- I watched the movie last Wednesday and now got inspired by some Madoka AMVs and wanted to edit this pretty movie as well. So yesterday, on Sunday, I started editing in the afternoon but then changed the song and edited till I had to sleep. And today when I got home from uni this afternoon I changed a few things. Because me and scene selection is a horrible thing. I am never satisfied.
I hope you are.
Long story short: this is a 1-2 days edit. please be kind to me I know there are mistakes. But despite all that I like it. I am happy I could finally edit sth fitting to this song though; since it's the first song I heard of this band.

This amv, was a huge part of me for several years, and still is, its such a comfort amv for me, The editing is so on point and every single scene just flows perfectly with the song, ill never stop coming back

Still keep coming back to this one, even now that we're finally getting a sequel to Rebellion-I don't know if any other amv comes close tbh. Thus is my favorite Rebellion amv by a huge margin

After all these years, this is still my all time favorite AMV.
I still watch this AMV from time to time. No matter how many times I see it, I still absolutely love the editting. The song matches her entire story arc so good you'd think it was made for her.

Honestly Shaft put the perfect amount of Shaft-style animation into this movie
AMVs with pacing and movements set to a beat like this locked in a core part of how I do storyboards in my head. The downside is the execution is a storyboard with blob figures, and I’m usually pretty disappointed the execution isn’t like this 😂

Fantastic has an amazing feel to it the music choice gives it that action feel but also makes it feel smooth so it still fits the scenes. The song was a perfect fit

It's weird; the first time I watched this AMV, I didn't actually really like it. I put it on my AMVs playlist because there were almost no other decent Hangyaku no Monogatari AMVs at the time. Then I came back to it a few weeks later, and now I just can't stop rewatching it. What was I thinking back then?

I... I feel so -moved- The imagery is so pretty... I can't even... I also love all of the religious images... especially the obvious Madoka-cross. Which needs to be a meme. It made me giggle, even though this is supposed to be serious. I love it anyway, though. :)

CandyVampire Queens Why do you hate Rebellion? It was so good.
Queen CaraSlays Madoka's wish was ripped away from her. Homura was just about to be saved. Witches weren't supposed to exist anymore. It turned a really beautiful deconstruction of the genre into something thats only purpose was shock value. It tured Homura into a highly dislikable character, made her previous character development void and turned Madoka back into a helpless girl in Homura's bird cage. Homura STILL suffers even though she got what she wanted. Just a giant pointless depressing ending compared to ep 12.
