I love your berry finishing. Thanks for making something so dang cute so affordable. I feel like you guys are very conscientious about people’s financial situations. Thanks again.
Congratulations on a successful market!! It was so fun to meet you both :) I LOVE the pens - they write so smoothly 😍 Can't wait to see what's coming next!
It’s quite an awakening to realize you’re the oldster! I’m the oldest in my stitch group and it hit me one day that they probably consider me the “old lady” but, I don’t see myself the same way! Enjoyed the market news and “bought that t-shirt”!
Bren and I totally get the “feeling old” realisation when sitting in on some conversations at the bar at Market😂 In our mind we are still 30 but in reality, not so much 😂 We also don’t tend to be joiners either, so if we are at the bar next year, please feel free to join us. It would be lovely to have a longer catch up during the craziness of Market.🦊🐰
Thanks - this was so fun to watch! I just got the gather wildflowers and will be starting it tomorrow. Yellow berry suggestion - check out yellow raspberries.
Market sounds like so much fun. Love all the new little rounds. The t-shirts look great but I did think Mr HoD's said "Handsome Designs" on the back at first! He could get a custom one made.
Another fun video from the two of you! Loved hearing about Market and seeing all of your new charts again. I’m super excited to be hosting a SAL for the Spring Folk design! Have fun at your retreat! ❤
Surely enjoy you guys, my hubby and I had a one and done after we had a motorcycle ride… it during his illness. He passed in 2017, however he always supported me even during my self employment sewing job. Love you guys and appreciate your channel as I managed a pedi clinic and love our kiddos, God bless you!!! Big hugs!
Love all you new designs.mi was part of the Gather Round club last year and have spring and summer stitched. Have to get busy and finish the rest. I also bought that “Owl Always Love You” bag from Joyful Stitching. Couldn’t resist as it goes so well with the Stitching Parliament design. I’m almost finished with one of the four owls and am loving every stitch. I’m planning to stitch Spring Folk along with Sarah, just waiting on fabric. 🪡 stitch some happy! Love the T-shirt design!
I’m so glad you like your project bag. ❤ it’s always great to catch up with you and Mr HOD. I’m off to stalk the market recaps in hope of seeing all four seasonal folk models! Have a wonderful time at your mulligan retreat.
I use Frixion pens in my classroom and they use the same mechanism, my student always require a tutorial on how to make it work. Ya'll are so much fun!
Hi! I love Spring Folk! And okay, I know tomatoes aren’t berries, but cherry tomatoes are small, round, and orangy. I think we look so cute on a berry! Just throwin’ it out there 😺
You guys always make me laugh. All your new releases are amazing. I did buy your Spring Folk, I have the paddle ordered. I need to get my fabric and floss so that I can join the SAL. Your pentorial was hilarious. I would have been one of those people that wouldn’t know how to use the pen😂😂😂😂. Great video, can’t wait for your next FlossTube ❤
Your market releases are wonderful and so fun! I love that such cute charts are so very doable in a rather short amount of time and easy to finish as well. Thank you for that. I always enjoy your happy hour videos.
One of my favorite couples. I love your patterns. I have only been stitching for about two years. I have a tendency to pick larger patterns, not this year. I am going to focus on oranment stitching. I'm looking forward to it.
Cathy, I fell out laughing at the pentorial video. As someone who works in Advertising and Promotional Products, I have had this very same thing happen to me with customers and certain types of pens. Once they are shown how simple it is to click them open, you see the light dawn in their eyes and then the slight embarrassment on their face. Have fun at your girls retreat and enjoy some relaxing time with friends. I can’t wait to get one of the T-shirts.
For a yellow colored berry, there is Yellow Raspberry, Goldenberry Gooseberries, and Cloud Berry. For orange, there is Orangeberry and Kumquat, which is more of a citrus.
Hi Cathy and Bill! I always love watching both of you, especially when it’s happy hour! So much fun! Your new releases are wonderful…I’ve seen several that I need to add to my ever growing collection 😊. You asked for suggestions for your next berry design, and I immediately thought of Royal Ann cherries because they’re yellow with a tinge of pink/red…What do you think? Enjoy your retreat, and wishing you safe travels ❤. Micki
I love the fabric you used for spring folk. There's cloudberries ... they grow like strawberries but look like raspberries and have a deep orange/light orange coloring. Love your designs!
I’m REALLY looking forward to stitching your Gather Pinecones trio as well as Gather around the table. They are just beautiful pieces. Thanks for the interesting happy hour! ❤
I am happy to hear there were new shops at Nashville - I live in a , well, my favorite shops (because I really dont like shopping in general) desert.....very few book stores around me; hardly any yarn stores, and no cross stitch/needlepoint stores. The closest of any of the above are 30 - 40 or more miles! Now that you have talked about the pens, I think you need to include them in orders so we can see what how amazing they are!
I had a friend that annually would bake a gooseberry pie. Yellow, yellow green fruit, but she used red ones. ❤ and the lake lodge we visit has yellow raspberries. Can’t wait to see what you do next. Bananas and cucumbers are technically a berry, also watermelons & pumpkins. lol
Cheers! Sitting on my patio (65 degree here in Wisconsin ) drinking Korbel and seven. Have order several of your market items, waiting aguishly for them to be delivered. You guys are soooo sweet together!
Love all your market patterns this year! I bought several from my LNS, but will be buying more soon. Our shop is reordering the patterns, as she didn't have enough, and other items we will need to join the SAL so as soon as it arrives we will all start stitching away. I saw the pentorial today and it was a hoot! Keep the fun stuff coming! Dottie from SC
I love everything about you fellow Iowans. I am also your age and feel the same way you do. Although if I had to guess your age, I would guess around 40. You look fabulous for 59. I love your new designs. Now to choose what one to do first.
Here on the west coast we have Salmon berries. Salmon berries would fit your colour parameters. Beautiful colour and a delicious berry!! Cheers, Renee.
Howling with laughter. I went through Shoppers Drug Mart and discovered that they had given me a seniors discount. Should I be angry or happy? I was 55. I love the new stitches and thank you for the tutorials
YAY - Thank you for thinking of those of us who are Aida stitchers. I love to stitch, but my eyes are not able to do the finer fabrics. I have ordered some of your designs from my LNS in Australia
Ok. So, I got one of the pens at the Dyeing to Stitch retreat….aint gonna lie, it took me a bit….it was a whole table conversation…team work makes the pens work!!,!,
I’m so happy you’ll have finishing kits-I was just looking on your website yesterday as I’m finishing my Summer Gather Round stitching and realizing I used the designated mat boards to FFO Oh Christmas Three. 🤦♀️
Love your new releases! I didn't realize this but my husband and I were debating whether bittersweet produces berries or fruit, and turns out it produces berries! Why were we debating this? We are trying to attract more species of birds to our yard. Even though they are poisonous to humans, birds love them! Just a little berry trivia for your two. Thanks for your happy hours!
Love your new patterns. I just found out about Sarah’s SAL yesterday. I have the board and the pattern and I’m waiting on the fabric. Just ordered a second piece to see if that one will get here sooner than my first order. It’ll all get used since I hope to stitch all 4. Thanks for saying you’ll be putting out some finishing videos and videos with the specialty stitches. Sometimes the finishing trips me up so it’ll help a lot to see what you do. Will there be some finishing help for the 4 seasons folk board? Wondering what was used to stain the board? It definitely didn’t look like paint.
Cape Berries - - - also called "goldenberries"-are small fruits that are about the size of a grape, perfectly round and are opaque orange in color. Native to Chile & Peru.
I'm looking forward to the SAL! I can't find the Driftwood fabric anywhere. The Fabrics by Stephanie website says that there is a 4 - 6 lead time on orders. It looks like a unique color. It would be helpful if someone could suggest an alternative fabric. I don't have an LNS to see fabrics in person. Thanks!
A lot of shops purchased it at market - check with Shanty Stitchers, A Stitching Shop, Acorns & Threads to name a few. I spoke with Steph today & she is getting linen orders out. If you prefer, I suggest pulling the DMC & a good ol' floss toss!! ❤️
@@HandsOnDesign Thanks so much for the follow up! I ordered some other possibilities today. I just started back stitching a few months ago and don't have a linen stash! How sad is that! I need to work on that ASAP... 🚨 Thanks for your great designs and entertaining videos.
Ok you guys need to put a warning on your channel. I was eating Doritos and snorted them out cause I laughed at your husbands weird hair comment. LOL. Do not eat doritos and soda while watching you both. You guys are a hoot. Love your designs. I finished the Irish block a few weeks ago. I am using it all year long as I am almost all Irish. I love your block designs. I am going to purchase the dog one next . ..Kathy
I love your berry finishing. Thanks for making something so dang cute so affordable. I feel like you guys are very conscientious about people’s financial situations. Thanks again.
Loving everything on this episode! And you’re only as old as you feel. You both have a great spirit and bring so much to the community. Thank you!
Congratulations on a successful market!! It was so fun to meet you both :) I LOVE the pens - they write so smoothly 😍 Can't wait to see what's coming next!

