Honestly the best sounding 12 string electric I have heard. It lends itself well to the various effects used here, and it does retain a strangely acoustic character in some settings. This has the wow factor!

Put in the Dano style pots where you have volume and tone in one.
      Gives you moreflexability
I mean that is mostly it.
And a really good set up.
      But C'mon.
      A 12 with P90s?
      heavenly

I’ve been saving up for a Rickenbacker 12, but wow. This sounds great and scratches the itch for a Novo body shape.

Handwriting has a good point. It's the Ric Combo shape, I forget the number.
Make sure you play different models to try them.
Here's my advice on Ric 12s:
Get the toaster pickups - - or change to toasters.
Get the trapeze tailpiece from Winfield to replace the R tailpiece unless you get one that has the trapeze. There is nothing worse than a 12 string change on the R tailpiece. Getting a root canal is better.
The main advantage of the Ric is that the bassier string of the low E, the A, D, and G is on the top side, so you are attacking down on the heavier string. Totally changes the timbre and feel. Only Ric builds them like this. If you get another type of 12 you can redo the nut and saddles to convert it and this works well.
Lastly, to get The Byrds sound play through a compressor. Instant 65 Turn Turn Turn etc.
      Enjoy!

This demo makes me think I should get rid of my Rick 360 and get one these. I'm sure it's easier to change strings. How is the intonation?

A lot of what we're enjoying here is the player's skill. Playing a 12-string is an exercise in restraint. You can't bash away, and this guy knows how to make this guitar sing. Even so, the tone is surprisingly even, and in tune, up and down the neck. Not too bad for under 15 hundred dollars.

Awesome playing as always. From this video it sounds every bit as good as my 360/12C63. But mine's prettier! :)

This instrument appears to sound different enough to a Rickenbacker 12 string that it would justify having two 12 string electric guitars in your arsenal. This one would cover the acoustic and warmer electric 12 string tones. The Rickenbacker 12 string would cover the extreme jangle and chime 12 string tones. Although I have a feeling that this one would be more versatile in the studio. You could almost mimic a Ric 12 by layering the different tones this one could produce.

There's not really much difference tonally, maybe a bit brighter on the Autunno Burst and Acero Glow but it's a 12 String so they are both pretty bright to start off with

The current situation is not easy either. How long would it be before a guitar is with me? And what if the guitar has a defect. Then I would have to send them back on the long way. I think that's out of the question for me at the moment. OK! Thanks for your answer and greetings from Germany

This guitar is twice what a Danelectro 12 costs. Is it worth it? Genuine question and not complaining about the price. Just wondering if this guitar is considerably better and worth the extra money.

    • @eastwoodguitarsofficial

Yes! Manufactured in our top Korean factory. It's quality above and beyond anything else in its price range

    • @Hikaru109Ichijyo
      @Hikaru109Ichijyo 2 года назад +1

Fano of Novo for Rivolta chose Eastwood and their S Korean company instead of the best that China has / (where Danelectro's are made) offered, plus the World guitar rankings are US > Canada / Japan / EU > S Korea / Indonesia / Mexico > China . Indo has PRS SE and Mexico has FEnder's MIM and Taylors MIM. This is very general. Because individual factories can beat out other factories above their weight / price class. I mean Epiphone out of China / INdo can sometimes tear up Gibson USA or Squire or Fender Corona factory can duke out lower Fender USA. There are some German and Swedish / Norway luthiers can crack the wood skulls of the best US custom shops combined so . . . Appreciate that we have the cornucopia of guitar manufacturing greatness at all price points all over. I definitely have Novo and Rivolta on my future sound list

@@retroman541 The original Danelectro instruments were made of masonite; they have never been made of any other material.
Regarding this guitar, I had a Rivolta 6 string and sold it after around 8 months. After a while I noticed that it exhibited the same problems that all these far eastern mass produced instruments suffer from , namely ice pick treble and a general electrical (as opposed to musical tone). Even the Gretsch vintage select series suffer from this malady
Thus I wouldn't recommend something like; instead raise some money and buy something good that will last and make good music.
And remember what you're hearing here is heavily processed; its unlikely any of them sound this good in the room
