, into something with an equally good conclusion or a better conclusion than a more pleasant path with less suffering or less evil. What if a path with suffering and evil, has the most good conclusion? You could argue that the ends don't justify the means, but I don't think we can apply human ethics to God. For God, the ends could justify the means because he is the author of morality...he is morality in some sense. So the point is that God can have free will because for God it isn't a choice between what is good or bad, it is a matter of preference of how he wants to make things right and make things good because he as an infinite number of ways to do such. The concept of about knowing what is the best possible outcome is a human concept that doesn't apply to God. From God's perspect there is no one best possible outcome there are an infinite amount of perfect outcomes for him to choose from. There can be imperfect outcomes for him to prevent, but that doesn't mean that there aren't many possible equally good and equally perfect outcomes that is a matter of his preference. And that is how he can be both personal and principle. His will is always a reflection of perfect goodness but there is no reason why perfect goodness has to be a singularity. And when perfect goodness does not have to be a singularity, then theoretically God's personality could even evolve within it's perfection based on the choices it makes.

    • @jhunt5578
      @jhunt5578 2 года назад

      @@smilyle So you are against the notion of there being a best of all possible worlds, but for an infinite number of perfect words. I suppose without knowing what goodness actually is to God, there's no way of knowing if there can be a best of all possible worlds.
      But you're right that its possible that God could have more than one most good choice. But he would know every possible perfect world and every possible choice to arrive at those worlds, so how could God evolve, as you put it, when God already knows all the outcomes in totality. At what point does God pivot to one choice or another when he has all the knowledge he'll ever have at all times?
      I also find it hard to believe any of God's perfect choices involves a tsunami.
      It's funny to me how people who believe in the God revealed by Abraham are deontological. But when the problem of evil comes up God turns out to be kind of a consequencialist. Yes you can argue that whatever God does is ethical, and that tsunamis are simply preferences within God's ethics, but why would an all powerful being prefer tsunamis as a method of carrying out goodness, when he has the power to enact whatever ends he wants outright? I can't imagine God using these "good" tsunamis in heaven, it'd just be... Well, good.
      If you think the best an all powerful, all knowing and all good being can do is pediatric cancer, pompeii and onchocerciasis parasites then you have a strange concept of perfection. I mean you have to look at Covid-19 and all the deaths, restrictions, trashed economies, domestic abuse and suicides and think... this is truly God's work, such perfection. Bite the bullet on babies being born with HIV. Personally I can't buy that.
      Do you think goodness is whatever God says it is or its objective and thus God follows it?

    • @smilyle
      @smilyle 2 года назад

      @Jh5578 God can evolve in its experience within time by making different choices under similar circumstances than it would have in the past. They can be different perfect choices but each perfect choice would come with its own evolutionary path. Some perfect choices can be more complex or more evolved than the next similar to the way that a sphere is a perfect 3D version of a perfect 2D circle. So it's not necessarily a moral evolution but an experiential evolution

