    I would really love a series on home organization, like maybe how you organize your kitchen, bathroom, etc. I've been following you for five years, and I absolutely adore you. Your videos and your Organize Tomorrow Today workshop helped me so so much. The videos you did recently on your bedroom, etc were great ❤️

    Tracy , thank you so much for this video. I’ve been watching you for quite a few years, I have three very young children and through your youtube videos, you have helped me SO much to be the mom I need to be at home. So many people ask me if I work and I think , if you only knew the things that I do in one day.. thank you so much for validating that being a mom is a job and you can do it well and be intentional about not being sloppy in that . I am considered a perfectionist even though I do not think that about myself, I also do believe that I am just doing my best and want to execute what I am doing well. I also feel like SO many people are sloppy and then say things like I am lucky this and that but I definitely put the work in and take the time to put effort into what i am doing and you have helped me execute that in this busy time of my life . i’m rambling, but thank you so much for these videos that you provide to us viewers for free ❤ and happy new year 🎉 i am off to watch your organize tomorrow today

      I'm a house wife and I decided not to have children but I highly admire women who decide to stay at home and take care of their children and husbands and put a great effort on doing it right. Just like you mentioned I constantly get ask if I work, to my surprise I get this kind of comments mostly from other women which is really sad. I learned through the years to take pride of being an excellent housewife and my 16 years of marriage and a wonderful husband are my daily motivation to improve every day in every aspect of my life. You are doing a great job and I'm sure your children will be wonderful adults thanks to your time, care and love. God bless you and your family !

    Thank you for articulating this so very well! We used to call what you’re addressing here as congruence. When you’re inner self reflects your outer self. So beautiful to say that one can put effort in to align and create a life that perfectly matches one’s best self. Never thought of it that way. It takes so much effort to not be sloppy but so very worth it. I needed to hear this! Thank you again!

    This is one of my favorite videos you’ve done Tracy! Thank you so much!!! I just got married this summer and I find that this topic of putting in the effort of good habits is what is going to make me the wife I want to be! Everyone says “happy wife, happy life” thinking that they have to make their wife happy in order to have a happy life! But I know that BEING a happy wife will give my husband a happy life! And he deserves that, and I want to do him good not harm all the days of my life! Also, if you have the chance to check out acupuncture, I highly recommend it! My mom has a basically incurable disease and has had amazing results from acupuncture! Just throwing that out there! I pray you progress and get better in your health issues! ❤️

    I'm heading into my second 3-week intense program. The first one was definitely a blow to my ego, which I honestly needed. It made me put aside my excuses (I was determined to do this!), and made me reevaluate my perfectionistic tendencies. When I wasn't able to complete the program requirements every single day in its entirety (although I was pretty close!), it made me realize just what I am capable of, because I am an adult, and I can do hard things! And it was hard, since I was one to say that with my career and mothering, that I just didn't have time. I made time, because I had to. I still can't believe that in three weeks I was able to change the entire projection of my day. I'm excited to see how I continue to grow coming up in January, and I'd be one of your first to sign up for a 12 month growth project.

    Hi Tracy. This is a great video and the timing of it was perfect for me. I know there are areas of my life that are sloppy and can be improved and those will be a focus for 2023. I also need to stop buying my excuse of "it takes too much energy to do....." or "that's not my thing". Need to work on some self-coaching. Another focus for me will be tuning out the noise of the world. As a matter of fact, right before I watched your video I was on FB and saw a post that hit up against one of my 'sloppy' areas. I got very upset and started feeling very bad about myself. Mostly I think it was because it's a an area that I struggle with, but also because I was comparing myself. I want to grow into myself and not worry about other people! Thank you for your words. I am signed up for the the 3-week intense starting this week - can't wait!!

    I loved this video! One of your best ever ! I am excited to sign up for another 3-week intense. I am excited to hear more details about your. 12-month program - I like the idea of it being for 12 months as it's a realistic time frame to see permanent changes in our lives. I know that many times when a program is short, you can easily forget about the program and you're off to something else, but a 12-month program gives the needed time and also (I think) would make your program much different than many others out there. I would also support a Patreon channel if you had one so I could help support you and ensure your content remains on RUclips and also allows you to profit from the time you spend making the videos. Happy New Year to you and your family!

    Dear Tracy, first of all I want to thank you for everything you teach me and, above all, for nurturing the hope of improving myself and my life. Thank you so much.
    Lately I've been noticing behavior in myself that I would like to improve/change. I very often find myself in a rushed, doing this, doing that. I ask you: how can I work on myself on this topic? How can I improve and change this rushed and sloppy attitude? In my job often I have to be speedy, but, listening to you, I begun to notice that, I don’t like the way I look, and I don’t like to feel like that, because I feel really agitated inside and not in control of myself, fearful of doing something wrong…I hope to express well. Thank you for your attention. A hug, with love.

