This is probably a door buzzer for commercial walk-in fridges

I love mass notification, you should definitely collect more like these.

I saw an alarm like that in a building, but the device had a blue strobe, which is used for a refrigerator leak alarm.

@TBB747 (this channel is now closed) My local Sams is similar, except it's a Wheelock 7002T labeled "DOOR"

I have seen things similar to this at airports, except they have codes to open the door. It goes off immediately if someone opens the door. The devices are usually system sensor.

That’s an interesting alarm. I’ve seen those before actually but only in South Carolina. It was for a refrigeration unit (so things wouldn’t get warm inside)

Indeed it is interesting, and yes they are usually used for refrigerant notification

My local Walmart has this except it has a Commander 3 for the Deli & Bakery Freezer to keep the door closed.

You guys have absolutely no reason to say that you were first because you have no idea if you were first! And, it annoys the rest of us who are trying to figure out what other people are saying about it. So please, do not ever say anything about you being first, either to view or to comment.

What if this was set up for an intruder alarm and you set this alarm on your front yard and if someone broke in the alarm will go off

That is quite interesting. Is there a way you could interface it with any of your panels to create a supervisory when you have it open too long?

I can, as it has relays available to use, but I don't plan to. Good suggestion though!

I worked at Amazon and they had horn strobes like these whenever the freezer door is left open for more than 1 minute .

where can I get this alarm?

  • @davidperry4013

If I had a setup like that, I'd go with a Chime strobe instead of a horn strobe.

That is not a door, it's a gate. So it's alarm label below the Potter's SelectAlert Horn/Strobe should say: "Gate Open Alarm" instead. The "Door Open Alarm" one is only for doors not gates.