    • @smilyle
      @smilyle 2 года назад

      @Jh5578 The problem of evil is very formidable as an argument against a personal God that is perfectly Good. I suppose that the way most atheist would define perfect goodness is the elimination of unnecessary suffering and the elimination of injustice -- even within the animal kingdom I suppose-- where some animals will eat a newborn baby as soon as it is born...that is unjust right? God should have created a world without that level of friction is the logical conclusion of that line of thinking. I think the challenge with that type of thinking is that in order to create a world where you've eliminated unnecessary suffering is that it becomes difficult to define what is and isn't necessary suffering because to a large extent it is subject. What is suffering to one person can be pleasure to the next person. Some people naturally are good at school and can study all day and night whereas some people have attention deficit issues when they can't move around and 12 years of forced school and learning is intolerable suffering to them if they have to sit in a classroom for 6 hours a day. And then there are extremely intense pleasures people can experience that requires a certain density of nervousness tissue...so the problem now is if we have the capacity to experience intense pleasure it may not be possible to have that possibility without the potential to experience extreme pain given the hardware requirements. Perhaps in heaven people can experience FAR greater pleasures but you have to show that you are responsible enough not to cause pain ...because the sensitivity of people may be so much greater. So perhaps we can't have it both ways...where the alternative may be to feel nothing at all. Who would want that? But the main question is, where do we draw the line as far as what is unnecessary suffering universally? No natural evils or natural disasters? How do we know those are actually natural and not man made or made by malevolent aliens or super beings? That sounds silly but we have technology that can create natural disasters and that is no secret. Covid 19 is likely to be man-made. Even if it isn't, it could have been. And what if the earth is itself alive and conscious and has its own free will and is deciding to do these things itself?
      I don't think a mature person can seriously make an argument that what makes something good is that it feels good or that it doesn't cause any pain. Most people atheist or not would agree those or shortsighted arguments.
      And that gets to my final point that theoretically we could live in a world where no one suffered and everything was intensly pleasurable, and it still wouldn't mean the world was perfectly good and it could be a world that was perfectly evil. What if we lived a world where children enjoyed being molested because God made it so that no one would have to suffer from it? Would we ever learn that that is wrong? What if people had slaves and the slaves enjoyed it because they were treated with intense pleasures-- where they didn't want to leave but never knew that they couldn't leave? What if it was a world where it felt good to get chopped up to pieces and felt good to die so no one had to develop any sense of conscience? What if everything everyone did was easy and you couldn't have healthy competition or you didn't have to work for anything? Would you develop any character strengths?
      So you can't base the notion of a perfectly good world on the idea that it would have no suffering or no uncertainty.
      Also there is a difference between being all knowing and knowing everything possible. God can know everything that is possible to know and there be things that God cannot know because it's impossible to know or because it is unknowable by nature. God can be all powerful and still have things that it can't do, such as make a square circle. A circle can't be a square because it's conceptually impossible. God can't do things that are conceptually impossible. So violating free will and making everything certain may not be conceptually possible with complex life highly intelligent and creative life forms that can experience choosing between preferences

