      Winner of a video, been searching for "how to improve my public speaking skills" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Ganlizabetharn Glorious Gratification - (do a google search ) ? It is a good one off product for discovering how to master public speaking minus the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my m8 got cool results with it.

      Kudos for the Video! Excuse me for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Tansaiah Voiceless Transcendence (google it)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for getting free online traffic and make money minus the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my mate at very last got amazing results with it.

    All excellent tips, though I differ with you on #8.I believe purposeful movement is far better than simply planting one's feet and staying put. Certainly weaving and pacing back and forth should be avoided at all costs; however, purposeful movement is, in my opinion, far superior. If one has a time frame, the presenter can stage right as the past, stage center as the present, and stage left as the future. Also, it will allow the presenter to converse directly with individuals in the audience.

    Most excellent. A great compilation of things to remember for a great presentation. One point of clarity: I understand the "pacing" a speaker may exhibit. If one is faced with a larger audience, I have a technique for walking across a crowd. I don't want to appear rigid and stay in one spot. I will walk with deliberation from one point to another to bring home my presentation to one side to another.

    • @RachelWillisCoach
      @RachelWillisCoach  5 лет назад +1

      Thanks Randy! Great point on the stage movements with a bigger audience. Moving with purpose as you've done before is a great way to change pace/tone of your presentation and works really well. It's that prowling around for no reason that is bad news :) It would be great to have you in my new FB grpup, here is the link if you'd like to join - facebook.com/groups/PublicSpeakingTrainingTips/

      Rachel, it also helps to walk off a little nervous energy. My last speech was in a room full of the public attending a local Memorial Day presentation (well actually my last speech was last Friday in front of elementary school kids here in Hanoi. After speaking those kids clamored all over me! Kids just make speaking fun!). There were two speakers before me who spoke to the audience from the podium. I sensed a different approach. When it was my turn to speak, I walked up to the podium, gave my greetings, and announced that I choose to step down to connect with the crowd. That was what I was comfortable with because I wanted to bring home the message. Afterwards, an older gentleman told me how he was impressed with my method personalizing my message that seem to connect with the people - not facts, nor figures, just a heart-felt talk to those who lost loved ones. Thanks.

    What a thoroughly good presentation. Enthusiasm and being yourself and researching your subject are very important. A person who is enthusiastic triggers a good response from listeners. I commend the author/authors of this tutorial as it is relevant, concise and very well put together. Rob from Adelaide.

      Thanks Rob, its an oldie but a goodie, and yes we spent a long time putting it together. 8 years later and a lot more experience means I've got loads more to deliver to the channel. I've recently re-started and am uploading new content a couple of times a week. Please do check out my new videos and let me know your thoughts 👍

    Thanks, glad you like video! We agree it's so hard to get presenters to simplify their material, but when they actually do you get such a better outcome :)