OMG - I am having those “I am a lot older moments” too, often.
Bren and I totally get the “feeling old” realisation when sitting in on some conversations at the bar at Market😂 In our mind we are still 30 but in reality, not so much 😂 We also don’t tend to be joiners either, so if we are at the bar next year, please feel free to join us. Love your Gather at the Table! Sew cute!
Thank you!
Thanks - this was so fun to watch! I just got the gather wildflowers and will be starting it tomorrow. Yellow berry suggestion - check out yellow raspberries.
I'm so excited to stitch all your new patterns and can't wait for fall & winter releases! Thank you for always keeping us Aida stitcher in mind 😊
Thank you - I'm excited for you all to see the 4 seasons together!
Market sounds like so much fun. Love all the new little rounds. The t-shirts look great but I did think Mr HoD's said "Handsome Designs" on the back at first! He could get a custom one made.
I like it!
So many great charts! I really need 36 hours in the day. Thanks so much for sharing your Market adventure with us. 😊
You are so welcome!
Another fun video from the two of you! Loved hearing about Market and seeing all of your new charts again. I’m super excited to be hosting a SAL for the Spring Folk design! Have fun at your retreat! ❤
Thank YOU Sarah! I can't wait to follow everyone's progress. So glad that you got bitten by the 'specialty stitch' bug last Fall
Love your new releases and thoroughly enjoy watching you and Mr. HOD!
Glad you like them!

