Over the past few weeks, we have been travelling across Java, Indonesia, on some of the world's best trains! We started our journey in the capital, Jakarta, where we had our first welcoming embrace of
Indonesia - from the friendly people to the fantastic food that you can smell way before you can see it. We then made our way East on the FIRST high-speed rail of the Southern Hemisphere to Indonesia's 4th biggest city, Bandung. We continued our trip towards Yogyakarta on the most scening panoramic trip which didn't just leave us amazed, but also relaxed and fed! We finish our trip across Java in Surabaya, which we reached by the most luxurious train we have ever been on: the compartment suite. In our own private compartment rooms, we eat delicious Indonesian food as we travel across its green and luscious landscape. Safe to say that this is a trip to remember!

Hi! a local here. If you are planning to go to Jakarta again, instead of going up to the National Monument which will take hours to queue and the view is mid, you can go to the nearby building of the National Library. It has a view deck and a lounge on top, it's free, and with unlimited time 😄the view is 10x better. But don't wear shorts there since yeah it's a formal place anyway.

The more I watch your videos, the more I feel that I gotta admit how clever Adriana in selecting the dictions properly for the audience to understand what she's trying to describe & explain in an efficient way without losing her charm.
She makes every scene fascinating to watch (at times her English sounds even far better than Dylan though he is from the UK 😁).
However on the other side she still needs Dylan to taste the food outside her reach, such as meat, cheese & perhaps innards (?). She also needs him to balance her stamina whenever necessary.
I just hope both of you stay committed to each other & tie the knot in near future. You both are literally inseparable 👣👣

If you want more practical, when you landed in jakarta ,dont use bus or taxi and gojek/grab, u can go to Kalayang ,from Terminal 1,2 and 3 Soekarno Hatta Airport and using Airport Train, its a nice train and efficient journey, bcs on time and no traffic jam. And you can go directly to central city of jakarta. Lets try KA Bandara next time.

Next trip from Soekarno Hatta to Jakartas down town the best way are by airport train. From the terminal 3 by free feeder skytrain to the airport station. It's avoiding the traffic jam and also more faster and of course quite cheap.

Go to Ambarawa in Central Java there is a vintage train for tourist attraction, you can ride a vintage train moves not too fast, without windows, with an old black locomotive from 18 century that still using burn woods or carcoal for fuel.

Tbh when you're in Yogyakarta you definitely should visit Mount Merapi and the mountanious ranges surrounding it. Breathtaking views and unique landscape awaits, many foreign tourist i brought there is coming back several times to visit Javanese mountainous range, especially in the middle part of Java (Yogyakarta, Temanggung, Magelang, etc.). They said it's different than typical mountains in Europe. But if you want a tropical island getaway feelings, try Karimunjawa National Park. Cheers 🍻
Great and informative video. Some additonal notes to you and other viewers: 1) If you take the Whoosh, or any train under KAI, and get the First Class setas - or similar clase (like the Yogya - Surabaya compartment train) , you are entitled to the Lunge at the train station. Come an hour or two early and enjoy the Lounge; and 2) When taking the Whoosh, you can get a ticket to the Padalarang station, which is the station before the Tehal Luar - end of the line - station, and get a feeder train (free, included with your Whossh ticket price) to the (Central) Bandung Train Station. This would have been more convinient for you.

Some tips for public transportation, buy e-money or flazz card it’s more convenient than the card you’re using. You could buy it in any convenience store (indomaret, alfamart, lawson, etc). It’s easier to top up and you can use it for bus, train, or any public transportation that uses a card to pay😊

If you use whoosh from Jakarta to Bandung, you can get off at Padalarang station and from there take the feeder train to Bandung (the price is inclusive) so don't use cab (longer on the way and have to pay extra too). Nice complete video!

Yes right, but it would be more little time in Whoosh 😊. But it would be faster to be arrived in Bandung. It takes 30 min from Halim sta. to Padalarang sta. And another 20-30 min from Padalarang sta. to Bandung sta. by feeder train. Your hotel is not far from Bandung Station and will save more money using taxi or gocar/grabcar.

1:20:46 - Goreng means Fried. So it's basically Fried Rice (Nasi Goreng) and Fried Noodle (Mie Goreng).
As for the variations of Nasi Goreng in Street Food stalls, you usually will see Nasi Goreng with Ayam/chicken, Sapi/beef, Kambing/lamb or Nasi Goreng Komplit (mix of everything) and sometimes even Nasi Goreng Seafood.
