you are describing a trans person (tho it's a bit clumsy to say things such as "a boy who wants to be a female") more than a drag queen/king.
The people who do drag are similar to actors: they are playing a character for entertainment. Usually that character is hyper feminine, hyper masculine, or a mix of masculine and feminine (see Conchita wurst). Like actors, the pple who do drag don't necessarily want to be the gender they are portraying. It's just a character.

In hindsight it's so interesting to see Ben, a smart adult man, not being aware of the fact that doing your makeup means that you have to get super close to your eyes (waterline, lashes etc) How do non-makeup wearing people perceive made up faces? Fascinating.
I don't wear and have never worn makeup (also my pfp is from 6 years ago, so don't say I'm just a kid and will use makeup eventually. I hate these comments as passionately as people talking me into coffee or alcohol):
Some are artistic and interesting. Some (most) are a waste of time as nobody cares what you looks like in your day to day life. People won't even actually look at you if they're not nosy creeps or doing identity checks at the airport.
Especially those over the top influencer looks I think are overused and make you look like a plastic doll, but not a pretty one. Same with drag makeup. It's both just wasting hours of your day making something ugly (just my personal opinion, no hate against drag entertainers. They do a great job at entertaining, I just don't like their makeup).
Such colourful not every day looks like Cristine is wearing in this video are fine especially for special occasions like weddings, photoshoots or whatever.
But ultimately everyone should do with their face as they wish. I don't care if you spend 3 hours in the morning doing your makeu or not. As I have said earlier, I, like most people, won't even realize you have makeup on as I won't stare at your face. So, just do whatever makes you happy as long as you don't harm anyone else with it.
@@sapphireblue4031 I wasn't a makeup person and even now I don't wear it much. I started getting into it when I started looking at cosplays. I mostly wear it at home because I find it fun to put on if I'm in the right mood but I'm not very good at it. It's something that some people want to do every day, some people just want to play around with it or use it occasionally, and some people are just not interested.
I see it as impossible. I just found out that L’Oréal is not a hand cream company and watched my sister do her make up. And after watching RuPauls drag race I have so much respect for people that do serious make up
As someone who hardly wears makeup (maybe eyeliner when I feel ❤︎fancy❤︎ lol), i dont see it as “made up faces”, but art with yourself as a canvas! Maybe its because im an artist though haha

1: Glue them down so they’re flat
2: Use powder on them so they arn’t oily
3: Use concealer over them gently
4: Use foundation
Next method~
1: Glue them down so they’re flat
2: Go straight to foundation and use a matte foundation
3: Use little powder
Last method~
1: Put a matte concealer or foundation through them with an eyebrow comb
2: Glue them down
3: Put more concealer or foundation
4: Make sure they’re all covered up before applying powder

No, seriously Ben, thank you. It's really refreshing to have examples of men who don't feel threatened by things like wearing makeup and wigs. And I totally loved that both of you approached the whole topic like "I don't know what drag is exactly, but we have google. *googles it* Huh, okay, cool. That seems like fun and people seem to enjoy it."
And then at the end reacting to you makeup by saying it was actually cool and still doing the montage rather than going for the laughs of throwing a fit over it and ahhhh my face whyyyy.
It makes me so happy to see things like this and the little steps toward change.

LynnH 1223 not at all. A lot of guys are still struggling with fragile masculinity. I'm hoping though that it's getting better since it sounds like your community might be a place where homophobic people are a rarity. So that gives me hope! Hehe
But in a lot of areas, countries, and cities, this is still a problem. That's why we need more videos like these to help people be more open and accepting to the LGBTQ+ community :)
