Alex, we are a dealership that has been selling them for about a year. Thus far, we have had very few "come backs", and even in the COVID-19 year, parts have not been a problem. The only real problem has been getting enough units to meet demand. I was pretty concerned about the quality and sustainability, but several dealers I talked to indicated experience just like what we have seen. I think it must make a difference when the owner of the company has a Honda engineering background, and understands what is necessary to provide and support a reasonable quality product. We also sell Honda, so it has been interesting to compare the sales volumes and results. It will be interesting to see how things work over time, but at this point we are fairly convinced that while you get what you pay for, it may still be a pretty good value proposition. Best regards, and keep up the good work!

You can avoid allot of problems with proper maintenance.
No, you are right on, you should always change your oil on a new bike after the first hour of breaking it in, and you should repeat this at least three times to make sure you get all those shavings out once you break in the engine, after that it's every 10 hours of riding, at least that's what I do.

@@mannyferrao1013 I bought a Kayo 125 ATV two years ago for my daughter. I am NOT happy with the purchase. It was way overpriced. It is the exact same engine as the other Chinese brands. I could have paid 1/2 to 1/3 of the price for a TaoTao or Xpro. Kayo is marketed as something better than regular Chinese crap but it is still crap. Out of the box, like all the Chinese crap, it needed an aftermarket carburetor to keep it running. After playing with it for 15 minutes, EVERY TIME, before each use, just to get it started, it ran so lean that it was probably going to overheat and blow up. The power was so weak that I had to re-gear it. It almost climbs moderate hills now but the top end is SLOOOOOOOW. It might be okay for a child less than 60 pounds. It is so bad that my daughter won't even ride it. She prefers my $600 pull start Massimo MB200S mini bike. The Kayo 125 only has about 5 hours on it. It has been sitting for 2 years, a couple days after I bought. I was so embarrassed. I really thought that I bought her something nice. She was the laughing stock of her friends. A sucker is born everyday. Whenever I see it, I get sick to my stomach.
"Pay a little more for a name brand"? KTM twice the price which to me is a bit more than a little more. Used name brand purchase ; you don't know what you're getting , same as KAYO.
Your correct pronunciation of Tao-Tao gives you mucho credibility ! Mr Bighogman said it; I agree having owned 5 of the Chinese dirt bikes since 2004. Pitster Pro 230SC was the best. Apollo 250 was junk. I still have 2 of the Lifan GY-5 street-legal Enduros, they don't compare to a 200cc by Suzuki or Yamaha. ("You get what you pay for"- A. Simmons)
Polaris is made in China and Taiwan. But regardless u can put a 232cc or a lifan( lifan makes the HF predator engines) 200 on a kayo jackal . You can buy a build Gy6 180cc for the kayo storm. New lifan 200cc complete with hardness and carb goes for 700$. Cant beat it.
Run one on my block here in Australia no issues , basic no frills . Mix of gravel grass rocks everything . 5 hours or more each week bargain , one year of use .Mate i am also a 60 year old rider , not a kid but it is good for me.

I guess you are right, I have recently purchased a fox70 for my daughter and after just 6months the chain came off as the cogs and rear axle were not properly aligned. My brother in law adjusted it last week. Other than that though, it has not skipped a beat, and it is thrashed by a 4year old speed demon for hours on end every Saturday and most sundays. I just changed the oil, oil the chain, pressure wash and occasionally tap out the air filter. Great little bike, but I am wondering how long she gets out of it before she breaks it 💁
Is it still running good? Any new issues? I'm considering it for my daughter. Her first. It's between this and crf50 but she prefers the 4 wheels. I prefer 2 so we fighting lol

