I’ve been following you for 6 years. You have inspired me over the years to get organized! I work in healthcare and have a different closet I store my scrubs and work shoes in along with my backpack and all of my work essentials so I’m not scrambling at 4 am! Thank you so much for all of the videos over the years! My days flow so much better than before!
I love the organization and how you have left space! You have everything pared down to what you need and without crowding and collecting multiple colors, sizes, etc. I am sure this makes getting ready so easy and you do not have to try on multiple things when you decide what to wear!
I love the small pull out drawers for organization of gloves, bracelets and glasses. I’m going to do the same. Thank you for sharing.

Speaking of avoiding the moody blues, thank you SO MUCH for your stories this morning! The timing was PERFECT as I’m packing for Mexico this afternoon! Our last trip, I packed all of my makeup & ended up not wearing any of it other than travel days. My husband actually prefers lighter or no makeup & it takes so much time to apply & remove. I know no one other than him so who cares!?! Thank you for validating my “little to no” makeup traveling; you’ve saved me time & guilt over not being more “put together”! Thank you for sharing your closet organizing! I live in North Central Texas and we don’t really have four seasons! Right now we are experiencing some below freezing temperatures, but it only lasts a few days, not weeks nor months! I have no need of a four season wardrobe, most of my clothes are year round! I wear my short sleeve shirts year round! I just add a sweater or jacket! I am fortunate to have a walk in closet (8x6) all to myself, as does my husband!

Hi Tracy! Thank you for sharing the tour of your closet! I loved the video. I have velvet hangers like you in the ivory and love them. I have 2 walk in closets in my primary bedroom that I use. I don’t rotate the summer and winter clothes either- it is too time consuming. I do love the furniture piece you have for jewelry and accessories and will look for something similar. We live in distinct 4 seasons as well! We have 6 dedicated closets and 8 dedicated cupboards! So thankful for the space in our home…our kids are out of the house too and we took over their closets! We LOVE knowing where every item lives!

I can’t see myself getting onto my knees to get my accessories. I would move some items down and move the drawers up or better yet, build some upper clear storage.

Thank you for the tour. I live in Switzerland and walk-in closets are not common here. I work with a dresser in my bedroom for everything that forms my first layers and loungewear. And since I’m living on my own, I have repurposed the hidden clothing rack in the entryway for my dresses, jackets and trousers as well as shoes. This way, I can get dressed “on the way out”.

Do I shop frequently? It depends on what you are referring to by 'shopping.' Clothes and accessories, rarely. Over the years, I have created such a beautiful wardrobe that I need very little. I don't have a set budget for fashion and accessories since it's not an area I may overspend.
Family activities/vacations, supplements, clean eating food, and skin spa treatments & procedures absorb most of my personal spending, but I have a budget for those areas. I record all expenses (business and personal) so I know where all the money is going, and at the end-of-year review, I see if any and where adjustments may need to be made. After my 2023 review, it's cutting back on family outings and trips. I didn't find another area where I may have gone overboard. I'm more of a saver than a spender, as are my husband and kids.

I’m retired and still won’t take the time to re-circulate my seasonal clothing/shoes. Too much work and before you know it, the next season is here!

@@TracyHensel I went upstairs and started getting rid of things I haven’t or won’t wear. A little at a time. This is the year of “what’s not serving me well.” Too many clothes and I am retired and don’t go many places. Starting to overwhelm me looking at my too full closet. Apparently I was trying to fill a void by shopping. I’m done but it took many years to get here. I need to purge other areas too. Ugh! Thanks for some inspiration to get things more organized. Most of my problem is just too much and that makes it difficult to make it look good.

I hear you. I have a really nice walk in closet, but I hate moving things in and out. I only move out super Summery things in Fall and Winter and vice versa. Everything else stays put.

I share a walk-in closet with my husband and since we are empty-nesters I also use the walk-in closet in the other bedroom for my handbag collection, travel totes, packing cubes, and toiletry bags, etc. I also switched all of our hangers out to the velvet huggable hangers several years ago and absolutely love them! I love your closets and your organization. It makes it so much easier to find things. Thanks for sharing!

Tracy I love your organizational tips. I have a wall to wall closet that gets very dark so I have gotten some lights out in there. I have limited space so I normally put my summer stuff in rubber boxes but I’m going to invest in one of those closet spaces you have in your Bsmt.

Unfortunately, our home has no extra bedrooms to convert, but it's a nice thought.
