2:30 This is straight facts. As someone also from Missouri, tornado watches are largely ignored because it’s just “that time of year” and most of the time they’re not too big a deal. There’s only 1-2 per year that actually wreck shit up, out of a period of nearly 4 months. Frankly, storm-watching has a pretty extensive hobby following here, and people will literally sit on their porch and watch them if they’re far enough away. I’ve done it myself a few times. I wouldn’t say complacency, more like desensitization
You can't follow birds to find water, but if you find land animals they are usually near water or if you follow their tracks. Be careful though, animals can be very dangerous.
Yes, paint chips, the attic cotton candy looking stuff in the attic of old houses, and the shiny, silvery, candy inside old thermometers, all taste good. The funny thing is, people are telling me that it is dangers to eat these things. But, these goodies have not hurt me in the slightest. In fact, I have had my job cleaning port-o-pot portable latrines for almost 25 years now. If these delicious sweets had bad effects on me, I would have been fired long ago.
@@indridcold8433 911 is International. Usually u can reach emergency with any emergency number across the globe, since in those situations you’re more likely to not think straight
That fact about 911 working regardless of whether or not you have a phone plan is true I had to call the police multiple times because of domestic violence situations in my early teens and the only phone I had was an old flip phone that a friend gave me as a joke. When I called 911 it worked
Andddd ok so the person who said don't eat mushrooms..yes! don't do that...but then they said beeries as a thing to eat...unless you know what to eat for either...don't.
I live in New Zealand. Partner called 911 out of force of habit when someone broke into our house (she's born and raised in America) She was advised to get out the house and call 111.
Some tires are conductive to prevent static buildup...they don't conduct electricity well, more or less a rolling resistor, but they're not insulators.
Don't follow a river in mountainous regions because you will fall into a place where you will not be able to go up or down and it will be difficult for rescuers to find you. You will be most likely dealing with a broken bone at that point as well. When you realize that you are lost, just stay where you are and wait for SAR to find you.
I don't know if this is pertinent anymore, but a lot of ppl don't know you can call 911 from a payphone even if you didn't have any money. I have met so many people who said they couldn't call 911 because they didn't have a quarter! Always try 911! Don't assume it won't work!
First.. over pass good idea giving it is the kind that has a cubie hole in the top, wind tunnel yes clam place also.. two first thing get shelter and trap holes around it for breakfast.. second find water then find food.. and if u see a animal eating. Kill the animal
There’s a common idea that using clean tampons to plug up wounds is a great survival tactic but it’s not a myth because it actually works. Medics in war zones have bullet plugs that are essentially tampons and I believe tampons were originally created to treat wounds and not periods

They finally figured out what it is about grapes that harms dogs. It's the tartaric acid.

911 didn't work for us during the Rogers outage because Rogers couldn't switch us over to their competitors for emergency calls.
911 is North American. UK uses 999.