Well i'm buying a Kayo predator 125 for my son, for his first ATV. I looked everywhere for a used ATV "name brand" and couldn't find anything worth buying. They were either beat the hell out off or they wanted a couple fingers for the price. Found a 85 HONDA FOURTRAX 50. These crazy people wanted 2K$ for it, but it was in nice shape. So I talked to a friend of mine, who's family owns a Harley Dealership, I told him I started looking into these KAYOs. He told me he has 3 of them. Bought 2 for his sons and 1 for himself. Said he never had any problems with them. Still has them he said. He said yeah little things will have to be fixed but as long as u take care of them, like any bike, they'll last a long time. Then I found out my other friend bought his kid a Chinese 110 panther a couple yrs ago, used, and he hasn't had any problems with his. So I figured what the hell, for my kids first ATV that he's probably going to out grow in a few years, why the hell not. Plus it beats spending damn near 4K$ for a ATV that my kid will probably outgrow in a few yrs.
I can tell you that my 2 kayo bull 200cc, purchased brand new and with only 50 miles on both of them, broke down simultaneously on a tame trail ride after about 45 minutes. Both bikes seemed to have overheated, and one of them to the degree that it melted its own heat guard. We were stranded in known bear territory at our family farm. It was super fun!! Luckily I had an ancient honda fourtrax that runs 8 million times better back at our barn and a good tow strap to retrieve one at a time. Again we were going like 15 mph, plotting way points in GPS. This was not a dogging situation or mud immersion, etc. The dealership of course "could not replicate". They did admit in the service dept that "yeah, we find these bikes don't like to be run much longer than 30 minutes at a time"
Dang man that sucks brother. 20 minute intervals is about as long as I run my Jackal. I do believe it gets pretty hot. It’s a FAFO type of thing sounds like u def did that lol
I like how honest you are about these. I agree with everything you've said. I would definitely spend a little more money on a name brand machine....you do get what you pay for.
You get what you paid for is not always the case. If you're buying a $5,000 dirt bike you're buying a $5,000 dirt bike. And $5,000 dollars isn't nothing the way I said. I wouldn't waste $10,000 on anything but a Harley. And if you can buy two $5,000 Chinese dirt bikes. Versus one Japanese dirt bike well who's the idiot. Also this guy knew anything about what he was actually talking about. He would know that the Kayo the Trail Masters and the GPX. Bikes are well worth the money!
Lmfao, you have to be kidding me, saying that we should spend a " little bit " more money and buy a name brand......a little bit more money, you mean a " LOT MORE " money. A new bike from the Japanese are upwards of almost 15K, compared to 4k, that's a big difference in price my friend! 😂👍
Thinking of getting a TD110 for racing. I can for see my self paying 4k for a 110 or 125. An I have no interest in going any bigger. Rather race pit bikes an mini bikes.
i ride my four wheelers too hard an im 11 im getting one of these hopefully this lasts lol if doesn't then im going to get the Polaris Ace question is Kayo good in mud and shit i didn't know this was a Chinese off brand
Just bought a brand new 2020 Kayo 250cc dual sport in Waco, Tx. First bike ever. I live about an hour away from the dealership that I bought it. I’ve had it for about 3 months now and already having problems. It’s making sounds that it didn’t make when I first bought it. Like when I shift or come to stop it clicks and clanks. I’m thinking the chain is loose. I’ve been trying to get that back right axle loosened, but have been unsuccessful. I’m afraid I’m going to strip the bolt. Also the blinkers stopped working. The real pain in the butt is they’re no bike shops that can help me with this and I have no way of transporting the bike. Any tips on how to fix these problems?
We bought a 2021 T2 and the chain popped off on the very first ride. We got the chain back on (mid ride at 8k feet elevation) and then the chain doubled on itself and sheared off the cover plate that is part of the motor. Bike was a total loss.
What do you think about ssr I’m thinking about the ssr300 or 450 I’d love to buy name brand but they’ve lost me with these prices and the used 1s ain’t much better
Avoid these bikes at all cost. We took a chance and bought the 2021 T2 as a beginner dirtbike for my partner. On the first ride the chain dislodged inside the casing on a 35 mile ride. Our local dealership was able to convince Kayo to give us a replacement. Now the replacement bike they gave us won't start. The battery died after one ride and right now it is sitting at our dealer because we can't get it started. I will say that when it runs it is a super powerful engine. The bike handles like a mountain bike with a 230cc engine underneath. It is super light but it does not feel as safe or sturdy like my 2021 CRF 250F. Nothing but problems so far with this bike. We realized that it was not worth it to buy a cheap $3000 bike and now I am nervous whenever we go on long rides. Do yourselves a favor and spend your $3000 on a used Honda.
I disagree with this guys review. I believe it’s assembling errors not manufacturing. I’ve owned a few kayo products. Good bang for buck. They do manufacture their own parts btw, they use to manufacture for a lot of other companies.
Which Kayo 250 is best? Well it depends on what you ride! WE just got off the K2, K4, K6-EFI and the KT250 and they are all SO Different! Check it out: ruclips.net/video/tXna1NqFGVA/видео.html