Thanks for keeping us happy!
You keep me pretty happy too!
I love all of your market releases. Sounds like a busy but fun time.

Mountain ash trees have beautiful orange berries.
❤️❤️
Love your “happy hour” flosstube. Enjoyed your new designs. Have a great quilt retreat . Safe travels
Thank you - I certainly will!!
I use Frixion pens in my classroom and they use the same mechanism, my student always require a tutorial on how to make it work. Ya'll are so much fun!

I love your new charts thank you. Gooseberries or yellow raspberries would be great. Your berry charts are so cute.
Thank you so much!
Hi! I love Spring Folk! And okay, I know tomatoes aren’t berries, but cherry tomatoes are small, round, and orangy. I think we look so cute on a berry! Just throwin’ it out there 😺

Your new patterns are gorgeous. Sounds like you had a great time at Market. So glad to hear all your positivity. Love your new shirts also!!

I seem to be really leaning into smalls the past number of years. I always have a soft spot for ornaments!
Thank you for all you do for us, I can't wait to stitch and gather my rounds!
Have fun!
You and I have matching owl bags! Can’t wait for the t-shirts!
Yay!! (hoot-hoot!)

It's the things that you just assume you think people will know!! ;)
Love watching your Happy Hours. I'll be doing the spring stitch a long on a lighter fabric, maybe even pink. I also purchased the bee.
Oh - I can't wait to see it on pink!!!
For a yellow colored berry, there is Yellow Raspberry, Goldenberry Gooseberries, and Cloud Berry. For orange, there is Orangeberry and Kumquat, which is more of a citrus.
You guys crack me up.
We try!! ;)
Debra from Joyful Stitching does a beautiful job with her bag and mini’s. Highly recommend them.
She does!

