I've tamed the Deinosuchus before, and these crocodiles are powerhouses in the game. Especially when you use the giga bite, plus taming them is pretty easy. All you have to do is wear ghile armor, put meat in your zero slot, wait for it to lay down, open its mouth, crouch down and feed it meat if you don't have extraordinary kibble. Any meat is fine such as regular meat, prime meat, or mutton. Make sure they're on land and not in the water because it's gonna be very hard to get it tamed. Just repeat this process until its tamed, no tranquilizing, no having to trap it. And the taming is pretty quick as all you just have is wait for it to lay down and open its mouth

@@Shanosuke yes it does actually help. The Ghillie Suit helps you hide from all the animals that wanna eat you like Sarco's, Titanoboas, and all the dangerous animals that live in the swamp area. The Deinosuchus won't even see you wearing it when you're trying to tame it. Just follow those steps I put in my comment and you'll have your very own Deinosuchus for yourself. And trust me the tame is worth it.
I wish they would consult the dododex every time they want to tame something. You're suppose to look it up. I mean, how else would you even know how to tame an amargasaurus?

@@JaytheOstrich17i think dinos are programmed to not run up ramps/ceilings to fall in to traps. Am sure of it. Worst change for ark tho is not lettin you take big dinos on rafts 😢.
@@TezKingboom they absolutely will, I do it all the time. you just have to make sure you lead them up the ramp properly. with the bigger dinos it does usually involve letting yourself get bit once or twice but absolutely still possible to this day

Did you never use dododeks or whatever it was called? That came out pretty early in games life. We was usin it on console when game came out on ea. Probably the best time to play. The initial launch. When everyone knew squat. We was a four man tribe living on the raised island between rivers. We was first too guns and turrets. Back when you could put them on rafts without a mod. Dienosuchus is one of my favorite of the new Dinos, they're fantastic. However, like majority of the new Dinos, they're not knock out tames & have specifically unique taming methods, you'll will have to do some research on a few of them. Other comments have explained the basics so I won't repeat them. Enjoy the beautiful boys! They'll swallow you whole. Good job on the Argy trap though boys, like Pros. Also the "Spacey" stuff in the Volcano is the final boss for the map & how to ascend to Scorched Earth.
I dunno, based on the release delay and their "kill it with turret" strategy, I'm thinking they will have wiped out every one before they see any comments.
They do know it. They mentioned in a podcast that Anthony comes into the server and sets all these things up. It would ruin the immersion if they said it in the video.

The big gators are indeed passive tames, but you can only feed them while they're basking with their mouth open, think of it as tossing food in their jaws while they're chill (also their big snap makes you bleed/gives you broken bones, that's what was hurting Neebs)
Cannot believe you had the turret kill a lvl 140 Deinosuchus. If you had tamed that you'd be unstoppable. I know ya'll don't really care about it but levels make a huge difference.

We need a Neebs Gaming coffee cup now with Goofball on it. The color change type, so when you pour in the coffee Goofball disappears... just like when Neebs has him near water... --- Appsro, there is a great spot for those Tudor Buildings at lat 43.1, long 81.5 not too far from your base. Also, there is a mod that goes with those buildings well, called Alfa Terrain Platforms that will let you craft a terrain piece that's perfectly flat.
There are 3 types of crocodiles in ark, the gators that jump are the smallest, the medium ones with the more narrow mouths are sarcos, the giant ones are deinosuchus They’re the biggest ones, you tame them by wearing gillie suits and putting prime meat in their mouths while they’re basking on land
Still unbelievable to me that as long as you guys have played ARK you've never done the Tek Cave in the Volcano!!!! Its like the first big accomplishment you can do on ARK, you guys should definitely try it. I don't expect you to get all the required items and breed a team of 20 Dinos to get in, but it would be a great Finale to this playthrough to do the Tek Cave and fight the Overseer. Just spawn in the items and Dinos you want, people usually use Rexs, Therizinosaurus and Yutis
But it's almost frustrating when Neebs does it. Maybe it's because he is held at a (slightly) higher standard. Although it's obvious that he has that North Carolina or Floridian public education brain.

I finally worked up the courage to tame a deinosuchus not too long ago. I think the experience for me was a lot like what Thick described when he'd go steal wyvern eggs lol.
The mod creator for the deinosuchus is Garuga and he also did the Xiphactinus too. He's got some other great creatures on the Ark Additions mod. His creatures really are awesome and their unique taming requirements does add more excitement to the game.

Neebs if you find sheep kill them for they're meat mutton (if you don't want to make superior kibble) And use that to tame a high level female and male deinosuchus because they're amazing at fighting. Breed the male and female. Take note of which sex has the higher health and melee stat and grow a baby with those stats and you get an extra 30% damage and 30% damage taken reduction when they're 100% imprinted. And there you have your best fighting and swimming dino!
Guys, I googled how to tame the giant croc…Passive tame! Superior kibble or better works best. Wait for it to make a hissing sound and it will sit there with mouth open. Then run up to its mouth and throw kibble/meat in.
Those giant gators are tameable by feeding either raw mutton or superior kibble, they damage wood,thatch,and greenhouse walls you can imobilize them with either chain bola or large bear traps, and you can use weapons while riding so says the wiki

I finally worked up the courage to tame a deinosuchus not too long ago. I think the experience for me was a lot like what Thick described when he'd go steal wyvern eggs lol.
The mod creator for the deinosuchus is Garuga and he also did the Xiphactinus too. He's got some other great creatures on the Ark Additions mod. His creatures really are awesome and their unique taming requirements does add more excitement to the game.

Also don’t feel bad, Neebs. Back when the game was in early access, I had an argentavis that drowned because his feet were dipped into the water
Neebs if you find sheep kill them for they're meat mutton (if you don't want to make superior kibble) And use that to tame a high level female and male deinosuchus because they're amazing at fighting. Breed the male and female. Take note of which sex has the higher health and melee stat and grow a baby with those stats and you get an extra 30% damage and 30% damage taken reduction when they're 100% imprinted. And there you have your best fighting and swimming dino!

Guys, I googled how to tame the giant croc…Passive tame! Superior kibble or better works best. Wait for it to make a hissing sound and it will sit there with mouth open. Then run up to its mouth and throw kibble/meat in.
Those giant gators are tameable by feeding either raw mutton or superior kibble, they damage wood,thatch,and greenhouse walls you can imobilize them with either chain bola or large bear traps, and you can use weapons while riding so says the wiki