Quadbike
@@lowkey4465 I have a Jackal 200cc dude it runs like a beast. Runs rides stops amazing. I did change out the carburetor put a better one on & seriously it’s a nice bike
People are asking crazy amounts of money for used ATVs right now. CRAZY $$$$$$ !!! I was looking for some used youth ATV's. $3,000 for a 10 year old 90cc Yamaha Grizzly !!! WTF ?
The market does that to keep the new Chinese bike market on a negative review. If a 2nd hand Japanese bike costs 3k and a brand new Chinese bike costs you 2k then it must be crapy right? They just keep knocking the Chinese brands down. Pisses me off. Buy a kayo, nothing wrong with them.
I have a Kayo td 125, it's been great no problems.
Simmons)
Hahahaha thanks Frederick
Polaris is made in China and Taiwan. But regardless u can put a 232cc or a lifan( lifan makes the HF predator engines) 200 on a kayo jackal . You can buy a build Gy6 180cc for the kayo storm. New lifan 200cc complete with hardness and carb goes for 700$. Cant beat it.
Think the little 125’s are worth getting for a little pit bike backyard track? $1600 for a new bike seems stupid to pass up
Run one on my block here in Australia no issues , basic no frills . Mix of gravel grass rocks everything . 5 hours or more each week bargain , one year of use .Mate i am also a 60 year old rider , not a kid but it is good for me.
Just got one today for a little backyard fun. I’ll let you know how it holds up
Pls be specific, like showing what feature of kayo bull 200 is substandard. Like show and tell !
Entry level. This is how you learn what's good and what's quality
The warranty is a give away it is what it is. 30 days little bike 90 days.full size bikes. If you.wont even stand behind it for a year I will pass indefinitely.
Yuh I just got a brand new kayo 250 r, I ran it first time no problem and now it won’t start. It’s a piece of
you don't know if is a Brand on came for other chineses manufacture, the most or comments are may o may not... assume that this is like all other chinenes brands.... did you really took the time to review on internet any information about your are talking about???
Carlos I dealt with them personally for almost a year, sold and rode them, and even having that much experience it was still unclear who the “real” manufacturer was as they change hands several times from manufacture to dealers, as so many Chinese products do.
Good video. The lone exception to this seems to be GPX. The RUclips reviews of these bikes are pretty good and the customer service is top notch. Same with CSC in California.
@@charlesford485 yeah still in great condition, she did run into a tractor tyre and cracked a small piece of plastic on the fender but yeah! Starts first time every time and the battery surprisingly hasn’t even lost charge - uses it approx 2-3 hours every 2nd Saturday and Sunday.
@@jufrirayyan2584 sounds good thank you 👍🏾
The fact you call them cogs and your BIL had to adjust the chain says yhe issue is you and not the bike.

