    It never ceases to amaze me how people from previous eras were able to work around the technological limitations of the time and do suprisingly intuitive and clever things. This is pretty much what we used for decades before the modern PDF format.

    And here I am on the internet trying to research how people researched before the internet... god, I remember being taught how to use a typewriter and a microfilm projector when I was a kid. Thank God for google, and for not having to blow into a game cartidge just to play Duck Hunt.

    I used to know how to Use microfiche when I was 16 years old back in 1982 at Alameda Naval Air Station in Northern California.

    I worked in many agencies and companies and I wish we would go back to microfilm as a backup. If you are looking for computer drawings or documents from more than 10 years ago you are out of luck but paper drawings from 30 to 100 years ago are still around.

    With advance magnification we can put microfilm on the cassette tape width and reduce storage space

    Not all microfith are created equal . like 36 mm film the rim are great amount of data