      Thank you, Patrizia! You are always so sweet and kind, and I appreciate your thoughtfulness and the time you take to express your gratitude to me.
      To answer your question: Be more aware of your movement and whether it serves you in that moment. Little bits of self-talk can do wonders. I 'feel' everything you describe, and I'm sure most can relate. I coach myself to slow down, move with Grace, and be meticulous. I don't strive for perfection, but my effort should be done well. Good Luck!

    Hi Tracy, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thanks for this video, very informative and encouraging, as per usual. I have received a lot of mixed messages about effort vs. outcome, and I’ve always been a high effort person, and I find most people appreciate it, but at the same time express opinions on outcome if that doesn’t work out the way these other people think it should. And that has resulted in mixed messaging both coming at me, and from me to me as I analyze what’s occurring or what has occurred. I work a corporate job and it’s all about results, results, results, although all I can control is me and my efforts. I have critical family members that sometimes talk out of both sides of their mouths, leaving me feeling mixed. So I appreciate hearing your words about living my own truth and focusing on how I want to live and the person I want to be. That’s not easily changed given a lifetime of habit, or repeated experience, but I do feel encouraged that if I put the work in, I can make some improvements in how I handle myself.

    • @TracyHensel
      @TracyHensel  Год назад +1

      Hi Gina. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you. I appreciate your feedback. Based on what you shared, it sounds like you are trying to please others more than what you find serves you best. Understand that most people live pretty sloppily at their professional and personal levels. I, too, witness this but find no value in sloppy work. See what happens when you stay in your lane and continue putting the effort in for your well-being. Remove the expectation that others will do the same. I know some see this as enabling. I have been accused of being an enabler more than I have been accused of being a perfectionist. I continue to do what serves me best, but I don't let sloppy, irresponsible people off the hook. I create boundaries with them. They may not find my limits pleasing, which makes sense, coming from their messy lens. I confidently wipe my hands clean and let them handle the consequences they often face for their lack of follow-through or sloppiness. I hope this makes sense and helps. It is undoubtedly a complex topic to cover. It has been an excellent step for me. I rarely bat a lash at others living a low-quality life. I see how they are living as a reminder of how I don't want to live. I want to celebrate the gift of life given to me and do it well. Happy New Year!

    Thank you Tracy for this chit-chat video, I loved the message and so agree with everything what you say but it is so needed to hear it again and again here as well as on Instagram, because it helps me keep going and trying to be the best version of myself. thank you. I have already prepared some kind of challenge for myself for 2023 in areas that I would like to improve and work on (reading, drinking water…) but I would sooo love to become a member of your 12 months program. Do you have any time estimation in mind, when you would like to release it? Thank you for everything you do and have a happy new year! 💛

    Merry Christmas Tracy! When do you start to take down all the holiday decor ?

    • @TracyHensel
      @TracyHensel  Год назад

      I don't have a set day for breaking down Christmas decor, but I do try to have it wrapped up by early January, considering I go right into Valentin's decor. I want the Valentine's decor up for about 6 weeks to make it through Valentine's Day.
      Every year breakdown depends on my schedule and availability. I also have outsourced breakdown the last two years, but this year I will be doing it myself and possibly some assistance depending on the assistant's availability. If she is unavailable when it works for me, I will be alone.

    Tracy, I understand that the 3 week intense is about diet and fitness. Is it also about forming new habits? And self reflection on what you want to change?

    • @TracyHensel
      @TracyHensel  Год назад

      Hi Brandon. The program aims to help members learn the art of making time for healthy habits that align with their goals - from exercise and diet to drinking water and reading something of value daily. It is Intense, but the feedback from members has spoken for itself. Most members are looking for weight loss habits to instill, but a handful is like me in weight maintenance.

    Hi Tracy, do you have a video on boyfriends, girlfriends how should they address his/ her parents and how they should act upon meeting his parents for the first time? My son (42) has been dating this women (37) for a year and we met her for the first time this October. I was put back by her actions. She came into the house went to our couch and took off her shoes sat on the couch with her legs under her and what ever we said in conversation she had to look it up on her cell phone and debuked us/ (who does this) The second time she met us was this Christmas shoes came off again and she now address us with our first names. I was highly insulted as I find t his to be very disrespectful. Could you do a video on girlfriend/boyfriend etiquette? Have a great new year!!