I know Chinese dirt bikes. Kayo is not a cookie cutter China bikes. They are engineered by a Honda engineer.
I’m looking at buying a few youth quads. Kayo 125 cost 1k and the Yamaha 90 cost 3k. I keep hearing kayo is different then other China brands.
Well, after reading the comments id say the ‘author’ is Damn close, no consistent quality.
Read, it’s right here in the comments.
“Mine was great!”
“Mine was garbage”
Love the Thumbnail 😆
Hahahahaha thanks
My friend picked up a Kayo 230, and on the first ride it died out not even 5 minutes into it. Let it sit a little while, and it started back up.
Also, randomly the electric start and kick start stopped working when the bike was cold. Was able to pop start it and once it was warm, both start functions started working again.
Does legit anybody know wtf could be wrong with the bike? I feel kind of bad, I more or less made him decide to get a Kayo instead of a FB marketplace bike he was looking at 😶
If its the 4 stroke timings off
Can't find any good used name-brand ATVs at a decent price. Almost impossible.
Honda from the 70s Chinese parts 😆 as long as you take care of it it will last
Honda is Japanese
@@bignickaguilar4844 yes indeed Honda is japanese but in regards to my comment Honda no longer produces parts for there 1970 to 1980 motorcycles ,atv etc they are all aftermarket parts made in China you might be lucky enough to get Japanese Honda old stock but that market is very slim
@@stephengalvan7722 yes
this type of bike is for new rider get into the sport , it will do fine with some care ,and light off road , trail ride , i have 1 2023, it does what i do, i have a 110 honda , my son grown out of it , so i bought this one for him to play , but end up i ride it now , he rides my yamaha xt 250, bc the seat little shorter, it has more power than my xt 250, i switch out the carborator with nibbi 30 mm, it can top out 70 mph , seem very solid , time will tell , but this kinda bike very easy to fix and part is cheap
How is the kayo predator 125 honestly my son rides rough and I’m afraid of one falling apart like other Chinese brands have in the past
Loving the content so far!
Thanks Tacos!
I have a kayo AT 125-b
What brand, viscosity and amount of
Transmission fluid does it take?
What's your opinion of the Chinese made MOTO CFORCE ATVs ?
Kid in my neighborhood got a kayo and it broke within a month of buying it.
Kool I saw these in Saipan Mariana Islands.. no dirt bike tho
Mines been badass
Lmfao, you have to be kidding me, saying that we should spend a " little bit " more money and buy a name brand......a little bit more money, you mean a " LOT MORE " money. A new bike from the Japanese are upwards of almost 15K, compared to 4k, that's a big difference in price my friend! 😂👍
I bout a kayo. Simply because I could not find any other 250 to buy in a reasonable price.
What’s better. 125, 150?
Do you know what the top speed for k2 250 kayo
The engineer of kayo worked as an engineer for Honda.
yeah he was basically the main engineer then founded kayo which is honestly more american than chinese
the parts availability is the deal breaker for me. Looks like a great bike otherwise.
The real pain in the butt is they’re no bike shops that can help
me with this and I have no way of transporting the bike. Any tips on how to fix these problems?
Take it to Barger's in Waco
We bought a 2021 T2 and the chain popped off on the very first ride. We got the chain back on (mid ride at 8k feet elevation) and then the chain doubled on itself and sheared off the cover plate that is part of the motor. Bike was a total loss.
What is your opinion of the CFMOTO CForce ATV's ?
Cforce seems to have a decent reputation. Buddy has the 800 and have been trail riding it for awhile. Seems quality
Hard to get parts here in abilene tx.
What do you think about ssr I’m thinking about the ssr300 or 450 I’d love to buy name brand but they’ve lost me with these prices and the used 1s ain’t much better
SSR is very good. Take a chance! I owned an SSR 110 it was very good.
"You can buy it, but its bullshit" Is basically what you sayin 🤣🙏🏿
Do a 300cc sport atv now
Which Kayo 250 is best? Well it depends on what you ride! WE just got off the K2, K4, K6-EFI and the KT250 and they are all SO Different! Check it out: ruclips.net/video/tXna1NqFGVA/видео.html
I received a kayo bull 150cc but have no assembly instructions 😞
This is my first atv..any help?
That's tough Roodney! They usually end up in crates at dealers with little to instruction as well...I always had to just have a tech assemble it. Unfortunately the best I could do is suggest trying to find the instructions online, but this is a tough one!
Where'd you purchase it from Dealerships arent supposed to sell them unassembled
Top brands like ktm and gas gas are made in China, I agree some bikes from China are crapy but most are just as good as their Japanese counter part. Just wish you guys would stop bashing on all their products.
Why are 5k$ new old bikes sold for 3500$ used 2012-14 ,then u have to spend money fixing it u spend 4300$ ,so can someone explain to me how the fuck this bikes depreciate only 1k s in 8 yrs ?
I can't trust certain things in life.
Look at the GPX bikes. A much higher level of quality
Great suggestion, if I can get my hands on any I will review!
Gpx is built in the same factory as kayo
I have a kayo 125 2017

hey man a year later is it still doin good?

How many Kayo’s do you see in professional motocross or gncc in America or abroad? Absolutely 0. Save your money and buy an Austrian or Japanese bike.