      @@smilyle If God is omniscient then he already knows what every experiential choice will be. God wouldn't be shocked by any outcome because he already has full knowledge of it.
      God did create this just and good world as you described it, Eden and heaven. Yet Adam and Eve still fell, and so did Lucifer and the Angels.
      "What is suffering to one person can be pleasure to the next person" Children with cancer is pleasurable to who?
      Again this is God levying consequencialism when he's already made good in the first instance worlds such as Heaven and Eden. The only evil that existed there was that which resulted from free will, no "good" cancer, no "good" HIV babies.
      If your idea is that we need pain in contrast in order to experience pleasure, God made the hardware, he could make something other than gratuitous pain.
      So you're hypothesising that extreme pain can be felt in heaven? I believe the bible says humans who make it to heaven receive new bodies, it isn't hard to imagine those bodies are incapable of gratuitous suffering. But that still results in the problem of evil. God is all powerful he must have the power to create good in the first instance worlds.
      Childhood cancer is an easy place to draw the line at unnecessary suffering. Seriously, you're blaming tsunamis on demons and aliens?! Even if you want to go out on that ridiculous limb, God is all powerful he can stop it if he wants, how can evil prevailing in harming and killing innocence be a perfect world? (Or are you hiding behind the free will of Beelzebub and E.T.?)
      Technology that can create natural disasters, what nukes?
      Covid-19 is *not* likley to be man made. 75% of emerging diseases come from animals. All the epidemics and pandemics of the past didn't require it being cooked up in a lab. A new mutated coronavirus isn't hard to believe. Covid being man made is speculative conspiracy nonsense. With the way we factory farm animals I'm surprised it took this long for a pandemic.
      🤨 Why would a planet have free will, planets aren't alive. Theists seem to hide behind free will every second they can, free will which has magical properties within itself. The more logical answer is that the God revealed by Abraham is paradoxical, and if there is a God its not like him.
      On the contrary utilitarianism is a very popular moral system that focuses on pleasure and pain. The best outcome is the increase in pleasure and reduction in pain. I myself am a threshold deontologist, I care about justice/fairness first but at a certain point I care more about pleasure and pain. It's a sensible system to understand that we don't like ourselves to suffer gratuitously, and we can understand that others also don't want to suffer in such a way, thus its reduction is preferable.
      Pleasurable things can be bad, epicurus makes the point that suffering can be dynamic e.g. being incredibly thirsty can result in the pleasure of being quenched, the experience of cold gives way to the pleasure of warmth. Similarly pleasure can be dynamic drug, gambling and sex addiction, being lazy, eating too much these initial pleasures can result in suffering.
      Human evil can be explained by free will, there's no need for God to make molestation pleasurable. However he allows children getting cancer, what use is that?
      If a slave wants to be a slave are they really a slave, what you're describing is a volunteer. Besides the bible says slavery is moral, so that's a strange example to use.
      You don't need to have things that damage or kill the body be pleasurable. You could simply tone down the suffering, and eliminate stuff like cancer and tsunamis. You're going too far to the other extreme. It is possible to be functional and be happy without hedonism or gratuitous suffering.
      Yes I'm aware of the God nerf because its the only way such a God can survive logically. However if God is an omniscient being that knows all potentials how is it possible he doesn't know all actuals? He knows a person better than they know themselves, he knows them down to the sub-atomic particles, he knows every experience they've ever had in totality, he knows every thought they could possibly think, yet somehow God can't make a perfect prediction of what they'll do next and is perplexed when a person freely chooses something.
      God doesn't have to violate free will to be able to influence the world, why would God's knowledge be limited beyond free will?
      What desire would an all powerful, all knowing being even have, God knows what it is to experience everything because of his omniscience, how doesn't that spell indifference? Unless you further nerf him.
      Spinoza had it right, such a description of God doesn't work. An omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, infinite God would be pantheistic not personal.
      Also what's your answer to Euthyphro?

  • @evaadam3635
    @evaadam3635 2 года назад +2

    "Pantheism: Is God All Reality?"
    The Mystery of the Holy Trinity is about the WHOLE EXISTENCE (both spiritual and physical) being manifested by three Godly Energies that came from ONE SOURCE. Therefore, you can say that GOD is the source of all reality.
    These three Godly Energies are : God the Father (Physical Universe), God the Son ( us, free souls), and God the Holy Ghost (the Creator).
    However, eventhough God is the source of all reality, the fact that His sons have FREE WILL as His free splits, we are now accountable for the evil that we ever choose to do, not God. Again, because we are free, our WILL now is not anymore God's WILL, so, we are all accountable for our free choices.
    And if you ever ask who is responsibile for the split of God into free souls, the answer would be "WE ALL ARE RESPONSIBLE because we were all ONE WHOLE GOD who made that decision before the split."
    So, Robert, you can not blame God for the evil that men chooses to do..
    Now, the following explains why this Holy Trinity came to be :
    All alone, the Holy Spirit was never bored in His Spiritual World/Heaven..... but splitting Himself into free souls to have a free family to love, and to be loved freely, was His great achievement that has added great flavor to His existence....
    ..but before He split Himself, He created the Physical Universe first, because He can not rule out the possibility that some of His prospective free splits might go astray, may lose faith in His love to leave Him to end in NOTHINGNESS (Hell)..
    At least, the Physical Universe can serve as a temporary Home for those who may go astray, who may fell from Heaven, and who may ask Him for a chance to return Home through regaining the faith that they lost.

