This year marks the centennial anniversary of the one and only NHL team to ever exist in Hamilton. They became the first NHL team to accomplish something that no other team had ever done before unfortunately it might’ve cost the city their only NHL team.

Many years ago the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs had a tribute game for the Tigers. There was an elderly gentleman in the audience wearing an old Tigers jersey, but it was for a Hamilton junior team he'd played for during the 1930s (I believe) and as I remember it was almost identical to a NHL Tigers jersey (the Tiger head one, I think).

Move the Panthers to Hamilton. It could def work. In Swedish hockey there's an elite team from Leksand. The city is tiny, only like 5k+ residents. But since the hockey interest there is huge, they averaging more attendance than people living in the city. Go figure.

No . There is no NHL team coming to Hamilton . If there is no team in the east of Canada which has millions of fans. There will be no NHL team 1h from Toronto & 1 h from buffalo. Sorry Hamilton.

Shoulda given us the yotes when we wanted em but instead Gary prolonged their failure instead of moving them to a market that would adopt them and actually have more than 100 people in attendance.
