My dad had a stroke and can't play guitar anymore. He would always play this so I wanna learn it for his birthday. 😭

@KINGDOMTRADERS💹INDICES he had his stroke years ago. Has not fully recovered mobility in his left side. I'm always greatful for prayers because I believe the prayers and the medical staff saved him and will help him get his mobility back.
Did u end up learning it?
Prayers are sent from my family, keep your faith strong and everything will come together. Gods hardest tests are always for his strongest soldiers. Do not fret everything will be ok.

For awhile i have been trying to learn to play songs and i usually give up in the beginning just about instantly but your teaching and finger placement pictures made it easy and kept me going thank you

For me, I find the best way to do the walk-down of Notes from the: C-Chord to the G-Chord is to use my 2nd finger for both the 4th string and the 5th string; it leaves my hand in the best position to play the G-Chord. Instead of having to move my 2nd finger down a fret and up a string (if I keep the C-Chord-shape), I've already moved it down to the 3rd fret when I played the C-Note on the 5th string (A-string). So now, I only have to move my 2nd finger up a string and it's in position on the 6th string, 3rd fret (G-Note on the E-String )to play the G-Chord.
That is the best acoustic version I’ve seen!! Thank you

Great lesson. If you want to play with the original track, every string has to be down 1 half. You don't have to change any of your patterns or frets, just take the strings down one half.

I add a few notes into it, I guess it's too hard for me to do it without the added note
First lick , I add an E note (D-string, 2nd fret) after the A, B, C
Second lick , I then add a G note (e-string) after the E, D, C
Third lick , I then add a G note (A-string) after the E, D, C
So it's like this:
A, B, C, E Strum-C VVV V/\V (1, 2, 3, And Up, (pluck))
E, D, C, G Strum-G VVV V/\V
E, D, C, G Strum-Am VVV V/\, VVV V/\, VVV V/\

This guitar was purchased to replace another manufacturer's classical guitar. The wood on this guitar has a nice grain. It has very few imperfections. The finish all around is a strong point, it's near flawless. Build quality seems to be good also. It weights quite a bit less than my other classical, but this really allows the top to move, creating decent volume. The action is slightly lower than average height, which is where I prefer. Overall, a solid buy!

Yea this is true I was playing so much yesterday they were almost bleeding.
around 4 minutes, when he is just showing you the picking pattern, could somebody please list which strings he plays and when that string has the chord held on it or not.
I can play regular strumming songs but I'm trying to learn picking x) Thanks to whomever is kind enough to respond :)

I don't know if it's the recording, guitar, or he simple isn't doing it right but this has a lot of variations from how I was taught not chord or note or anything like that it just seems a whole hell of a lot different

+nkonfya download an ad-blocking program for free and you won't see them anymore. I did and they work great. Very easy and totally free.

OK.. awsome video...one thing i tuned my guitar to 440 which is standard tuning. My issue is my G chord sounds higher than yours does at (1:40) when you switch from C to G. please enlighten me thanks.
zoom01119 You should also hold down the e chord woth your pinkybans the b one with your ring. It gives a ring to it.
Anyone have any tips on how to practice using a pick? I can play the song well just using my fingers but I wanna get good with using a pick.
Just practice simple different styles of pick strumming and make sure that it sounds good. Check marty schwartz's videos on youtube, the rest is just pure practice.
