Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson is actually a good airport. I would take ATL any day over DFW, JFK, Newark, O'Hare, or LAX. It is much easier to navigate, much more efficient, and the people are nice there...nicer then other airports.

ATL airport is a disaster. They need to take cues from airports like ORD on how to run smooth & efficient security checkpoint lines. The North terminal in particular will have you missing your flight even arriving an hour before for a domestic flight. Funneling folks through 1 single ingress line is ridiculous. Also, the employees there (incl. TSA workers) are rude & disrespectful.

@@kevinb6745 I started flying in the 1960's and the stewardesses were like the Millennia film. Had to do a lot of jet-setting just before the first Pan pipe was blown and wow, no signs in O'Hare, nor clocks, and cops intervening in hiring a cab - need to have a valid address! DFW put the Plesiosaur in the basement. I always though Atlanta was the best that I've seen. So, if you don't answer their questions correctly they just advise you to "Hope" and some other obscure word... Reminds me of the ~100 mile from the border check point, that lady gave up asking me questions. Business or pleasure? - neither, etc.

Bunches. It was safe, clean and had restrooms. In, I’d say early 2021, signs popped up say the airport would check boarding passes from 11:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. They also limited the door entrances.
