Because of Getter's personality, I would have never expected him to ever feel depressed. It's cool how he channels that feeling into his music. I've been feeling down myself lately and haven't been making music because of it, but this has made me realize that I need to use that feeling and express it in my tracks.
@48:06 This is THE growl used not only by Getter but by so many others as well. It's interesting to see his version of it. This is the sound that he does a lot; ex. Slam Dunk (VIP). Getting to see Getter show off his version of it on stream made my day. I saved the hyper dimension settings and COMP settings for future use on basses (which were close to what I usually use anyways). SO useful. 10/10 TY Getter
Very inspiring man, as a guitar player it's cool to see artists who can make music across genres. You've convinced me to start saving for this software.
Getter I know you won't ever read this but seriously favorite artist your music gets me going no matter how I feel everything you do is relatable lol at least to me.
Thanks for doing this. It's so useful to see your thought process. I had Ableton open while watching just to try out little tricks here and there, but it's so valuable to just stay away from Ableton and listen. For me, I find it useful to try and internalize as much knowledge that I can adapt to my personal workflow and go from there. Big ups Getter, even if people on chat can be annoying, there are a lot of people that will learn from these and become better musicians.
Hope you stream more man, youre a funny guy and hearing from the producer is so much more valuable than being told it by some random tutorial fuck who may or may not know what they are talking about. Dope serum skin btw man
Thank you so much for this livestream, your really fuckin good. Ive always loved your stuff but as a producer after this stream i can listen to your music from an whole other perspective. Thanks brotha! Keep on doing what makes you feel good!
that part where he said "you dont have to go to music school to learn this" well i go to one of those music schools and learned more here then i did in 2 months at a recording school.
This guy is a living clown with a whole lot of talent!!! I fucking love Getter!!! Ur music even if not always great I appreciate you and ur talent. I truly enjoy your music!!!
Honestly, I haven't enjoyed this much watching any other tutorial videos. Thank You getter for this helpful tutorial. Hope to see more tutorial videos in soon.
thank you brother, you have no idea how much i needed this video. great production work and also i can relate with the waves of feeling low and then learning to grow from it. amazing video and i seriously look forward to more break downs and chill time. The song is amazing and passion and talent all are represented in the body of work. Thanks again
Get rid of unnecessary frequencies in your highs and lows, mix stuff correctly and then for extra fun add some noise with your sub and distort the fuck out of it and then low cut that, duplicate it turn the noise, low cut and distortion off and high cut that down to where you low cut the other one (or dont). Add some ott on the distorted one if you want. Experiment with triangle and sine waves for both instances, fuck with the adsr till you like it, make sure it hits with the kick and side chain one or both if you want or eq in a way that they work together. Also watch this video starting at 34:40 it's getter and he makes an 808 a slightly different but still effective way.
Thank you for this, i've alway been a fan of your music but watching stuff like this really puts it into another perspective and makes me respect you that much more even, i really love the metal stuff! I was into metal before dance music back in 2010. You're an inspiration dude, keep pushing boundaries and doing new stuff! Cant wait for the albums
i have had some deep love to this song from the day of the release and just now i have stumbled upon this video. Holy shit i understand the deeper meaning why i fell in love now.. I have battled anxiety and depression for couple years. getting better by day.
If you could convince sonny to do something like this with one of his old tracks I would literally cream, cool seeing how you create things tho, I’m surprised how many people over do shit on “getter tutorials” 😂
Absolutely love watching this. After listening to your music for this long it's great to see the process so I can improve my workflow when making my own shit
Damn I knew I recognized a noise or two in Colorblind from the old version on your Diplo & Friends mix. I was steady hoping you'd release it! Both versions are sick, its disappointing though that the old version will go unreleased because it was also some next level shit but that's not how things went. Thanks for doing this, much love my dude.
This video is fucking gold man. I've been waiting for one of these forever from you and you teach the different techniques perfectly! love how you dont take shit from any one too in the middle of talking haha
Freaking awesome video man, I totally believe people should seek out there own style in what they do but I truly enjoyed your take on effects chains specifically. Keep killing it, mad respect from your boy Heisenberg, subscribed

Sōsei-ki yeah, but there's way less control, if you understand how it works and can replicate that on other plugins
Ritwik Ranjan What do you use... apparently you have the superior daw.
my personal opinion: Sausage Fattener works better on FL Slayer than a Third Party VST.
"That dude definitely listens to riddim"
