I think I would chose monzo because of the pots and the ability to pay direct debits from a pot. Great video. Could you do a video on monzo plus and monzo premium and just your thoughts and opinions on the accounts?
100% agree, paying from pots is a great feature. I didn't mention it in the video as I've only heard rumours, but apparently Starling is going to release an update which would allow people to pay bills from spaces. Yep, videos about Monzo's Premium and Plus accounts are coming in the next few weeks!
This video needs to be updated, Starling now allows you to make payments directly from your spaces, other than that great video. Earned yourself a subscriber.
Great video Tomas, found this really interesting! Am considering using Monzo or Starling as a spending account. Will be watching your app walkthroughs next! Thank you :-)
For someone living and working in the UK who does most or all daily banking online and cashless, there really is no practical difference between the two, imo. But generally, Starling seems to offer more practical advantages (being able to receive money abroad, unlimited money withdrawals, euro accounts, free and unlimited cash deposits, photo cheque deposits, etc...). Saying that, I use a Monzo account in the UK and abroad and never had any issues. I do everything online, pay cashless at stores with Apple Pay and rarely use cash, so I don’t see a reason to move to Starling.
Yeah I think most people would be happy with either of them. I'm hoping Starling brings in the pay from spaces feature soon as that's the biggest thing Monzo holds over them imo
Though the £200 limit on foreign cash withdrawals gets a but tight if you go somewhere where cash is still king and they don't like using credit and debit cards so much
Hi Kian! Apologies for not uploading in a while. A combination of my furlough ending and quite a bit of self employed work coming through at the same time has meant I've had to take some time off from RUclips while I adjust back to "normal" times. I'm sitting down this week to prep for my next video (Monzo Plus review) which I hope to upload on Monday the 19th and then it's back to regular content from then! Thanks for your comment, it really helps keep me motivated to make more videos. Any videos you'd like to see, feel free to let me know! Hope you've had a good Easter weekend
I used to bank with starling but with no new features and offers given as promised, I moved away to Monzo. Get paid a day earlier, got an overdraft easily (where as starling refused me straight away) and Monzo allowed me to have flex too which is basically like a credit card so I can use that each month and pay it off in full. Or if I wanted pay it over 3 months still with no interest. Starling app is slightly more grown up and better visually but Monzo are changing things to make the app flow better and look better. It’s definitely Monzo for me!!!
Hey Shafeen, firstly thank you so much for your support, even after me not uploading for so long. I filmed a video last week which I'm hoping to edit and upload next week (although this more business focussed). If you have any video ideas you want to put forward, I'm all ears, as I really want to get back to regular uploading. Cheers mate
Which bank would you pick?

@@TomasBersier can’t wait for your video. Keep up the good work.
Starling is much better.
I think both are good, but I much prefer Starling

Yeah I'm so glad they have finally released this update!
Very good video mate. Really useful info and great editing. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Peter, I really appreciate the feedback!

Thanks David I really appreciate your comment! I would definitely consider both as they are great!

Thank you for watching!
Thank you very much for this video! As an international student it is really useful :)
You're welcome, thanks for watching! :)
Hi, very informative video. Like you, Starling has the edge for me as a second bank account.
Yeah I think as a second account Starling is better, I just hope that the rumours of them allowing payments from Spaces are true!
Thank you for creating this video - it is SO useful!
I'm glad you found it helpful Estefania! And thanks for leaving a nice comment!
Great Video - Thank you Tomas. Thanks for your video. I now know that the challenger banks are not challenging me with their offers.
Thanks for watching!
good comparison mate!!
Thanks mate!

Yep, I believe even places like Germany still rely heavily on cash so yeah £200 is quite low
Hi tomas thank you so much for ur videos. I get that you might be busy. But when is the next video? Hope you have had a good Easter and stay safe.

Great videos...I've just subbed to support your efforts 😊👍
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
Thank you! I think I will open both and trial them.
Great idea! Thanks for watching :)

Great Video, keep it up.
Thanks for the support mate!
It's not a huge deal, but I'm not gonna use either until they use Visa, not Mastercard... not sure why
Your super underrated
Thanks mate, I really appreciate it!
Where are you gonna bro. We need more content from you

@@TomasBersier waiting for your new upload. Would love to know more about offers from banks in the UK and also about the chase bank
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll add Chase to the list of videos to make
Can you transfer money to people to different banks and just being able to send money
Yup, you can send money to whoever you want using their account number and sort code
Does Starling allow early pay day?
Nope, I don't believe they do
Starling bank is the best 🌹
Great isn't it!
You forgot to mention that its way and way harder to open a Starling bank. They'll find lots of reason to don't open a bank account for you.
Did they give you a reason why they rejected you? For me, it was the easiest bank account I've ever opened
Huh? It was so easy for me to open a starling account
love it
Thanks!
£250 a month won't go far abroad.
Indeed, especially that in many countries cash is still very much king and they don't really like credit and debit cards as much