    • @ptgannon1
      @ptgannon1 2 года назад

      How exactly, does this Holy Spirit thing interact with the natural world we inhabit? Does any part of the so-called trinity, interact with our natural world in any way? If so, exactly how does this take place? We know everything that interacts with our fundamental components - mostly quarks and electrons, and if god/son/holyghost forces, fields or particles were interacting with us, we'd know it beyond reasonable doubt - or we'd have unexplained interactions - which is not the case. So how, exactly does this holy ghost thing interact with us, or is it just an idea that is moot from a practical standpoint?
      By the way, I like your definition of Hell as "nothingness." The bible actually says you get eternal life or you are destroyed, consumed, burned up - you perish, you die. However you will find most Christians do not accept that definition of Hell. They want those who don't share their FEAR to burn.

    I just can’t come up with any worthwhile reasons, and I’m as much of a thinker as you can possibly be. Is he a masochist? Does he get off on seeing someone turn to him, is he going to give special heavenly privileges to the victims of suffering and their loved ones, knowing that their loved ones might have also turned out to be perpetrators themselves, out of the suffering done to their loved ones?
    Doesn’t being a victim of evil distort free will? Or will this also be considered once your time has ended on this earth? I’ll tell you what, if god exists and he gives me the opportunity to answer for myself, he’ll have to answer for himself as well. He better have jaw dropping reasons for everything.
    Exodus 2:12, "He looked this way and that, and seeing no one, he struck down the Egyptian and hid him in the sand."
    Why was it ok for Moses to take a life, and not us as it’s instructed in the Ten Commandments? Did god have an epiphany and update his rules and expectations, or was Moses so special he was simply pardoned?
    Frankly, it’s quite ludicrous to believe any such god could exist. How could he? I’m not and never will be up for the challenge to accept he does, and that somehow, in spite of all my concerns, frustrations and misunderstandings, there are reasons as to why these things happen, and that they’re just simply beyond my comprehension, because of my pee brains ability to do so, even though it has the capacity for choosing evil, or, seeking forgiveness and worshiping a creator.

    god can not be a temporal being - that does not mean he would not be able to interact in a temporal universe. but if god truly was a temporal being, you would run into the same problem of "where and when did god come from".
    none of us can imagine a world outside of time, but god certainly must be.
    when any of us try to make conclusions about god, we do so based upon what our world is like. we dont know that space, time and matter even exist outside of our universe. there would be no way for us to even think about a life without these things. like an ant thinking about calculus !!

      Pantheism makes sense biblically to me within that subject of free will. We are either slaves to sin (no free will) or we are free in Christ. If freedom only exists when we have denied the separate self, then the separate self must be a lie. The truth is that Christ is contains all creation and we are that. We have freedom in Christ because unity with God and all creation is our genuine nature.

      " i dont get why so many people are concerned about the "evil" situation" It's only a problem if you believe God has unlimited power, total benevolence. The paradox was posed by Epicurus over 2000 years ago. You might have heard it in various forms but it goes like this:
      “Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
      Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
      Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
      Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”
      Also if God is omnipotent and omniscient then he knows the future, so there can't be such a thing as free will, not even for his creations.

    This really seams like a materialistic description of a God being. Where it would be quite difficult to rationalize something more similar to a ghost, phantasm, spirit, supernatural being... I would think everything known materialistically, including all life is subject to the absolute law of death, everything known. There may be examples of some kind of life that keeps replicating itself into a continued existence outside of the birth process, but eventually the Earth will succumb to this law as well and stop all life... regardless of elsewhere, unknown, and all the speculations. However, I would like to understand the processes that could keep all matter eternal and what would this hypothetical or unconditional force be and the purpose of this everlasting immortally of everything, if there is one, along with every minute detail of the continued consciousness and how that happens, every detail? Love is an important feeling when in balance to all the other feelings of the human being, otherwise the love it is not balanced, and in that there is not any whom have balanced or identified all of them, as well as the relationship it has to all living beings intellect. (You want to go where with what?) None of you here or elsewhere that I know of in the world have perfected this or proved of a being that has done so, as the universe is evolving to something different as I see it, meaning incompleteness of any perfection itself materialistically, let alone you yourself. Myself, evolution of a changing system to a more perfect system over unfathomable time spans seems a little more reasonable. This all, which is not really so much about you and your personal suffering and the suffering you bring about to others who are unaware of the dangers caused by imbalances of the consciousness, or just do not care to understand as much as possible about the truth of existence, or care. You have no right to preach to others until you change and perfect your own part existence of reality and any truth of existence, personally, none are even close to any perfections similar to all that has ever existed. There is no death of one to save others, show me the minute processes of how and why this is needed for a reality of truth and purpose. I do not see any other way for it to be done other than through your own mentality and of the personality to be able to understand the reality of the world along with your senses that develop the overall complexities of the mind... you have to test it, truth and its realities. The human being may never find the beginning, but there are sure to be a wealth of understanding that will help to create a more perfect being... this may happen more slowly or or not, the personal suffering you continually accept as truth will more than likely set that incompleteness of humanity in the future.

