A Pokemon that starts as a wheel and then turns into a minecart, cool. Third stage of evolution was a real missed opportunity to have it just be a train engine
And if they did that, hundreds of thousands would've bitched and moaned that it's stupid and lazy. Same as when any anthropomorphic Pokemon is revealed.
you prolly dont give a shit but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the latest movies on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my girlfriend during the lockdown xD
I've realized these "highlights" of mine are actually kinda just a death reel, so I'm devoting myself to that now. 47:40 to watch a true hero go out in a blaze of glory. 5:05:10 for one hell of a vibe check.
I too am doing a blind nuzlocke with the same rules. On the last gym with 4 pokemon, and without my starter. My heart goes out to you Jared and all our fallen friends.
You know what’s sad? Jared didn’t keep Coil. Why? There’s a super simple way to annihilate Bea’s whole team with a Centiskorch: 1:) Get a Sizzlipede. 2:) Level it up properly (I got mine to Lv. 36) 3:) Use Coil six times against Hitmontop; it can barely even touch you. 4:) Keep clicking Flame Wheel and watch the carnage.
So there's a weird appeal for me in this game. As someone who always makes teams exclusively of Fire types, the Fire Gym Challenge presents a spot fairly early on where I can fill in the gaps and settle on my final team.
ProJared, your brand and name are a killing word against cancel culture and I will scream them as I charge into battle against other persecuters of content creators based on their personal lives, and not their public content. You are a hero for standing tall and not fleeing like Blizzard. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Shame he rushed to use his Dynamax move instead of reading each of them. Max Guard would've been clutch and a thousand times better. Took 10 minutes to decide which Pokemon to send out, but less than a second to choose a move!
Stuff happens in the heat of the moment. It’s easy to see the right solution as an observer but often we forget things when actually playing. If you aren’t one of those people that’s fine but I’m not gonna fault Jared entirely
Jared: “I don’t eat my crusts because it leaves more room for actual pizza” - THANK YOU! That has been my personal philosophy as well since forever. Love it.
Damian Karhoff true, and there are some pizza places that I never miss out on the crust because it’s too good. If your ever in the San Francisco Bay Area. Totos Pizzeria in San Bruno (just south of San Fran) has the best pizza in the world. It’s been my families favorite since forever.
Fun Fact: Venomoth isn't a moth. Translators called it a moth for punny purposes when they made up the English names, but its real name is "Morphon", and Morpho is a genus of butterfly. And as Jared LOVES to mention, they accidentally switched its sprite with Butterfree's. But I guess everyone knew that given how blatantly obvious it is on both sides.
That Kabu fight is a good example of the AI being smarter this gen, since Jared had already swapped out before the AI predicted Jared would swap again and used Fire instead of Bug.
In response to what he said about shinies, same for me. I've played since Gen 1 and never found myself a shiny Pokemon in the wild in any main game. Besides the handouts like Gyarados and shiny legendaries from event codes, I've only encountered a shiny Magikarp in Pokemon Go once. I'm shocked to learn someone else has been in the same position of me having terrible luck on finding a shiny at random in the wild. Maybe one day we'll find one.
If you had JUST used Wimpod, it would have resisted the fire move, probably survived the bug move, and WOULD HAVE IMMEDIATELY SWITCHED OUT. Giving you a free swap into your Carkol, leaving you free to Dynamax and hit it with 4x effective rock.
Eh, I'm not so sure about that. Notice that Mood lost 55 HP from Centiskorch's Flutterby. If Wimpod were to take the same amount of damage, it would be left with a measly 2 HP. However, his Wimpod has _significantly_ less in both defenses than Mood (27 Def/24 SpD vs. 49/41), so I'm pretty sure that would be an easy OHKO. Wimpod does not resist Fire due to its Bug-typing, either, meaning, if its Fire attack is anywhere near Flutterby's power, it would also be an OHKO. That said, Corvisquire was probably not the right call, either.
Watching Wahnulla get sacked instead of Dubbo hurt my soul. Such a pity that he wasted all his Ancient Powers before the G-Max Centiskorch, that 4x would have fucked its day right up.
I know it will never officially be made.. but someone needs to make a pokemon game where they revolt against the human slave masters who force them to fight for amusement.
i mean mood's death is kind of a happy moment. he got to die as a drizzile and was spared the punishment of becoming an inteleon. (edit) spoke too soon. sorry jared desecrated your corpse mood.
Re: judging things based on something you imagine - fair enough, but also you'd maybe think a game that costs 50% more than the last couple would be 50% better. For a lot of people it isn't.
And a lot of people had huge preconceptions about what this game would be. 50% better is 100% subjective. I think Sword and Shield are at least 70% better than dip ass XY and Sun and Moon. "A lot of people" isn't a huge statistic, and definitely not huge enough to completely abandon their current model in support of people who despise change.
@@flipribby I suppose you're right, but the main complaint of the complainers was definitely not 'change' generally. Most people I've seen did really like the Wild Area (which is really the big change here) and the spectacle of gym battles. What they didn't like was the removal of many Pokémon, the fact that the villain's plan doesn't make much sense and the fact that Leon is the one who deals with everything while you get told to go back to your gym challenge, the fact that Team Yell do literally nothing of note, the removal of almost any bonus areas (including the towns/cities that look much larger than they are), and I'm sure there's a bunch of other stuff I forgot. There're some specific complaints about Dynamax, but that one does feel more subjective and I don't want to get into that - and some people are claiming the 'changes' aren't enough of a change and the series is still stagnating hard. Obviously it's subjective whether those matter to you, and maybe the Wild Area or Dynamaxing make the game feel much better than the previous ones, or there were elements of gens 6 and 7 you hated. Fair enough. But the things I listed above, as far as I know (having never played Gen 6, just seen some of it and talked a lot about it), are all regressions from both of those generations.
Dammit! Mood was gonna evolve, it evolves at lvl 35... every pokemon I wanted you to react to when they evolve is dead now or chose not to use, that sucks.
I'm annoyed that the female character with a ponytail hairstyle can't wear hats. At least let her wear a baseball cap with her ponytail sticking out the back.
After what happened to the Corvisquire, I'm pretty convinced that the way in which Gamefreaks cheated having to improve AI was to give the NPCs a random chance to select their attacks AFTER player turn action is calculated. Kind of like how they cheated having to add battle backgrounds by making indor battles happen in some sort of void surrounded by the Silent Hill mist. The crit on the Emo gecko was bullshit, as well; thought Jared kind of should have U-turned the low health Pangoro into Alcremie, to give it a fresh start to set up defenses against the enemy next pokemon. He seemed to often foget he had that move.
It's possible that they calculate how much damage the fire move would do when resisted and if it's enough to kill they go for it, since you'll probably try to change to something that resists the previous effective move.

Best bug has arrived.
Got so excited when he almost did that first raid battle. Clobbopus is one of my favorite new pokemon.
The first of his starters to reach form three (final evolution), and he died before it happened. Wish he kept it, solely as a memorial shrine.
I happened across a Sandaconda while Jared was fighting the Silicobra, so ended up naming it Big Boss.

The Emperor from FF2 would be proud that you used Satfall to win. That sucks about Mood but that new dive animation is god like.

He had no PP left on Ancient Power. Dynamax shares the PP of the move its based on. Also Wimpod doesn't resist fire.
