    맛있게 드세요 is more commonly used in our household. ^^

      +chanel328 oh, yes. thanks for your comment. 드세요. 드시다. is honorific way to say 먹어요. 먹다.

    if i want to be specific, and the person is going to eat breakfast, can i say 아짐 식사 맛있게 해 instead of just 식사 맛있게 해 ?

    can you explain the purpose of 게 in that sentience?

    • @bclaytz
      @bclaytz 9 лет назад

      You can add -게 to adjectives to make them into adverbs. Doesn't always work though, but it's a pretty good rule of thumb.
      So 맛있다 means 'to be tasty' - adding -게 to it transforms it to 맛있게 'tastily' :)
      So the sentence 식사 맛있게 하세요 literally means 'Eat your meal tastily'

    how about "mashike mogu se yo" or "mashike deu se yo"?

    • @locloverl

      Sumirah Misau many of Korean said mashike mogu se yo still. But it’s not really good expression on grammar. You should say “mashike deu se yo”. It’s polite expression.

    the "m" sound you make when saying "Mat" sounds almost like a "B"? I'm trying to mimic your pronunciation by going "Bm" - almost like I have a cold (I don't mean to be insulting - I actually think it sounds cute) but it's nasally pronounced right?

      Be ready to hear N instead of D
      You have to get used to it apparently. I also fail to distinguish between those sounds only based on hearing

      +Zinouweel Pret I'm so confused because she's written the words as they 'sound' in english. But that doesn't sound like an "m" sound at all...

      +Ninkopi Oh.. I also heard that some of my friends told me that ㅁ sounds like 'B' .. I don't know why but ... I think that's because when you open your mouth to make the sound 'M' or'ㅁ', opening the mouth and air going out, 'b' sound is also made. My friend told me 맥주 sounds like back ju. but Mat and Bat sound totally different.

      +Yoolim Lee (이유림) That's so interesting! I'm happy I'm not the only one hearing this :) But it's pronounced from the nose - like prolyps I think, maybe that's why... That sounds really insulting but I think it sounds cute :)

      +Ninkopi well check that if you feel the same thing from other Koreans, or maybe that's my problem haha.