    I'm not sure the video title or its description connects well with the video content, as pantheism, as a contender-concept to theism, is only mentioned, not discussed. Pantheism might refer to the universe/reality as a giant brain/mind, where all manner of life-forms and their physical environments are just the thoughts of God (e.g., Philip K. Dick's Exegesis "thinks" something like this). Or the discussion might just be about naturalism vs. theism, where existence is attributed to a hopefully eternal non-contingent cause in both perspectives (i.e., a required axiom in both). So there has to be some non-contingent-buck-stopping, and all theists and atheists ever do is argue about what stops it. Atheists say it stops at a point where NO mindful agents exist, and the nature of what exactly that point is has to be investigated via science. Whereas theists say a MIND had to be the first non-contingent ultimate cause, and I suppose the only investigation options for that view are revelatory gnosis.

No transition forms & precursors for the fossils ... nor over 4 billions years for all the species today. And still nothing today in the fossil record proving the evolution of life.
      Natural selection only causes VARIATION within a species. There is zero evidence of Abiogenesis ... and that the all life today evolved from a common ancestor 4 billion years ago. A finch is still a finch, a dog is still a dog, a whale is still a while, a moth is still a moth.
      Now the "deluded" evolutionists are using common embryonic development & DNA to as evidence of Darwin's racist "Survival of the fittest" manifesto. A chimp has 98% of the Human DNA .... but a cat has 90% ... a Cow has 60% .. and a banana 50%. Numbnuts, DNA is simply coding and a gene is simply a form of object orientated programming, with common algorithms shared by ...... Living machines.

Paley's Watchmaker Analogy in the 1800's ... and every Biologist today all comparing Life forms & biological processes to .... MACHINES(Functions).
      There is not & never will be any scientific evidence PROVING without any doubt that the Universe & Life have a NATURAL origin billions of years ago.
      Matter, energy, space, time and the laws of physics are all Functions. Everything in the Universe is a function. The Universe is a function composed entirely of Functions.
      Science is all about discovering & understand all the functions in the Universe, and how they cause natural phenomena.
      The Laws of Thermodynamics and the expanding Universe data ... clearly shows .... the Universe is a FINITE Isolated Thermodynamic System ... that began & is expanding in an INFINITE Open System(Surroundings) which must provide the matter, energy, space, time & laws of physics for the Universe to exist & function. And the data clearly shows Earth is at the center of the expanding Universe.
      But the Nature freaks ... insist the Universe is INFINITE is size so they can say any point in the Universe can APPEAR to be the center. Wrong. An Infinite Thermodynamic System ... will have infinite time & volume ... and therefore have reversible thermodynamic processes ... and have CONSTANT entropy.
      Our Universe only has irreversible thermodynamic processes with finite matter & energy and INCREASING entropy.
      No evidence? We have known about Thermodynamic Systems & surroundings and Entropy for over 150 years. And yet you fools insist the the Universe is INFINITE in size. Atheism is a religion that worships Humanism & Nature and promotes pseudo-science
      Christianity is a religion that OPENLY worships a God who created the Universe, nature & the laws of physics. Christianity has lead the development & spreading around the world or western civilization & values, human rights, democracy, ethics, rule of law, education and the arts & sciences.
