- A small section of stand at Dutch top-flight club NEC Nijmegen's Goffert Stadium collapsed as fans of visiting Vitesse Arnhem celebrated their team's 1-0 victory. There were no reports of any injuries.
Arnhem players were celebrating on the pitch in front of their fans when the lowest section of the stand collapsed. About 35 people were standing on the section that was affected.
One player put his hands on his head when it happened before other players punched the air when it became apparent that nobody had been hurt.
Fans quickly clambered upwards, away from the affected part of the stand.
NEC director Wilco van Schaik told Dutch broadcaster NOS that, as far as he knew, nobody was injured. “There was a container under the stand and that prevented anything more serious,” he said.

Good to see the stadium officials were "on it!"
This is terrifyingly wholesome
Football fans always make me smile and happy.....they get soo passionate bout the game and their team and i love seeing passionate people and the fact they was still cheering whilst falling and then helping each other shows that passion that fans hold
They're not passionate about football. No one cares about the game, its just a reason to get out and get drunk start fights do vandalism and scream like crazy
@@Ajdasiibishvekot its actually only a minority of fans that are like that, yes there are fans that are violent pricks that do just go nd get drunk nd fight people from the rival team BUT thats like most team sports really. Its literally the minority ruin it for the majority, meaning a handful of fans that are violent drunks give the the peaceful passionate fans a bad name
@@justste711 I dont agree, I've been a football fan/hooligan/ultras whatever you want to call it for 10 years in thr balkans before I realized it's so dumb. Football fans that admire different teams fighting each other just because 😂
@@Ajdasiibishvekot well thats why you hve the opinio you have, you called urself it....your football hooligan, the group of "fans" tht do just want to drink and fight each other. Thats not to say your still like that or even a violent person i general....just saying that because you went to games for that reason you was around people wanting to do the same, i myself have been going to games for about 4 5years nd the majority of people iv been around whilst there just wanna support their teams and have a good day out and also have football hooligan mates that go to games for fights. If thats how you supporr ur team by punching the rival fans then cool swing for ya life cos there are people there for that....most just wanna watch the game and have a good day though. Iv been to games between tottenham and arsenal nd seen some the most passionate fans going and also seen the fans that want a scrap....yes its part of the culture though not a part i care for
Football fans are the worst, everywhere worldwide. Do you not remember when Britain lost the cup and black people couldn’t go outside for days? Or the riot that happened immediately after? Or how soccer crazed countries to get into bar fights and even murders over favourite teams? Most soccer fans are barbaric, naive and delusional.
And they continue to jump around regardless of potential danger.
Cry
Tis the thinking man's game
that is the fucking Netherlands we dont care bout danger
@@mrhater123 how does his comment gives you any indication that he gives a fuck?

Hey.

💀💀💀
Perfect example of “bringing the house down”
you can clearly see how much reinforced concrete flexes (and cracks) before failing actually
Not concrete it was metal fence
@@MHzappyyou can literally see the concrete floor after the collapse when fans started making way up
@@MHzappyBelow the advert. You can see the support flexing.
Funniest shit I've seen all day 🤣 even the players cheered it
Before collapse:
YEAHHHHH
Collapse:
Silent
5 seconds later:
WHO CARES, WOHOOOOO, YEAHHHHH
2 years later Vitesse itself collapsed and they went down to the second Dutch division!
En in Nijmegen hebben ze geen beker en geen Europees voetbal
- Didn't see you at the game. Where exactly were your seats?

Im here trying to find a replay of what happened in Rennes vs Leicester
no 19 guy: 😱😱
also no 19 guy: 🥳🥳
It's funny how the reporters completely switched their attention after the collapse.
Thank goodness it happened there and not somewhere 100 ft up.
Some short cuts taken in that construction.....
"Stadium collapses": OMG KING DID YOU SEE THAT RKO OUT OF NO WHERE
Vitesse Arnhem ❤️
A stadium not built for victory celebration
winning is everything in football, everything else come second
Camera man was ready
What the heck? Did they not use rebar in that concrete? I have never seen concrete snap like that.
was anyone injured?
you make every topic accessible and interesting, fantastic job!
They're still smiling and chanting even after it fell. That's dedication to your team.
What happened??
They don't seem too terrified
Amazing not one report of futbol spectator spilled beer!
Is there a Josh freeze look alike on that team?
Oh no our stadium is broken
Not theirs, it was an away game
Oh no!
Anyway.
Vitesse 💛🖤

Was anyone hurt?
The players should be ashamed
Why were the players still celebrating as it happened? Someone could have been crushed 🤦♂️🤷♂️
Cuz it's football 😂
Because we won the derby
They were celebrating then they stopped for a moment when it collapsed. Then when they saw that the fans seemed to be okay(based on the fact that those on the collapsed part were still shouting and fist pumping), they continued
What is the exact reason for this collapse, is it related to Oscillation?
yes
It didn't seem to worry them too much.
Jaki kraj takie zamieszki
This is why we can't have nice things.

The floor breaks like Man United
I bet CaseOh was there
someone cheaped out on rebar steel.
Thats one way to get a new stadium
sums up their current season
They are so lucky it didn’t fully collapse, would’ve been some deaths
Thats not luck 💚🖤🖤
Nah, just a couple of small injuries at worst.
Should look at what have hapened in ligue 1 like 3 seasons ago, a tribune collapsed and you see hundreds of poeples on each other on the ground according to french ministery. Nobody have suffer bad injuries. From the footage i see there like 15 death at least💀
We could use RAAC for the new safe standing terracing? Just so long as we don't win anything it'll be fine....
Foreshadowing for whats too come, Vitesse collapsing in on it self 😂😂😂😂
terrifying. yeah right
This is the reason why soldiers don't march in sync on bridges.
Hillsborough in HD
bro in green sweater is just taking pictures ain’t no way
It would be funny to know if it was the visiting team fans.
I can feel the testicular torsion
Their team didn't seem too bothered.
Practical for the phenomenon of RESONANCE which I learnt in my +2 .
Did they dig deep enough for the foundations?....
Coz, that sign says NODIG.
They kept celebrating afterwards like nothing happened 😂😂😂
Intermediate physics
And this is why soldiers break step when they march across bridges
What did they expect to happen jumping up and down like that?
They brought the house down.
Intentionally????
Cameraman 😭
Once they realized no one was hurt, and it was caused by their sheer exuberance- the fans and players went wild!

Football fans should be told not to harass concrete structures they are on.

"BROKEN BONES, BROKEN BONES,

If somebody actually got hurt, it will be on another video.
Humanity can be so simple lol
The Dutch are just built different 💀
How brain dead are those players celebrating that
Why the f your cheering up after that🤦♂️
dramatic but didnt seem that terrifying
Too bad vitesse now only have 2 points and not -1
Doesn’t look very terrifying
Okay superman
Terrifying? Hilarious! Good to see men being men.
Hauptsache, nichts passiert!

Who the fuck designed that?
they cheer this? assholes,... this kind of "support" will cause a massive stadium collapse and lots of deaths.... games at Boca Jr scare the hell out of me :) stadiums are for watching, not jumping.
lucky not the top stand .

Fine Dutch craftsmanship 🤣
"Terrifying"..
That’s what they get for being too loud because of this this causes an earthquake
