In georgia they aren't even title youve got 2 choices register it as a homemade trailer which the process sounds similar to here as what you're describing except they only require that you "permanently affix " the homemade trailer ID tag which becomes the VIN for the trailer in georgia the other alternative if you buy a trailer in georgia that was made by a manufacturer then you just need a bill of sale with the VIN on it
Hey, Thanks a million for making this video. It's been the most helpful resource I've found so far for getting some paperwork for our box trailer. Quick question, when I go to the DMV (I'm assuming it'd be the title office?) and ask for the "homemade trailer title registration form", are they going to need any details from me at that time? Like measurements, color, etc? And also, does it cost anything at that time or do I pay once they inspect the trailer? Thanks, just trying to make sure I have all my ducks in a row and bring enough money.
You just made that video worth making, i like to help people. Yes go to your license plate office, they should also handle title work. I dont remember the form costing anything. Its a blank form and they will print a serial number on it for you to stamp. I have been asked dimensions, i also havent been asked, and was told to fill out at home.
Yes. The license and theft agent will inspect it before signing your paper to be turn into the plate people. My opinion they are just making sure it is road worthy.

If i remeber correctly you pay regular title fees after it is inspected
