That would be the same technique, but more difficult due to the small diameter

Can you do a video of this but two double braid dyneemas? I cannot find that, only double braid polyester and single braid dyneema

How strong would this be relative to the cord / rope you spliced together assumning you did a good job?

Quite strong. With proper splicing you the breaking strenght won't go down more than 10%
