I see your comments on almost every video I watch, from videos from The Cut, to one about Michael B Jordan, and more. I don’t know if it’s because the content of channel revolves around medicine, and as a freshman pre med students I watch such videos obsessively. But I’m happy to have stumbled upon your channel.
Jemima Janvier I just watch an inhuman amount of RUclips 😂. Thank you! The med journey is long and tough, but you’ll get there if you put in the work. Good luck, and lmk if you need help with anything!
Don't know how you don't have more subs, all your videos are informative and well made with good camera skills/editing. Keep up the great work man love your advice!
Such a wonderful lady! If only more dr‘s were like her. I have had over 30 general anaesthetics and anaesthetists are some of the best people I’ve met in the medical industry.
She’s a great person and a great doctor! Come to think of it, every other anesthesiologist I’ve met has been amazing as well. A great group of people, I’d agree.
Adnan A and Dr. Bennett, this is one of the best interviews ever put forth. When we finished our accident reports and investigations it then is handled by the state medical especially fatalities but it just begins for the physicians. Same is true with a patient being admitted. Doc Bennett explains in detail the medical aspect and the struggle of how grueling being a doctor can be. We learned so much ,good job to both of you.
Thank you for watching! I believe she dropped a few great tips in the video that are helpful. Good step scores, solid letters, subI’s/away rotations at spots you’d like to go to especially if you can get a letter from them, relevant research, and solid EC’s as icing on the cake are all helpful.
In Canada, we are trying to cut cost of health care by providing home care services. Sending a nurse to a client's house reduces the cost tremendously instead of having them going to hospital for minor procedures like removal of catheters......
Thank you for making this video Adnan. It answered a lot of my questions about D.O. programs. I see you commenting in almost every medical-related youtube channel, so I decided to look at your channel. Great content 👍I Subscribed! You deserve more subscribers tbh. Your advertising game is strong
Adnan A no I am asking as an IMG its one of the competitive branches to match into So other step scores What else should you do? If i am an anesthesiologist in my home country How much difference does it make to get residency ? And does doing non accredited anesthesia fellowships help or research fellowships or just USCE with observerships? What path to follow with that regard? Any IMG anesthesia residency stories that you know?
The ones I have talked to mostly discussed doing really well on the USMLE step exams. I can ask about other tips they had when I run into them in the future.

There is no such thing as a nurse Anesthesiologist. They are CRNAs. Anesthesiologist are physicians.
This is a gem Adnan, thanks for this
Thank you Maka, hope life is good!
Thank you so much for doing this!
I was wondering if Dr. Bennett had some interview tips for anesthesia residency applicants?
Thank you for watching! I believe she dropped a few great tips in the video that are helpful. Good step scores, solid letters, subI’s/away rotations at spots you’d like to go to especially if you can get a letter from them, relevant research, and solid EC’s as icing on the cake are all helpful.

Martine Salomon That sounds like a great idea to reduce some of the inflow into hospitals and clinics!
Amazing content man. You inspire me of doing something similar since Im trying to figure what I want to do in the near future.
Thank you!
Need to match the interviewers energy but otherwise a good interview
Mohamed Habad Thank you!
She's probably tired???? Being a doctor is a lot of hrs in a day. She took at least an hr out of her day and being frank
@@SteveVi0lence he's probably talking about Adnan
I love the girl being interviewed! And the honesty! All she has to do is work on filler words for example uh,umm, ahhh
Marquiez Jennings Dr. B is great, I agree!

17:57 Not ever considering doing anesthesia should be a prerequisite for being admitted into an anesthesia residency.
😂😂😂
Great interview. Well organized.
Thank you!!!
I want to be one one day!!
Melanie Martinez Good luck- you got this 🙌
Nice video. Everyone loves surgery but not that long work hours and night shifts unexpected call etc. Work life balance is not balanced.
Varsha Scooby Thanks! Yeah, that’s true. Hours are demanding in medicine in general, and surgery is even worse.
Kordell Farmer Anesthesiologists are specialized doctors :)
Kordell Farmer Np, I’m not planning on becoming one, but time will tell.
Thank you for this!
mel paredes No problem!
Do one video on pathologists 🙏🏾
Varsha Scooby I’m working on it ;)

Great informative interview! Do you know if Dr.Bennett currently works at UC Davis or has she transferred to a university in Florida ?
Thank you! I’m not sure, I haven’t talked to her in a while, sorry.

Great video!!!
Ruben Ramirez Thank you, Ruben!

Nuvia Hernandez it’s a special anesthesiology ambience

IMG anesthesia residency! For an anesthesiologist from India?
What would be the right path to pursue?
I’m not sure what stage you are at, but you’d have to take the USMLE STEP exams and apply through ERAS for the match.
Is that what you’re asking?
Adnan A no
I am asking as an IMG its one of the competitive branches to match into
So other step scores
What else should you do?
If i am an anesthesiologist in my home country
How much difference does it make to get residency ?
And does doing non accredited anesthesia fellowships help or research fellowships or just USCE with observerships?
What path to follow with that regard?
Any IMG anesthesia residency stories that you know?
The ones I have talked to mostly discussed doing really well on the USMLE step exams. I can ask about other tips they had when I run into them in the future.
Adnan A thank would be lovely! Thank you. How can i connect with you about that later?
Interview a Psychiatrist pleaseeeew
Malli’s World I interviewed a clinical psychologist but I thought it would be better to put up a video of a psychiatrist. Tldr: I’m working on it! :)
Neurologist, perhaps?
Working on it :)
Do you have a snap?
Itty Bitty Nah, I’m an old man lol.
Dermatologist please :)
psiloveme I just interviewed one last week- I’ll try to edit it soon!
Talk louder, man. It's quite hard to hear your voice
I think the audio levels were off- I’ll work on them!
I heard anesthesio was supposed to be easy
nothin in med is easy lol
It is a road specialty, but it’s still a lot of work, and Dr. B does a lot of other things besides basic anesthesiology work
Definitely easier than general surgery. She also has given up general surgery for anesthesiology for that reason.
she looks like she just came out of surgery
She looks like a pirate xD
Nive Yoga Lol, iirc she came out of the operating room or a resident simulation a little before this.
