I recently completed CompTIA A+ and CCENT and I have been looking for desktop jobs. However vacancies require Active Directory knowledge which I knew nothing about. I thought I would have to learn Server 2016 to learn what you just simplified. . Thank you
I got the job. Been here for about 3 months now since that interview and I love it. From what I gather. What got me this position is not what I know specifically but how I used what I know in real scenarios. They wanted to hear about that bad experience and how I dealt with it. I went into great detail about what I used, how I used it and in doing so. I was able to exhibit a lot of my personality. I went in detail, I was specific and I didn't drift off into a tangent.
ALIENWARE PRODUCTION good luck some of my members shared the interview questions this might help you and also please share yours so I can add it to this list www.jobskillshare.org/unit/it-career-questions/?id=2477
Wow, this is an awesome video. I do have one question. Immediately after you added the Active Directory Domain Services, it took the server to process Installation (6:32) before you added the role of Domain Controller?
Danish, Thank you so much, you are awesome, your videos rock! this has help me immensely, I was not that comfortable saying if I new how to use it on a job interview, I use it a while ago but was not that sure. Thank you keep up the good work, and may the Supreme being bless you forever.
Hi Michael, most likely yes because it's your personal IT skills but ofcourse if your not sure you may want to run the script by your manager or how ever has more experience to make sure it's not malicious etc, I will never download script from unknown websites thanks
@@utkarshagrawal6060 No, you need to click on "Start Course" if you're using the desktop, it should be on the right top side "Green button". If you're using mobile you will need to scroll down. Hey just wanted to ask, I am a deployment technician who for the most part only performed the physical deployment, sometimes with minor instructions, but, I am looking to move up into more of an SCCM data migration with AD knowledge. Any sort of information you can provide in order to make the move over?
Hi Beren, It's a good skill to have. The only problem its a pretty specific skill to know sccm administration. If you can easily move up and find job that will be nice but as you can see more people are using cloud based technologies. My suggestion: do more hands on practice on sccm with AD but focus more on broader certifications .. like System enginner or System's security engineer.
JOB Skills Share I dunno, this can be very fun work. I've always kind of seen inhouse IT staff as being fairly boring. There is a kind of sense of thrill to going through a business deploying, you get to move around. Sometimes a decision is not always financial, and it isn't all going to the cloud.
To be honest I love deployment stuff my self and I moved to pdq enterprise long time ago :). Sccm maybe this year I might build new server and see if it will take me away from pdq.
JOB Skills Share Often you don't really get the choice to decide, as the role you apply for is already using something, and they stick to what they know most the time.
+iam_koshur A lot of issues are going on with new upgrades, I activated your account but emails might not work for another day or two. It will be ready fully functional soon. Thanks, Danish
Hey so I watched this video and it seems very informative but my question is, is it really that easy to start off? I'm only asking because I came across this video: ruclips.net/video/kDrur7rKPR0/видео.html and it seems to be way more in depth. So do I have to know everything that the other video is teaching or am I good just learning the basics for now just to get my foot in the door?
The video is about Active Directory server roles in Windows Server. This is for someone who is trying to understand AD in depth so they can troubleshoot it. This is something Systems Administrator or maybe someone specially hired AD administration. Entry level Help Desk, IT Support etc they only work on managing AD like adding users, resetting password, computers and so on. hope this helped if you need more please visit jobskillshare.org and I recommend you take free courses if you are looking for entry level IT skills and learning. here is the full course on AD for Entry level IT not systems administratior www.jobskillshare.org/course/active-directory-user-management-2/
I would NOT be recommending that beginner IT trainees be downloading scripts from the web and installing it on their company domain!!! I think you showed a very bad example of what to do there... more like what definitely NOT to do...
