First Time Ridin' The XC Trails Giants Ridge! North Loop Shred Before Sunset

- Finally tried out some of the XC trail at Giants Ridge. Decided to get a quick rip in after work on the North loop. This loop was primarily built by Flow Track who are based out of Marquette MI.
All of the trail is two way so I tried most of it out both ways. There's not a lot of millage so it was still only about an eight mile ride.
It's tight singletrack with flow. You can tell they started with the B loop and took more time on that and then started moving faster. The shapes on B loop though are kinda hard to make and tight but I also kinda like that.
I didn't think much of the black loop and would maybe just skip it if I was trying to ride the south loop with ribbits or just wanted a shorter ride.
I think the best way to loop it would be start out on A (which ya kind of have to) and then take B, a right on C and come back south on E to A.
A has a really cool view too. A is a green loop.
It's cool that Giants has a little something to offer every day of the week for people to ride.
Of course I like riding bike park way more than XC but I had a fun on these trails and will plan on checking out the South Loop one of these days.

Congratulations on the proposal
Thanks dude!
Looks pretty cool but man, it would be hard to convince myself to hit XC trails when there are all those awesome gravity trails and a way to skip the climbing. If I was more of a local or in town for a few days though for sure. Thanks for showcasing this man, it definitely has some fun stuff sprinkled in.
Yeah I would never ride this when the bike park is open. I haven’t rode the south loop yet but I’ve heard the a pretty fast section that last for awhile. Rock Solid built the south loop
Nice, gotta check that out!! Yeah GR, pay the man!!
Lol thanks buddy 🤙🏻
Never been much for xc but this looks like a sick spot to get some km’s up!
Yeah me either but I had some fun
Sick! I’m probably gonna make my way to Giants this weekend. I’m guessing you’re out there; I’ll hit you up if I make it out.
I’m going home for the weekend but I’m going to stick around the following weekend if you wanna come up then…
They look pretty fun but man that's gotta be a cluster riding that when its busy with all those trails being two way
I don’t think they get very busy but yeah if it was busy it would be for sure.
Do you know if the XC trails need a paid pass to ride in the evenings or off days?
Yeah you pay $15 I think and sign a waiver. That may have changed now though
Place looks great. You said something I don't understand. You said off camber turns. What does that mean? Can you explain that for a novice?
Off camber turns are like the opposite of a berm. Instead of being held and supported by a berm around the turn, the trail falls away around the turn. Makes it difficult to corner fast and find grip.
@@carlholman2993 ah. Thanks for explaining. What's this about a proposal? Did you do it?
Yes exactly what Carl said. I proposed to my girlfriend this past weekend and she said yes. Not sure what it had to do with this video but thanks for the congrats haha
@@ridindirt congrats.
Listening to you talk about how to ride those trails sounds like an algebra equation. Is it worth the price?
Hahaha true. I wouldn’t go up there just to ride the XC stuff but if you’re there when the bike park is closed it’s definitely worth riding.
I’m not totally sure where I’m going… but there’s a reason
I’m not quite sure why I’m here or what I’m doing. But there’s a reason
Hahaha 👊🏻
@@ridindirt cracked me when you said that in the beginning 😂