Thank you so much!
Bittersweet would be a beautiful orange berry… mistletoe would also be great for a winter one(since you’re now a winter stitcher😉)
Great idea!
Thank you for the Aida conversions! I know I won’t be a linen stitcher so that is wonderful for me. 😁
I have really noticed a trend of more Aida stitchers - why not, aida is so much nicer now than it was years ago (when it came in 2 colors!)

Great video! I purchased Liberty Pennies and Gather at the Table. I am excited to start stitching! Have a great time at your Girls Weekend! ❤️🪡
Thank you - I will!
Love watching you two! Y’all are so fun! Love all your new charts but am so scared of finishing the rounds!
Finishing rounds is actually easier than squares or rectangles in my book!! Seriously
❤❤❤
❤️
Cheers! Sitting on my patio (65 degree here in Wisconsin ) drinking Korbel and seven.
Have order several of your market items, waiting aguishly for them to be delivered. You guys are soooo sweet together!
Cheers!
❤ I think Mr HOD 'S pay rise should be extra hugs n kisses (including the chocolate kind) daily following his performance review. 😊
Sounds good to me!
In Oregon we have salmonberries. They are orange. Also, they are edible and used to make jam.
I will look into these!
Love all your market patterns this year! I bought several from my LNS, but will be buying more soon. Thank you from my Aida heart. I’m looking forward to doing all 4 seasons…..Is your video going to be on how you prepare the board? Thank you
I have been talking to Chantelle about this!
Thank you 😊
Welcome!
You two are so funny

@HandsOnDesign heck no! You being a celebrity and all! 🥰
A good name could be “gather the rounds” ☺️
Love watching the two of you💝

Bakeapple berries are a golden orange. They are popular in Newfoundland.
Great suggestion!
Cape Berries - - - also called "goldenberries"-are small fruits that are about the size of a grape, perfectly round and are opaque orange in color. Native to Chile & Peru.
Thanks for the suggestions!
Golden Raspberries are yellow 😊
Ooh - yes!
Ack! I need to add more to my Nashville list! And what about gooseberries for tte bext berry?
That has been a popular suggestion!!
bittersweet? not exactly a berry but looks like a berry and beautiful deep orange with a fall vibe
Salmonberries are yellow/orange!! Some are red, but they have a yellow orange variety
Thanks for the suggestion!
Salmon Berries
That's been mentioned a few times. I will have to look them up!
Salmon berries for yellow and gooseberry for orange
Thank you!

I am sorry the sign about your stove is “Never Enough Thyme To “ . Was asking about where to pick up the pattern. Thanks
No prob - I answered your initial question
More to add to my shopping list. Will you please tell me the diameter of Well Rounded - Perennial Pinwheel? TFS.
Ooh - those are 3 different sizes. I will have to check (did I list it on the website?)
@@HandsOnDesign sorry, I did not see any sizes. I tried checking other stores that sell the chart, but no one seems to list it.
I do believe pineapples are officially berries (or strictly, made up of multiple berries)!
I will be checking into this!!
How about an orange glow seaberry
Another one I will have to go look up!
There is a Golden Raspberry.
Yes!!!
Cloudberry for orange/yellow berry
A few have suggested that one - gonna look it up!
⭐️🧵✂️🪡💕
❤️❤️
Where did you get the pattern for “Not Enough Thyme “ above your stove.
That chart is out of print. I can't even remember the designer...maybe Carriage House? I had it on display at my shop years ago
Thanks for letting me know.
Maybe you could make a new design like "Stitching Thyme" or "Stitxh in Thyme".
How about a golden goose berry
That's a good one!
How about bittersweet.
Love bittersweet!
Sorry! Hope you didn't get any Doritos on your stitching!! I just love the 17th - one of my fav blocks!
No thank goodness but had to clean my computer screen,. I did complete the Christmas block from the Jingle Ball and love it also..signed Kathy H.
