Cityscape's soundtrack has been (and still is) one of my favorite aspects about it, among other things. Also, there are some interesting aspects about certain pieces, within the game's soundtrack.
Definitely. Whenever these tracks start playing in-game, my hype meter shoots up to 11. Oh really? What interesting tidbits are there about certain pieces?
The music that plays during the trek down that brown structure, and its choir-like parts. It's my personal favorite. The music for the "Troubled Teens" missions ended up being used for Animal Planet's "The Most Extreme". (Also, I'd say a name like that is an unusual name for a mission.) If you listen close to the beginning of the respective end-game music(s), you'll hear ambient sounds from the city/slums areas. Also, there's the obvious Gigo roar at the end of the aforementioned end-game music. Oh, and by the sound it, Agent Phillips was killed in either the city/slums chapters, from the ambience in the background.
The full Carnivores Cityscape soundtrack: composed by Gary Phillips, this is hands down one of the best aspects of Cityscape. An excellent techno theme coupled with haunting ambience grounds Cityscape in a horrifying world where dinosaurs and man clash in outer space. Enjoy!
The tension music for this soundtrack really puts the horror element of LITERAL ALIEN DINOSAURS killing off an entire city into perspective in my opinion. Might just be because it reminds me of the soundtrack for John Carpenter's "The Thing".
SO I just noticed while rewatching this for the trillionth time, at 12:50 the agent's name is Agent Phillips, would this be a reference to the music composer? Is that his voice? If so, I think that is a *super* awesome little addition!
Also look it up f22 lightning 3 menu music. It's is same and that game came out in 1999 or 98 I can't remember I've heard this exact beat all over the place in a couple places.
I get the same feeling, which is why I love 'em! They actually aren't scrapped, they do play in-game: 9:08 plays when the player enters the cryostatis chambers on DinoCorp 7, and 11:35 plays when the player first encounters the wreckage of DinoCorp 7.
They're scattered all over RUclips in various formats, I just thought it would be handy to compile them all in one place so people could listen to the whole thing.
I believe this guy also made music for the documentary movie Alien Planet. Speaking of alien planet, that would make a good mod, you should check out this documentary ruclips.net/video/fJIgcihiw2Y/видео.html
@@SaurianTarget Actually it turns out Alien Planet composer is not Gary Philips. Besides Primal Prey and Cityscape, are ther any more soundtracks by this guy

its got that industrial sound to it and im obsessed
Carni-Jamm06 was basically the theme song for the early to mid 2000's. The most extreme on animal planet used a sample from it
I remember that lol good times
And also Lost Tapes (also by Animal Planet)
Alien Dinos in a futuristic city? what could go wrong!
*DinoHunt Corp.'s famous last words*
*cuts to coelophysis pack mauling a solider*
*Everything*
If your wearing headphones the first 15 seconds sounds like there is a music note bouncing back and forth from one ear to the other.
That's weird
@@rainworks5155 I was a weird person 2 years ago

Omg yeah!
It's a panned synth :3
A really solid soundtrack, makes me want to play this game even more now.
Same. In-game, this soundtrack elevates the game far higher than without.
I feel like this music would be perfect for a late night drive through the city
CARNI-JAMM03 was always my favorite
It's got a very cool vibe, for sure.
If there is one thing cityscape got right, this is it.
Holy balls the main theme sounds like something from new grounds. I friggin love it
Didn't expect much, but this is actually really cool!
Not bad, right?
Perfect soundtrack for fighting werewolves (and alien dinos) in a futuristic cyberpunk city...
Ma boy Gary was cooking a 5 stars with this soundtrack
I've never known Cityscape has a disco vibe, now I wanna blast this in the night somehow feels right
Carni-jammin02 has to be may favorite track it sounds and feels so unnerving and creepy
Oh wow! This is actually really good! :D
Incoming BANGER BEATS

YO CARNI-JAMM06 IS PART OF THE ANIMAL EXTREME SOUNDTRACK
Is it just me or does anyone else hear a girl crying in Carni-Jamm06? Like at around 8:38, I swear to God I can hear her say "no."
I also heard a woman/girl in the background, though I don't _what_ she's saying.
I totally hear it too. I don't know the context of why that's in there, but it makes it 100x creepier, IMO.
One of the more unusual mysteries in the Carnivores franchise.
Or maybe it's a random small dinosaur sound, like those from the carnivores ambience
SO I just noticed while rewatching this for the trillionth time, at 12:50 the agent's name is Agent Phillips, would this be a reference to the music composer? Is that his voice? If so, I think that is a *super* awesome little addition!
I do believe that is indeed the case!
@@SaurianTarget That is really cool!
I got this game as a DVD and must say i think its one of the better games, i even played it on my channel
I just recently bought and played through this game, and while i wasn't exactly a fan of it, I do really enjoy the soundtrack
Half the budget went into the soundtrack
8:10 That music sounds very familiar-
Hey, isn't the tune from *Animal Planet*'s _The Most Extreme_"? I remember and love that show!
Yep!
Also look it up f22 lightning 3 menu music. It's is same and that game came out in 1999 or 98 I can't remember I've heard this exact beat all over the place in a couple places.
5:00 me at the age of 12: "ahHH shit, here we go again"
My neck hurts
Don't headbang too hard!
Mine too!
That, SUCKS man...
Great, all songs in one
9:08 - 11:35 are *really* chilling to me.....
Are they scrapped? If not where do they play?

Extraction and Dyno Win was always my favorite
The sound track is really cool! Where can you get it from?
Groovy
The music in this game reminds me a lot of the music in the Oddworld games
This reminds me of shin Megami Tensei nocturne so much it's like these are unused soundtracks from the game.
Agents, it's time to erradicate the dinosaurs, let's go!
Carni-Jammo2 has to be my favourite
How about the dinosaurs sound effects?
the main theme belongs in call of duty world at war on the black cats level
This music sounds sick.
Also, the intro sounds like it would fit in more with the Aliens universe.
@@gabeerspamer3979well, if you read the lore you would know these “dinosaurs” are actually aliens
Creepy01 is just as it sounds
Carni_jamm_4 and the main one make me fell a kind of "power"
Imagine if Trent Reznor wrote a song for this game
When i first play the Cityscape, i was guess that it was an Allosaurus
Same!
Hmmm. You don't think they plagiarized the music, do you? Because I noticed it sounds a lot like Timesplitters 2 Music: Spacestation.
Probably the opposite
@@CatEyesOfficial I forgot to check the dates of each game, so I hope so.

Carni_Jamm02 like a forest song
