Riviera Petals is very much like the signature scent at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan. For sentimental reasons, I'm very partial to this lovely new candle from BBW! Love it!

I actually much prefer the design aesthetic of the Lilac candle to either of the more expensive ones. The lid is very pretty (I keep the pretty lids and reuse them), and I like that the glass is clear so that the color of the candle and the ambiance of the flame can be seen. The decal style sticker of the lilacs is very pretty and cottagecore. $33 for a simple glass lid BBW candle is highway robbery imo lol.

Really enjoyed your hauls and reviews Joshua! Am loving Rivera Petals and of course Fresh Bamboo will always be on my top 5 list! Is there a difference between White Gardenia versus Rainforest Gardenia? Thank you!!

I bought Santorini Coast yesterday & agree with your assessment. I know we both love that almond flower note & I actually love the Fresh Coconut & Cotton scent in the body care.
I prefer Kringle’s lilac candle as it’s not as powdery to my nose. Agree with BBW getting wild with some of their pricing.

I'm burning Santorini Coast...its a little bit sweeter on burning, I love coconut so I love it😆 Also burning the single wick of Fresh Mint and Tea Tree, awesome in my small bathroom...got 6 3 wicks because I love the scent and I have nothing like it in my collection. Thank you for your first impressions!

I appreciate your thoughts on Flower Cart. I was wondering if it’s similar to 2011 Flower Shop. The price seems steep for pretty & non functional lids. 🙄 Fresh Mint & Tea Tree single wick is a nice herbal blend. IMO, the Spring sleeper scent: Café in Venice. If it came in a 3 wick, that would be amazing. Thanks, Josh. ☘️

I love Fresh Cut Lilacs and WHite Gardenia…very apartment filling to my sniffer. I also have the Riviera Petals and Driftwood Waves. I really enjoy them too. I got the blue glass lid for it but I was fortunate to have one of the $12.95 candle stores and I had a 25% coupon so it was less than ten dollars…score right? I heard they’re going to start selling the glass lids separately. I will just save the blue lid and us it with other candles that it will look good with until gone. I do like all the lids but can’t afford all of anything so sales are best for me. I just got the scents I wanted that day and the results are savings for sure! I had to pay for parking to get to this fancy mall though. It’s in an elite part of Denver but I picked the right area to park and was in an out in less time than other store stops.

Hi Josh. So you are an educator. What do you teach?
I have to disagree with your assessment of Fresh Bamboo smelling like "wild sweet bamboo". Bamboo does not smell sweet. Nor does it smell sharp. Bamboo has barely any scent at all. It smells slightly woody. Because it is a wood. Not green, not sharp, not fresh. What you are smelling is Hydroxyisohexyl-3-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde better known as HICC or Lyral - a lily of the valley odorant. Also of note in Fresh Bamboo is the famous chemical Hydroxycitronellal - purportedly the first realistic lily of the valley note finding fame in Christian Dior's Diorissimo in the mid 1950's. Both lyral and hydroxy reproduce the sharp, green floral note in Fresh Bamboo which is a classic and strong lily of the valley. Lily of the valley is a sharp green scent. It barely resembles a flower at all. It is often added to fresh fragrances to impart a sharp, green, sometimes watery. note. It is now restricted in leave on products but in home fragrance it has few to no restrictions. This is why you will no longer find Hydroxyctronelol in Diorissimo. There are other LOTV replacers but none as good as Hydroxy or Lyral. If you like Fresh Bamboo I hope you will seek out other LOTV scents. They are delightfully refreshing and perfect for spring and summer.
