I don't usually comment on videos simply subscribe and like, but I wanted to reach out and say thank you for spending your time and energy sharing these systems which help dramatically turn my life around and probably many others. I often take notes, schedule and very good at articulating / breaking down complicated things in simple terms for myself and others I work with / are in my life. However, I achieve all of that on my good days, on my bad days I fall back to pretty much nothing, since all of the above is run mostly by my will power and brain to remember where I stored things etc, but with a system built I can now fallback to that as you said and it just helps me knowing that even if the year ahead is filled with good days / bad days I will not fall far from my intentions I set at the start of the year or even at the start of the day. One cannot achieve goals without clearly defining them. Goals without actionable steps are just dreams. That said it is very hard for me to sit down at a computer or even notebook and define my goals and the actionable steps. All the goals I had last year related to a career I no longer have. Now I'm having the hardest time picking a direction and sticking to it. When you did the bit of working in the wrong direction, I felt that. 🤣

Thanks for the continuous great content! I've been using Notion for everything in my life for the last 2 years, and love it! This is super useful. Question - what would your advice be for setting things up so you can have a shared to-do list with a partner? My husband and I want to use systems to keep track of our shared tasks that are more mundane, weekly and monthly, and review as needed.
Ah thanks Claudia. :) Yeah I think that’s easy to do if you have a pro account as you can allocate people to tasks but without that I would suggest just doing similar to my regular tasks manager in this video ruclips.net/video/C0rNezh6_ZQ/видео.html )and just adding a tag column that you can allocate who does it: e.g. you / him / whoever gets there first! You can also invite him to collaborate in your work space and have a shared page too I believe. I’ve done it on video collabs. Something like that anyway! Good luck!

Hi Simon! Great video as always :) I'm just sitting and writing my positives, negatives and lessons and I'm wondering: How do you remember about your lessons through the year? :)
Great! I remember the wind and losses by tracking through my weeks on Google cal. The lessons are more based on remembering what the events or projects were like and then coming up with what I can learn from in as I do the process. Sometimes there are lessons I’ve learnt that I remember and sometimes I have written them into weekly or mo that reflections that I review from my journal. Personally I think it’s good to make the lessons a reflection in the moment of doing this process :)

Hi Simon, downloaded Notion a few days ago and while researching and learning how to best use it, I came across your channel and I love your videos and templates. I was just about to download the Complete Life OS and you mentioned a new one is coming out. How soon will this be released? If I downloaded the current Complete Life OS would I be able to upgrade and would there be an additional cost for this? Thanks.
Hi Tinashe, great to hear! Yes, I will be releasing a new set of templates: just depends on how long it takes to complete but hoping too soon. Depends on what you want to do: I will be adding quite a lot of new sections like a contacts manager, and i've done a lot of modifications and reformatting the views based on new Notion features and better ways to do things. I will make the new version available to existing users at a very discounted price using a code - so they only pay for the new stuff and my work on improving it - however you would need to transfer your data across to the new duplicated version as of course I won't be updating other people's workspaces! Ah thanks for the kind words. I’m been messing with various changes and additions and I am planning a big update to my templates. There will have been a fair amount of work done and new stuff added so I’ll be sending a code to existing users so if they want to upgrade they can get a big discount to just pay for the new stuff. That said: you would of course have to move all your data across to the new template as of-course I can’t update other people’s workspaces! Thanks for being awesome and supporting the channel. :)

Currently no calendar integration with Notion yet, other than using api automations to send things back and forth - I don’t know if there is one for iCal thou… not seen one. Best bet is to link a google calendar to both iCal and Notion - but but complicated?! :)
i downloaded the Life OS template a few days ago, the action section is a bit confusing with all the projects and action steps...im currently re-watching your video for a second time and re-reading the instructions lol i feel dumb LOL

Check our David Allen’s Getting Things Done book that i talk about in the linked vid - it’s inspired a lot of how the systems work. I’ll be making a more comprehensive guide to my process soon for the templates too. But yes - it will take a bit of using and learning if you are newer to this. :) all the best with it!

Just got your template. How do I log? just keep changing the number everyday. If it's the 10th day then I put in 10? Is there a way where I can just click somewhere and it logs for me?
Hi Brian - Thanks for downloading! Yes if you are talking about the Practices template in the Life OS packagers - you currently just edit the log number to add one instance. So each time you do the practice - add one (change from 9 to 10). It was the easiest way to make all the reporting work. Bear in mind: I'll be making a new version of the templates available soon which will use a linked daily Log Database and a roll-up for the log to make this a little different.. Don't worry -I'll let existing users know how to download so they don't pay twice - only an additional amount for the newly added elements and my work on the. But you would have to transition across to the new template. I'm aiming to put it out within February. Let's see. Or if you'd prefer a simpler weekly Habit Tracker there is a free one on my website at the bottom of downloads that you could swap out. Much less reporting on it thou. Hope that helps! Simon :)

Maybe use a monthly and weekly reflection to record them as you go and you can look back on them.