      Hi Linda. I don't know if I have a video specifically on the topic. Check my Q & A videos. But most of my videos are on how to handle oneself properly. Unfortunately, your son's girlfriend lacks people skills. She may have never learned them and was raised in a family that contrasts yours. It makes you wonder why your son is choosing to date someone of such a nature. Maybe he doesn't believe he deserves better.

    Tracy, thank you for another great video! Can I ask how you managed to map out this week when last week was so busy with Christmas festivities ( plan next week, this week) Do you follow a master planning list and chip away at it during your week? Thank you for all your advice.

      Thank you. I have a master document that helps me. There is a workshop to help in planning for Christmas and the Holiday Season. Check it out. You may find value in it.
      In addition, I shared on the topic earlier this past week on Instagram Stories. It sounds like you may have missed it. Check the highlight titled 'Yesterday'. I may have saved it there. In addition, please watch that platform daily, as I share organizing and life management tips almost daily. I hope this helps.

    Just knocked out another 2022 goal before the end of the year 🙌
    I was once called a perfectionist and “controlled and rigid”. The ironic thing was the person who called me this was constantly frazzled, putting out fires, dwelling on the past, stuck in the present and unable to complete anything. As a result, our plans would fall through a lot, or she would arrive very late, and I didn’t like it happening on my watch, so that’s where her snarky remarks came from. Her life was chaotic and her promises were insincere.
    Effort (and reliability) and self improvement is very attractive! Perfectionism is about thinking your this never-ending work in progress that always needs to be tweaked, corrected and fixed. It’s self abuse.

    I really liked this video. I'm sorry for whatever it is you're struggling with; I hope God and your family continue to help you through it. I was "always a very happy kid & lit up the room when I walked in". Hard times in life beat the happiness out of me and I've been working on getting that genuine smile back. Smiling should be felt from within, not a front to mask the pain. So, I've been working on getting my smile back :) One of my favorite scriptures in the Bible is from Psalm 118:24 "This is the day Jehovah has made; We will be joyful and rejoice in it." God truly wants us to take one day at a time. Past happened. Future unknown. But today, we live. I've lost a lot of friends in death recently and its really made me think about how I choose to live my days that I have left. I don't want to be known as a perfectionist. I want to be remembered as someone who cared and loved and proved it by my actions. So each new day is another chance to make God smile, to love our family, and to support our friends. Each new day is another chance to tell the Devil "Not today, Satan!" Or, as you put it once, "Get back in your seat, Gremlin! I'm driving this bus!" Sometimes, we need to tell others (and ourselves!!!) "I would have to pencil you in on my calendar to be upset by what you did because I'm too busy loving you to be upset." (Equals forgiving freely like Jesus Christ said and not letting people get to us like you said.) I used to dread a new day because I was tired of not liking myself. But for the past few weeks I've been learning to "give myself some grace". Sloppiness is everywhere. It's accepted by most but each of us can say "It's not accepted by me. I'm going to give my best." Our best doesn't have to be 100%. Sometimes my best is 10% because I struggle with depression but 10% is better than 0%. There is a difference between tolerating and accepting. Sorry for my rant; I talk too much too, haha. Thanks again for the upbeat. Have a happy day Tracy!

    Hi Tracy! The concept of separating effort and follow-through from outcomes is simple yet powerful. While I was listening to that part of your video yesterday, a headache-type situation at work popped into my head. It was as if you adjusted my lens so I could see effort and outcome separate from each other, and being able to see the effort helped me find genuine appreciation - quite the antidote to frustration! This framework will also help me work through some things in my personal life where I haven't been putting forth effort, because I was mistaking outcomes for effort. Thank you for all you do. You are an inspiration!

    Hay Tracy amazing video just what I needed for 2023.. Tracy how did you discipline your babies when they were 2 years old the terrible 2 🤯. Also how did you stay patient when raising your kids I don’t want to be that mum that’s always raising her voice.. you’ve done an amazing job raising you girls and are doing a brilliant job raising baby June tips would be great thank you ❤

    • @TracyHensel
      @TracyHensel  Год назад +6

      Thank you for the lovely compliment. At the age of 2, I found redirecting more effective than discipline. I did this with my girls (not always well) and am doing the same with June. Their little brains are a sponge at this age. They are interested in everything, yet only some things are for two-year-olds. They also start testing you to see IF and HOW you react. Again they are learning. Redirect their efforts instead of scolding them. As they get older, when they know better, discipline can be implemented. We will not always be patient and, at times, raise our voices, inevitably. Give yourself grace. When you react in a way you wished you hadn't, ask yourself, "How could I have responded better?' In the future, when your buttons get pushed, remember that.
