SHOOK BY THE ADDITION OF SANTA FE AND CARRYING THE BANNER
I think my favorite thing is that the Newsies were living in America at the end of a millennium and they were tight for money and basically this song totally applies to the Newsies too.
Cheyenne Brown well the newsboy strike happened in 1899 which was the end of that millennium. And rent took place at the end of the next millennium. At least thats how i see it.
Not to mention both stories include people hating new york city and wanting to go to santa fe, but inevitably stay in new york because their family and love interest are there
riffs + piano + the harmonies + newsies intertwined = me fangirling
This performance is absolutely incredible. Ben really owns that piano and you can really feel how they are connecting together as performers. The harmonies were also flawless. Great key for both of them, and definitely appreciated the newsies interjections. BRAVO!
I won't die happy unless I see the day that Corey plays Roger and Ben plays Mark in Rent. I need to see that !

I am literally obsessed with this. It's just so beautiful, and how they intertwined Newsies with Rent, PERFECTION. I am in complete awe of how amazing Ben on the piano sounds, along with singing...AND THOSE HARMONIES, YES! This entire thing is my favorite thing, I love this.... (is there something wrong with me? probably. am I still going to watch this a thousand times each day? yes.)
