I first heard this in 1971. And I must have heard this hundreds of times since, Yet I will Never, Never Ever Ever Ever Tire of This Timeless Classic or The Stones!! How about you?
Me and a couple of my hooligan friends used to sleep out in the summer in a pup tent. Back then Detroit radio used to 'spotlight an album, beginning at 12 midnight. We ran a 200 foot extension cord from the house to the tent with a radio..Many nights they'd pick a Stones album, and that's when I fell in love with the riff in this song, among many others. This was about 1974, so I was around 12 years old.
This song takes me back laying in bed listening to this album on repeat with my first love who is no longer with us. Those days when u were a teenager before u became an adult & it all was on ur shoulders. Sometimes I wish I could go back there again. I will always love this song & the Stones. .
My vote for the Stones' all time best song. Richards laying down that great opening riff, Bobby Keyes on sax, Taylor with a spine chilling lead solo. It's got it all!

Yeah, it sounds like he recorded it using the same amp Dave Davies used for “You Really Got Me”!! And if you know the story behind that amp, you’ll know what I’m on about!
Lyrics only for half of the song...the rest is this great, Jazz, Blues and Rock...instrumental that takes you someplace else...a lot of this album is that way. Know what I mean?

Growing up in East los angeles in the early 90s these songs weren't heard or people around the neighborhood didn't bother listening to rock music until I got into skateboarding these skateboarding videos had all different type of music so that's how I ended up liking rock n roll and the rest is history to punk rock and metalcore is way I usually listen too.
I love this song. Play it over and over in my head., especially the first 2 1/2 minutes. This song played in season 2 of Jack Ryan when the 4 man military team parachuted out of a military transport plane in Venezuela. That scene is so memorable because this song was played during that scene. The producers got it right!!! Outstanding 👏
So, once they pulled that shit, I started doin' my own things in Vegas nobody ever thought of doin'. To keep an eye on things, I brought in my kid brother Dominick... and some desperadoes from back home and started knockin' over high rollers, casino bosses, bookmakers, anybody, right here in town. I had a good fuckin' crew goin' for me, I'll tell you that.
"Are we good? Yeah, we're good. We're beautiful. We're perfect. This is grade-A. 100% pure Colombian cocaine, ladies and gentlemen. Disco shit. Pure as the driven snow. My name is George Jung..."
Every time I hear this song I think of that classic art, the picture of Jesus standing at the door that we’ve all seen a thousand times....and I think Cant you hear Him knocking?😆
I don't think they could have used a better song for the opening of BLOW. With that said...I know in the song Mick is locked out of a house but "Throw me down the KEYS I think is still a subtle drug reference.
Been listening to the stones since the late 70's and still rocking with them! Especially seeing my name is Keith Richards🤘😎and yes my parents were stones fans too!
Love the Wes Montgomery style on the back up guitar under Bobby's solo. The jazz feel uplifts and complements the horn, then they trade at the end. Always loved it and I am not the instrumental type, preferring the singing and lyric part of the song. Cant forget Charlie on the drums, either. Thanks Charles, we will miss you.
was so lucky to see lots of great artists in many types of venues, but the STONES in '75 at the LA FORUM, great floor seats, never witnessed anything like it, the crowd went, well there are no words to explain such a thing, it's only R&R but i like it
this song particular with the riffs and instruments could of gone on for another 20 or 30 minutes and i wouldent of mind what a brilliant and beautiful sounding song
Allways been my favorite group....like if I was on a desert island, and could have one group/singer to listen too while stranded there, it would be the Rolling Stones.... Yep.
I’m only 37 and I’m black from Brooklyn but BLOW is my favorite movie!!!! And even tho I never did coke if I did I would have to be listening to this song ,, seems like the best song to do coke to,,, with that being said ima go home and smoke some of this strong ass hash oil,,, dipped in keef with some nice kush marijuana!!!!!!

Debatable yes but still MY favorite

Great song? Yes!! Without a shred of doubt. But the best Rolling Stones song and my personal favorite is Time Waits for One.

This tune really showcases Keith Richard's playing. He one of the best accompanists in rock music. Great sound too.

And attending multiple shows this tour.

ME! ♡
I just love that dirty fartbox distortion sound of Keith Richard's guitar on the opening riff.
One of the best riffs in rock history
Me too. His guitar is tuned to open G for the intro and Keith is like a god in that tuning.
Isn't it throughout the whole song ? I love that raspy sound too .

The hay days of Keith.
What a dumb bitch lyrics for half the song making it seem ad if it's incomplete then proceeds to say the rest of the song is instrumental... lol
So many bands covered them its ridiculous.. they defined an era
Yes, yes... I do. I was 18 then and was having the time of my life. I just don't remember much - except the music, girls and fast cars.
