I grew up two streets from Charlies Grandmas house, and we hung out several times growing up in Joliet IL. As a drummer I heard him practicing in the sun room on the side of her garage and I went over and he was very nice to me, and asked what kind of music I was practicing on, I told him Greek music I had recorded at my Greek church during a dance in the downstairs hall at the church that year, and I was learning to play drums for Greek dance music. Charlie immediately asked me to go get the cassette tape I had at home, so I did and when I played it for him he was very interested in the music, and well that was before he knew Yianni, but later I saw him play in local bars with Chameleon, with Yianni playing keys in that rock/pop band. They were very good doing mostly originals, but the best part of Chameleons shows back then was when Charlie and Yianni would play a drum keys solo. Never forget seeing that in a small club in the town that Charlie and I grew up in, Yianni met Charlie at the University of Minnesota, and afterwards lived in Joliet for awhile.

(grew up on the east side between Cass and Jackson - born at Silver Cross Hospital) and my cousin - Mark Anthony was the singer of Chameleon and even though I was a very young teenager - still have (unopened) all four of their albums! Even though he and Yanni and Charlie broke up years ago - Mark Anthony then went on to play grand piano for the Disney cruise ship that went back and forth to Japan. He then went to California and still to this day works with a company who provides on stage openings for several presidents - Oprah and many celebrities! Small world! Hope to chat with you sometime! Charlie could really make those drums talk!!!! he was absolutely amazing i could watch him all day long and not get tired of it he gets better and better with age!!! i like the vintage Ludwig drumset !!!
One thing I have noticed having been a fan for many years and have been to many of Yanni's concerts is that Yanni is very generous on stage. He gives his musicians opportunities to show their talents.
Have got to love some Charlie Adams. Expert timekeeper. And from the drum solo at Acropolis (and possibly before) he's shown that he's got some great talent. Yanni definitely knows how to partner with people of talent.

Of all the Marching Seasons out there, this one have the best opening, so dynamic, entertaining and rich. Charlie Adams plays a couple of cymbal hits adding tension to the opening then resolves it with a single powerful cymbal hit in unison with Yanni’s piano.
